Salient points of press conference of Senior BJP Leader Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad

The "Modi Ka Parivar" campaign launched nationwide in honor of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi reflects strong public sentiment

********************

The I.N.D.I. alliance's political agenda has adopted a nature of defaming India, publicly insulting Indian culture, and abusing the country's esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi

********************

The I.N.D.I. alliance persists in continuously defaming the country. DMK leader A Raja's statement that 'India is not a nation' reflects his Maoist ideology and unveils the misguided thinking of the Ghamandiya alliance

********************

DMK leader A Raja has grossly insulted Shri Ram and Bharat Mata. He has made indecent remarks against Shri Ram. While the Ghamandiya alliance leaders routinely make such statements, the parties in the I.N.D.I. alliance maintains a conspicuous silence. Congress will have to answer this

********************

The I.N.D.I. Alliance is an alliance with an anti-India and anti-tradition mindset. Even a MLA from the Trinamool Congress made derogatory remarks. All parties in this alliance, including the Congress, insult Indian culture, faith, and values every day. They become electoral Hindus for political gain

********************

To mask their defeat disappointment and deflect attention from their continuous public rejections, the Ghamandiya alliance resorts to making indecent comments about our esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi

********************

All the dynasts gather and say that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi does not have a family. However, the Honorable Prime Minister has demonstrated through his actions that in the country, "those who have no one, Modi is theirs." Today, the entire nation is saying - "I am Modi's family"

********************

Who gave Lalu Prasad Yadav the authority to issue certificates on who is a Hindu or not?  He didn't participate in the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Lalla. His leaders insult Shri Ramcharitmanas and disrespect Sanatan culture and he talks about the Hindu religion!

Senior BJP Leader & M.P. Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the press conference, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized the INDI Alliance, specifically the DMK, for allegedly defaming India and disrespecting its culture. Shri Prasad pointed out Anti-Hindu statements by DMK Minister A Raja, condemned offensive remarks against PM Shri Narendra Modi, including those by Lalu Prasad Yadav, and expressed disappointment with TMC leader Ramendu Singh Roy's comments on Ram Mandir. Overall, Shri Prasad suggested that the opposition's engagement in offensive statements reflected their frustrations.

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized the INDI Alliance, accusing them of a consistent pattern of defaming India. Shri Prasad asserted that insulting Indian culture and faith has become a political agenda for the alliance, particularly due to its association with the DMK. Shri Prasad highlighted instances of publicly demeaning Hindu deities and challenging the idea of India within the alliance's agenda. He referred to DMK Minister Udhyanidhi Stalin and mentioned that the Supreme Court had addressed the misuse of freedom of speech, leading to legal actions. The comments emphasize concerns about the alliance's approach to cultural and religious matters.

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad claimed that A Raja delivered a speech asserting, "India is not a nation; India is never a nation. One nation implies one language, one tradition, one culture. India is not a nation but a subcontinent."A Raja also remarked, "If this is your 'Jai Shree Ram' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', we will not accept 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' or 'Jai Shree Ram'. Tamil Nadu doesn't accept it, go. We are enemies of Ram." Shri Prasad pointed out that A Raja, the main accused in the 2G scam, exhibited this behavior. He questioned whether the opposition condoned A Raja's actions. Shri Prasad noted that Rahul Gandhi is visiting Ujjain today to seek blessings from Mahakaal, so he will say 'Jai Mahadev'. He criticized INC leaders for their ostentatious temple visits, suggesting that the INDI Alliance remains silent on disrespecting India's faith and culture because winning elections is their primary agenda.

Shri Prasad questioned whether INC would resort to extreme measures for winning elections. He cited the Constitution, stating that "India that is Bharat" embodies constitutional unity, including the names of all Indian states and languages with special status. He emphasized that the nation's soul resides in its unity in diversity.

Shri Prasad highlighted a statement from DMK Leader stating, "We will never accept Jai Shri Ram and Bharat Mata, Tamil Nadu won’t accept it, we are enemies of Ram." Shri Prasad posed a question, asking if DMK would dare to make similar derogatory remarks against the gods of other faiths and religions. He emphasized that the DMK should not assume they can escape scrutiny for such statements. Shri Prasad suggested the INDI Alliance to refrain from making anti-Hindu statements.

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad remarked that the opposition's criticism of PM Shri Narendra Modi reveals their frustration following consecutive defeats in 2014 and 2019, and in 2024, the opposition is on the brink of extinction. Shri Prasad highlighted various offensive statements made against PM Shri Narendra Modi, including the BBC remark that 'Muslims being slaughtered in groups' was rejected by the Supreme Court.

Shri Prasad criticized Lalu Prasad Yadav for stating that 'PM Modi is childless' and not Hindu, especially in the presence of his family. Lalu Yadav, claiming to be a disciple of Ram Manohar Lohia and Karpoori Thakur, has learned to oppose other leaders and confined himself to his own family. Shri Prasad questioned Lalu Yadav's silence on the 'Ram is an enemy' statement by a DMK leader. Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad emphasized that the success of the'Modi ka Parivar' campaign in the country reflects the emotional connection with the public and solidifies the claim that 'Jiska koi nahihai, uska Narendra Modi hai'.

Shri Prasad expressed dismay over remarks made by TMC leader Ramendu Singh Roy, questioning Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's visits to Ram Mandir based on his caste. Ramendu stated that “the offerings are done to the deities by the priests why PM Shri Narendra Modi is doing it”. He argued that in the inclusive ethos of Sanatan, revered figures like Mother Sabri, Nisad Raja, and Saint Ravidas are honored, regardless of caste. Hence, Roy's assertion that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, not being a Brahmin, should not visit temples, is unjustified. This ideology is utterly trivial. Why is Mamata Banerjee silent on this issue? BJP strongly condemns this perspective. Such comments are not only derogatory to the underprivileged and backward communities but also perpetuate a feudalistic ideology that bars them from temple worship.
