Bharatiya Janata Party MP Shri Manoj Tiwari addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday. During the press conference, BJP MP Shri Tiwari criticized AAP in Delhi, alleging the whole party's involvement in a liquor policy scam. He accused Arvind Kejriwal of not acting despite serious charges and highlighted issues like pension delays, no new ration cards have been issued, and halt in health and housing schemes.

 

BJP MP Shri Tiwari stated that a historic event unfolded today in New Delhi. In the liquor policy case, the entire Aam Aadmi Party has been implicated as accused in the scam. The ED has labeled AAP as the beneficiary of the scam and accused the party outright. All evidence points against Arvind Kejriwal, who advocated for resignation even on minor accusations but has remained in his CM post throughout the case and even after his arrest. After being named as 'Accused No. 37' in the ED chargesheet, people in Delhi are waiting for him to resign on moral grounds. However, when an entire party is implicated in a scam, it raises significant questions about the party's future.

 

Shri Tiwari mentioned that wherever I go as an MP, the people of Delhi are asking when action will be taken against the culprits of the scam. The Aam Aadmi Party, which entered politics with the motto of a corruption-free India, based its manifesto on this principle. However, Delhi residents want to know: Arvind Kejriwal stated that Vijay Nair did not report to him but to Ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj. The people of Delhi also want to know who allocated a government bungalow for Vijay Nair to reside in.

 

BJP MP Shri Tiwari stated that in Delhi, those who have turned 60 years old since 2018 are not receiving their old age pension. Additionally, in the past 10 years, not a single new ration card has been issued to any marginalized person in Delhi. Out of the 72 lakh ration card holders, approximately 1 lakh 72 thousand people have passed away. Despite this, no new ration cards have been issued to the poor. Whenever there is a public hearing, about 30% of the people present are requesting ration cards. 

 

Shri Tiwari mentioned that Delhi's public should be aware that the free medical treatment worth ₹5 lakh available is enrolled by 55 crore people nationwide. About 70-74 lakh people are receiving treatment under that scheme, but Arvind Kejriwal's government has stopped it in Delhi. Under the PM Awas Yojna, 4.21 crore houses have been provided nationwide, but this scheme is also stopped in Delhi's NCT, except for Kalkaji.

 

BJP MP Shri Tiwari asserted that Arvind Kejriwal needs to answer for his actions during his 10 years in governance. The entire Delhi is either suffering from water scarcity or excessive flooding. In light of the allegations against Arvind Kejriwal, the morality of his leadership is in question. The fact that he is now the prime accused in a scam raises serious concerns. The entire party being accused in the scam is accused no. 38 in the ED chargesheet, which means they have no right to remain in government. If Arvind Kejriwal continues to lead the government through letters, he owes it to the Delhi public to clarify what they can expect from his administration.
