I have come to meet all of you to get first-hand information about the benefits of various pro poor policies and programmes of the Narendra Modi Government and how it has changed the lives of the beneficiaries. The Bharatiya Janata Party government under the guidance and leadership of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is focused on public service, good governance and welfare of the poor. Our social welfare schemes and programmes have benefitted all sections of our society.

Also, I have also come here to convey the wishes of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to the beneficiaries of various government schemes and to tell you that Modi ji is always with you. The Bharatiya Janata Party is also committed to support and assist the Narendra Modi Government in all its pro poor policies and programmes.

Even the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have acknowledged that under the dynamic leadership of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji that in the last 8 years we have been able to bring 12 per cent people out of the poverty line. Today just less than 10 per cent of Indians are living below poverty line. Despite the Corona pandemic our extreme poverty level has been below 0.8 per cent. This is the real face of changing India.

It is the pledge of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to ensure that every poor has a house which is equipped with water and power connection besides having proper toilet and gas connection. He is also committed that no poor should sleep empty stomach for this the Narendra Modi Government is distributing free rations to over 80 crore people across the country.

Saubhagya Yojna, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ujjawal Yojna and Swachh Bharat Yojna are some of the revolutionary schemes of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji which has changed the fate and face of our country. Today our villages are equipped with all basic necessities.

Since Independence in the past 70 years only 2.75 crore people had bank accounts out of the 130 crore population. But in the past 8 years of the Narendra Modi Government has opened over 45 crore Jan Dhan bank accounts.

The Narendra Modi Government has given banking benefits to poorest of the poor. It has also ensured that beneficiaries of all government schemes get money directly into their bank accounts without any middlemen harrassing them. This shows how India has changed under the Narendra Modi Government.

In the last 8 years of the Bharatiya Janata Party government under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji over Rs 225 lakh crores as direct benefit transfer (DBT) directly into the Jan Dhan bank accounts of crores of beneficiaries of various government schemes. It was considered impossible as in previous governments middlemen and commission agents used to siphon off money of the poor.

Today our farmers does not need to borrow money to buy seeds and fertilizers. Our farmers have been saved from money lenders and harsh market conditions. It is all because our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has been giving Rs 2000 every quarter as financial aid. Under the Pradhanmantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna the Narendra Modi Government has so far given over Rs 2 lakh crores to over 11 crore farmers in 11 installments.
