Hon’ble Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a public rally in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday and criticized Congress for the lack of development in Himachal Pradesh. During the event, BJP National Vice President Shri Saudhan Singh, former Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur, Mandi Lok Sabha BJP candidate Sushri Kangna Ranaut, Himachal Pradesh BJP President Rajiv Bindal, Himachal Pradesh Incharge Shri Shrikant Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sikandar Kumar, MLA Shri Vinod Kumar and other leaders were present.
Shri Nadda remarked that the energy and enthusiasm of the people indicate their determination to send Sushri Kangana Ranaut to Delhi after winning the election. Lok Sabha election 2024 is not merely about winning but also about fulfilling the promise of a "Viksit Bharat." There was a sense of disillusionment in Indian politics ten years ago. The common person had accepted that nothing was going to change, and they believed that they were destined to lag behind. The prevailing thought in political circles ten years ago was that nothing would change. However, due to relentless efforts over the past ten years and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji's hard work, vision, dedication towards the country and leadership abilities, today the common man has started saying that India is moving forward with the determination to fulfill the pledge of 'Viksit Bharat'.
Hon’ble BJP National President highlighted that during the Congress era, the strategy was "Divide and Rule" based on religion and caste, exploiting regional identities, and playing politics on the basis of hills versus plains. Congress indulged in politics of vote bank and appeasement. Congress leader Sam Pitroda has formulated a plan to divide the people of India based on their skin and looks. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, on the other hand, has changed the definition, culture, practices, and ways of politics through the policy of "Vikaswaad ki Rajneeti (politics of development)." Without any discrimination based on caste or religion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has given the mantra of "Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas. "Today, India is leading globally in pharmaceutical production and petrochemicals, and it ranks second in steel production. India is no longer a country lagging behind. Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, it has transformed into a nation racing ahead.
Shri Nadda stated that during the COVID-19 crisis, countries like the United States, Russia, Japan, and China struggled to prioritize between humanity and the economy. However, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji proclaimed, "Jaan Hai To Jahan Hai" and readied the nation to combat COVID-19 by implementing a stringent lockdown. During the COVID crisis, India took the lead globally. While it took 25 to 28 years for tuberculosis and tetanus drugs to reach the country, and 100 years for the Japanese fever drug, under Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi ji's leadership, India developed not one, but two vaccines against COVID-19 in just 9 months, ensuring the safety of its people. Through the Vaccine Maitri initiative, India provided free vaccines to 48 countries and exported vaccines to 100 countries. Under the leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, India has transitioned into a country that gives, not just receives.
Hon’ble BJP National President highlighted that during the UPA government, soldiers were instructed to report gunfire incidents. However, under Shri Narendra Modi ko's leadership today, there's a directive that until the source of gunfire is neutralized, soldiers are to remain engaged. During the BJP government, following the terrorist attack in Uri, India conducted surgical strikes in Pakistan and eliminated threats. Within 10 days of the Pulwama attack, India conducted an airstrike in Balakot and dismantled terrorist camps. During the tenure of the UPA government, the army lacked bulletproof jackets, but today India exports them globally. India's defense exports have experienced notable progress, underscoring India's position as a contributor, rather than just a recipient, on the global stage.
Shri Nadda remarked that India is currently making rapid progress in various domains including national security, development, economic policy, and infrastructure. At present, a railway network spanning 56 thousand kilometers has been established. BJP's objective is to extend railway and air connectivity to Mandi, but to achieve this, people's support for the BJP is crucial. Hence, it's imperative to press the 'Lotus' button on the 1st June. Due to past mistakes made by the people of Himachal Pradesh in the state elections, there has been no change in the situation. Today, when the central government sends financial aid, the state government obstructs its utilization. Due to the mistakes made by the people of Himachal Pradesh in the assembly elections, the Shiv Dham project has been stalled. When a disaster struck Himachal, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji sanctioned ₹190 crores on July 10, ₹180 crores on July 14, ₹400 crores on August 1, ₹200 crores on August 20, and ₹600 crores on December 12 for relief. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 10,000 houses were constructed in Himachal. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, Shri Narendra Modi ji allocated funds for the construction of 2700 kilometers of roads. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's associates were allegedly involved in teacher recruitment scams, BRS leader K. Kavita was linked to liquor scams, and DMK leaders were allegedly involved in sand scams. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Sanjay Singh, P. Chidambaram, and Lalu Yadav are either out on bail while Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, Azam Khan, Hemant Soren, and K. Kavitha are in jail. The leaders of the INDI alliance are either in jail or out on bail. These corrupt people used to ask for votes in the name of caste from the people earlier, but today they are seeking votes in the name of religion. Rahul Gandhi roams around with the constitution but has never read it. Baba Saheb Ambedkar said that reservation cannot be provided in the name of religion, but Rahul Gandhi is trying to undermine the rights of Dalits, backward classes, and tribals by attacking reservations. The Congress attempted to provide reservations in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in the name of religion. They want to attack the rights of Dalits by changing the constitution.
Shri Nadda mentioned that BJP has chosen Sushri Kangana Ranaut as its candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha. He added that Sushri Ranaut hailing from a small state, established herself in the world of arts on the national and international stage, which is a matter of pride for Himachal Pradesh. Shri Nadda assured the people of Mandi that Sushri Kangana Ranaut will always illuminate Mandi's name in Parliament, and he appealed to make Sushri Kangana Ranaut victorious and to elect Shri Narendra Modi Ji as Prime Minister for the third time.
