The Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji was today grand a grand welcome on his arrival in Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. Over 15,000 BJP workers welcomed the party national president with the beats of drums and showering of flower petals. The massive turnout to recieve the Bharatiya Janata Party National President enthused the party workers and the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Addressing the BJP workers Shri Nadda said the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state has done massive development works, it has served the people well and taken care of the needs and welfare of all the sections of our society. I am fully confident that the people of Himachal Pradesh will once again bless and support the Bharatiya Janata Party and help in making its government in the state with massive majority.

Now it is the turn of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. All the Bharatiya Janata Party workers have to take the pro poor and development policies and programmes to all the households in these states. In the past 5 years Himachal Pradesh has created new records in development and growth. Whenever the Congress party government came to power in Himachal Pradesh, it snatched the rights of the people of the state. Whereas the Bharatiya Janata Party governments have always ensured rights of the people of Himachal Pradesh and have done great work for the growth and development of the state.

The Congress government at the Centre had snatched the 'special state' category from Himachal Pradesh. It was Honourable Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji who has given special economic package to the state during his tenure as Prime Minister. But it was due to to lackadaisical attitude of the Congress government that Himachal Pradesh became a laggard and all its development projects were stalled.

During the Manmohan Singh government at the Centre Himachal Pradesh had to make a contribution of 40% in all the projects sanctioned by the Centre. Irony was that under the Manmohan Singh government the money used to get released after many requests. And this step- motherly treatment to Himachal Pradesh happened when there was the Congress governments in both - the Centre as well as in the state.

When Honourable Shri Narendra Modi ji became Prime Minister in 2014 he had given Himachal Pradesh the status of 'special state' without even any demand by the state government. Now in all the central projects the Narendra Modi Government gives 90% of the funding while the Himachal Pradesh government has to just spend 10% of the project cost.

The foundation stone of Atal Tunnel was laid by Honourable Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, but under the Congress led UPA government the project came to a standstill and no work was done. Honourable Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji used to say the foundation stone of the Atal Tunnel was like a stone kept on my heart and it needs to be completed soon. Finally the construction of strategic Atal Tunnel was completed by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.

The Congress party has not given anything to Himachal Pradesh, it has in fact taken from the state. The Congress party and its governments have always deprived Himachal Pradesh and its people of their rights.

In Himachal Pradesh the BJP Chief Ministers so far are known for their development works. While a BJP Chief Minister is known for his work in giving water supply to homes, another is known for giving electricity to households and one is known for constructing a vast network of road infrastructure in the state. The BJP and Its Chief Ministers are synonymous with growth, development, progress and prosperity.

Whenever a development package has been announced for Himachal Pradesh it has either come during the Prime Ministership of Honourable Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji or now under our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.

In the last 40 years under the Congress party governments in Himachal Pradesh only 8 lakh households got tap water connection. Whereas under the Narendra Modi Government in just two years 8 lakh new water connection lns have been given. In the last two years over Re 1814 crores have been spent on this scheme in Himachal Pradesh alone by the Narendra Modi Government.

When the situation in Ukraine worsened due to war the Narendra Modi immediately stepped into action and started 'Operation Ganga' in which over 20,000 Indian students were safely airlifted . Out of this 426 students were from Himachal Pradesh. During the Operation Ganga the hardworking BJP workers went to the houses of these students and gave courage and support to their parents.

During the Corona pandemic the Narendra Modi Government for over two years now has been providing free ration to over 80 crore poor and needy people under the Gareeb Ann Kalyan Yojna so that not a single person should go to sleep empty stomach . Now this important scheme has been extended till September 2022.

We all know that the Opposition neither has a leader nor leadership; they also don't have any will or intention to serve the country and the people.
