SALIENT POINTS OF THE SPEECH OF THE BJP NATIONAL PRESIDENT SHRI J.P.  NADDA JI GIVEN TODAY WHILE INAUGURATING TWO DAY KSHETRIYA PANCHAYATI RAJ PARISHAD IN HOWRAH, WEST BENGAL

 

The Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji today welcomed Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji while inaugurating the two day Kshetriya Panchayati Raj Parishad of the party in Howrah, West Bengal. Shri Nadda also addressed the Kshetriya Panchayati Raj Parishad.

 

Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji virtually inaugurated this important meeting and addressed the inaugural session of the meeting.

 

Those present at the meeting included the West Bengal BJP President Shri Sukanta Majumdar , BJP West Bengal incharge Shri Mangal Pandey and all the important functionaries of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In this meeting 134 presidents and vice presidents of Zila Parishad of West Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and North Eastern States were present.

 

Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji said that to bring qualitative changes in the works and functioning of the office bearers of the Zila Parishad which include President, Vice President, Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Presidents of Nagar Parishads training is a must. And for this purpose the Kshetriya Panchayati Raj Parishad was envisaged. The Bharatiya Janata Party has very effectively and efficiently implemented this concept on the ground.

Today in Howrah in West Bengal two Kshetriya Panchayati Raj Parishad is being organised where Zila Parishad Presidents and Vice Presidents, and Presidents of Nagar Parishads from North Eastern States and Eastern states are participating. A total of 134 representatives are participating in this programme.

In Panchayati Raj institutions the responsibilities of elected representatives in Zila Parishads increases immensely. It is our responsibility to ensure that the benefits of the public welfare schemes and programmes reach the poorest of the poor and no one is deprived of these benefits and social welfare schemes.

Like previous years, this year too the Bharatiya Janata Party will observe 14 August as the Vibhajan Vibhishika Diwas . This day we will remember the pain and sorrow of Partition and pay homage and respects to those who lost their lives during Partition and were uprooted from their homes and had to live as refugees.

Under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has asked all citizens to unfurl the Tricolour in their homes from August 13 to 15. Also , all the BJP leaders and workers will take out 'prabhat pheris' at booth levels . Every party worker has to attend this programme and make it successful.

This yatra will also bring plants from various states and regions of the country. From the soil collected in 7500 Kalash and plant saplings collected from across the country "Amrit Vatika" will be created near the National War Memorial. This "Amrit Vatika " will become the grand symbol of "Ek Bharat - Shrestha Bharat ".
