SALIENT POINTS OF THE PRESS CONFERENCE OF THE SENIOR BHARATIYA JANATA PARTY LEADER AND FORMER UNION MINISTER SHRI RAVI SHANKAR PRASAD JI HELD TODAY

The Bharatiya Janata Party welcomes the Gujarat High Court judgement on Modi surname defamation case. It is very apt and locally very sound judgement. In this case the entire conduct of Rahul Gandhi was also taken into notice.

Rahul Gandhi has been a habitual offender in the defamation case. There are 7-8 cases of defamation which are currently going on against Rahul Gandhi. Court has also taken this in consideration. Moreover, Rahul Gandhi does not apologize for his defamatory statements.

Why doesn't the Congress party controls Rahul Gandhi? Why he is not been given training how to speak in public? If he had apologized for his defamatory remarks against the OBC community, this matter would have ended then and there. The court even gave him a chance to apologise, but he kept on saying that I am not alike Savarkar who will apologize.

If Rahul Gandhi thinks that it is his right to insult people , then the court has also the right to punish him. How can someone say that all Modi are thief? How can he say anything absolutely absurd? He has no control in his tongue.

Rahul Gandhi has no sense of responsibility and he is full of arrogance. Someone can be arrogant for his qualities, but Rahul Gandhi is arrogant for being born in the Gandhi family. Rahul Gandhi thinks that he is above law because he belongs to the Gandhi family. Rahul Gandhi should know that he is not above the law and the law has done it work.

To insult and demean institutions and people is the habit of Rahul Gandhi, he thinks he has the right to insult people. If Rahul Gandhi insults someone, then people also have the right to move court which is natural. Modi surname is of many backward, most backward classes. It is highly objectionable and demeaning statement.

After the court's decision the Congress party leaders are saying that it is extreme punishment, but I want to ask why did Rahul Gandhi have such derogatory statement in the first place?

From wherever Rahul Gandhi contests election, he loses and then started criticizing that constituency. These days Rahul Gandhi is busy criticising Amethi. If he doesn't get vote then he blames the Election Commission. He the media does not praise him , then he says the media is sold out. If the court does not give judgement in his favour , then he criticises the court.

Rahul Gandhi does not do his homework. Rahul Gandhi goes to JNU and stands with the Tukde-Tukde gang. Rahul Gandhi even demeaned and insulted our brave army and level allegations of commission and financial bunglings. In the Modi surname case Rahul Gandhi has directly insulted the OBC community.

Rahul Gandhi goes overseas and there too he insults India's democracy. He does derogatory comments against Indian constitutional institutions. Rahul Gandhi blames the media and says Indian media has been sold out. In the Rafael case Rahul Gandhi lied about the Supreme Court judgement and then he had to apologise. Rahul Gandhi has no credibility left.

Rahul Gandhi has so much hatred inside him that he said that Sangh Pariwar got Gandhi killed. He repeatedly insulted our great freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. Rahul Gandhi even insulted Veer Savarkar during his visit abroad. In these cases defamation cases are going on against Rahul Gandhi.

The court has said there are 10 criminal cases that are currently going on against Rahul Gandhi. In this case the court has said there is no reason to suspend his punishment and there is no need to interfere in Surat court's judgement.
