Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji addressed a public meeting in Mathurapur West Bengal on Wednesday. Hon’ble Shri Modi ji slammed TMC for halting development in the state, and appealed to the public to elect BJP for the state's rapid development. During the meeting, West Bengal BJP President Shri Sukanta Majumdar, Mathurapur Lok Sabha BJP candidate Shri Ashok Purkait, Joynagar Lok Sabha BJP candidate Dr. Ashok Kandari and Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha candidate Shri Abhijit Das among other leaders were present.
Shri Modi ji began by seeking the blessing of Pavitra Ganga Sagar. The enthusiasm of the crowd showcases the massive victory of the BJP. Despite the cyclone and difficult circumstances, you all decided to come out and hold a massive rally here. I thank each one of you for the support you extend to us. Today, along with you, I will express my gratitude to the people of Kolkata as well. I can never forget the love, affection, and blessings that the people of Kolkata gave me yesterday evening during the roadshow, both before and after it. Your affection is sending a clear message, Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar.
Hon’ble Prime Minister noted that this is the last day of his campaign in West Bengal for the 2024 election. After this rally, he will head to Odisha, and then tomorrow to Punjab. He remarked that this Lok Sabha election is different and amazing in many ways, as people from across the country are coming forward to fight this election. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Attock to Cuttack, the public is leading the direction of the country. They have witnessed 10 years of development and also experienced 60 years of misery.
Shri Modi stated that earlier in Congress govts, crores of poor people in the country were deprived of basic life facilities. In a country like India, news of starvation was common. Millions of people do not have a roof over their heads. Women were forced to defecate in the open. There were no water facilities, and more than 18,000 villages had no electricity. There were no prospects for industries either. The biggest misfortune was that there was no discussion for improvement. Dynastic politics stifled the dreams and opportunities of crores of youth. Countries that gained independence around the same time as India and were even smaller in size developed rapidly, whereas India, with its immense potential and talented youth, lagged behind due to previous governments. Now, India is making rapid progress, and countries like the USA, Europe, Australia and Japan are acknowledging India's growth. This transformation is all because of the power of a vote.
Hon’ble Prime Minister mentioned that the central government has provided 4 crore poor people with pucca houses, given 12 crore households water connections, and ensured electricity reaches every village in the country. Today, India is the 5th largest economy in the world and is on its way to becoming the 3rd largest. India is progressing towards becoming 'Viksit Bharat'. The upcoming 5 years will play a crucial role in building 'Swarnim Bharat', marking a turning point that will start from June 4th. For 'Viksit Bharat' to be achieved, it is necessary to build 'Viksit Bengal', and this will only happen if the public votes for MPs who have a vision for 'Viksit Bengal'. I assure you and guarantee that I will put in all my efforts to build a 'Viksit Bengal'.
Shri Modi mentioned that the TMC and its supporters are taking Bengal in the opposite direction. The TMC cannot tolerate the love the people of Bengal have for the BJP, which is why they are so frustrated. The TMC has the sole motive of ‘Eta Hote Debo Na’ (We won’t let this happen). The BJP has tried to initiate programs like a women's helpline, the Ujjwala Yojana, and free healthcare facilities for senior citizens above 70 years, but the stance of the TMC remains ‘Eta Hote Debo Na’.
Hon’ble Prime Minister stated that lakhs of fishermen in this region are suffering huge losses due to the TMC's stubbornness. The central government is running numerous schemes for fishermen. We provided the facility of Kisan Credit Card to fishermen and started the PM Matsya Sampada Yojana, for which over ₹20,000 crore was allocated. However, the TMC government maintained the same obstructive attitude, saying ‘Eta Hote Debo Na’. TMC is not implementing the central government’s laws related to fishing, which is causing problems for fishermen in claiming insurance. But TMC doesn’t care about you; they only care about their 'Tolaabaaz' and “Cut Money” system. People should punish TMC for such acts and defeat them at each polling booth.
Shri Modi said that the BJP government send money to battle river erosion, but the TMC government has eaten up the funds. Their only agenda is to get ‘Cut Money’ in everything. From the poor's ration and PM Awas to children's midday meals, they want ‘Cut Money’ in everything. TMC is so irritated with the people that it is destroying Bengal’s identity. They are not even sparing the monasteries and saints of Bengal. TMC is abusing organizations like ISKCON, Ramakrishna Math, and Bharat Sevashram Sangha, and TMC goons are launching attacks on Math.
Hon’ble Prime Minister stated that after 500 years, Bhagwan Ram’s majestic Mandir was constructed in Ayodhya. Ram Mandir is a center of our faith, but TMC calls Ram Mandir impure. Such a TMC can never protect the culture of Bengal. The TMC government is openly attacking the country’s constitution just for the sake of appeasement. Our constitution has provided reservations for Dalits and backwards, but in Bengal, these reservations are being openly looted. Fake OBC certificates are being made for Muslims, and the rights of the OBC community are being snatched and given to Muslims. The Calcutta High Court canceled these fake certificates. TMC cannot avoid the Calcutta High Court’s orders, but it is misleading Muslims. They can go to any limit just for the sake of appeasement.
Shri Modi stated that on June 1, your vote can end the misrule of TMC. We will begin the journey towards a developed and Surakshit Bengal. Intruders are snatching away opportunities from Bengal's youth and capturing lands, causing nationwide concern. The demography in the border areas has changed. TMC opposes the implementation of the CAA, which is meant to grant citizenship to religiously persecuted minorities, but shows no remorse when infiltrators enter Bengal and alter its demography. He said that TMC doesn't want Hindu refugees and the Matua community to stay in Bengal. However, people should not worry, as after June 4, all these tactics by the TMC will fail. The Matua and Namasudra communities will surely get their rights. All the refugees will proudly receive Indian citizenship. This is 'Modi Ki Guarantee'.
Hon’ble Prime Minister stated that the TMC has deprived Bengal and this region of development. People have now realized that only the BJP can bring about development with honesty. We have established two food processing units and are working to reduce congestion at Kolkata Port. The public must strengthen the BJP in Bengal, and the BJP will fulfill every expectation of the people. A single vote can change the political direction of the country. After June 4, within the next six months, the country will witness a huge political upheaval. All these dynastic parties will shatter on their own, as even their workers are tired and are observing the movement of the nation and the opposition parties. Hon’ble Shri Modi ji urged support for BJP candidates and to make them victorious with a huge majority. Every vote given to them will strengthen Modi.
