Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji addressed public rallies in Barrackpur, Hooghly, Arambag and Howrah, West Bengal on Sunday and criticized the TMC, Congress, and Left parties for the deterioration of West Bengal. During rallies, BJP State President Shri Sukanta Majumdar, Barrackpur Lok Sabha candidate Shri Arjun Singh, Hooghly Lok Sabha candidate Smt Locket Chatterjee and Serampore Lok Sabha candidate Shri Kabir Shankar Bose Arambagh candidate Shri Arup Kanti Digar, Howrah candidate Shri Rathin Chakraborty among other leaders were present.

 

Shri Modi stated that the picture in the rally depicts a distinct atmosphere in West Bengal, indicating that something significant is on the horizon. BJP is poised to achieve even greater success than it did in 2019. The entire state resonates with the chants of 'Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar.' In the past 10 years, I have dedicated myself tirelessly to serving and uplifting you. Today, I humbly stand before you, seeking your blessings once again. The 2024 elections carry profound significance for the development of Bengal and the preservation of its rich culture. Prime Minister Modi emphasized that his accomplishments are indebted to the blessings of the nation. His aspirations have now expanded beyond personal ambitions to encompass the service of the Maa Bharti, representing a commitment to the welfare and progress of all citizens. God has given birth to Modi on earth to serve the poor, Dalits, backward and tribal of the country.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister asserted that after the conclusion of three phases of the Lok Sabha election, the BJP-led NDA will cross ‘400 Paar’. Congress will get fewer seats than the age of Congress' 'Shehzada'. Shri Modi stated that in a family, the head often maintains an inheritance and property for their heir, but for Modi, the country is his family and its citizens are their heirs. As an inheritance, Modi wants to give ‘Viksit Bharat’ to the future generation. The 2024 elections are pivotal for Bengal's development, the safeguarding of its culture, and securing a bright future for our children. The TMC believes they possess ownership over Bengali culture. Yet, this land reveres Maa Durga and Maa Kali, yet faith is kept under surveillance here. Uttering the name of Ram has been criminalized. If TMC prevails, even Baba Tarakeshwar Dham could face prohibition.

 

Shri Modi states that West Bengal holds crucial significance in Modi's mission. For years after Independence, the Congress-led governments failed to bring prosperity to East India. States like West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh, abundant in minerals, coal, blue economy potential, fertile land, and rich in tourism, remained neglected under Congress and INDI alliance rule. In 2014, the people entrusted Modi with the opportunity to serve, and now I am determined to transform India's Eastern States into the growth engine of 'Viksit Bharat.' Today, we are witnessing the construction of modern rail, road, airport, and waterway networks across East India. The implementation of dedicated freight corridors has led to unprecedented industrial expansion in these states. The establishment of gas pipeline networks will further support industrial growth. The BJP-led government has revived closed factories, and over the next five years, we aim to accelerate these developmental efforts in Eastern India. I seek your blessings for this transformative journey.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister highlighted the significant role Barrackpur played in the freedom movement but lamented the decline it has seen under TMC rule. Once a hub of economic activity, Barrackpur's condition has deteriorated, becoming a center of corruption. Previously known for scientific research, now home industries manufacturing explosives proliferate under TMC governance. Bengal, once known for resistance against infiltrators, now shelters them under TMC care. In West Bengal, practicing one's religion freely has become challenging, with restrictions even on mentioning Bhagwan Ram or celebrating Ram Navami. The Congress and Left also oppose the construction of the Ram Mandir, while the Congress and INDI Alliance prioritize appeasement politics and advocate for 'Vote Jihad'. Shockingly, a TMC MLA even threatened that Hindus would be submerged in the River Bhagirathi. This is the land of Gurudev Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Satyajit Ray, yet under the rule of TMC, there is no freedom of expression. Opposition, informed citizens, and independent voices are being stifled. A land that once produced leaders like Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee is now grappling with the repercussions of vote bank politics. The environment is such that even sharing a joke or a cartoon on social media can result in threats and harassment.

 

Shri Modi highlighted that TMC has marginalized Hindus into second-class citizens in Bengal. The INDI Alliance aims to redistribute SC/ST and OBC reservations to their 'Special Class' as part of appeasement politics. In Karnataka, Congress has already diverted OBC reservations to this 'Special Class'. Opposition parties have demonized the CAA due to vote bank politics, despite it being a law to grant citizenship to victims rather than revoke it. Congress and its allies spread falsehoods about the CAA, opposing rights for partition victims and citizenship for the Matua community. To appease their vote bank, TMC seems willing to employ any tactics at their disposal. TMC's stance appears to be staunchly anti-women and anti-SC/ST. The TMC government is obstructing the progress of the SC community due to their vested interests, while the BJP government prioritizes the welfare of the SC community. During the Congress government's tenure, only a budget of ₹40 thousand crore annually was allocated for the welfare of the SC society. Today, under the BJP government, the budget for the welfare of the SC community exceeds ₹1 lakh 40 thousand crore annually, demonstrating a significant commitment to their upliftment.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister presented five guarantees to West Bengal. First: There will be no reservation based on religion as long as Modi is in power. Second: The reservation for SC/ST and OBC communities will remain intact as long as Modi is in power. Third: No one can obstruct the celebration of Ram Navami as long as Modi is in power. Fourth: The Supreme Court's verdict on the Ram Mandir will not be overturned as long as Modi is in power. Fifth: The CAA law will not be revoked as long as Modi is in power. It's well known that 'Modi Ki Guarantee Yani Guarantee Pura Hone Ki Guarantee'.

 

Shri Modi emphasized Barrackpur's historical significance as a hub for the jute industry, benefiting from its location near the River Ganga and conducive environment for farming and related industries. However, today, the jute industry is struggling despite efforts by the Central government to support it, including increasing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for jute and promoting the use of jute bags for shopping food grains. Unfortunately, the condition of jute farmers has not improved due to the negligence of the TMC government. Parties like TMC, known for their corruption, are rare in Indian politics, and the people of Bengal are united against them, demanding accountability and justice with the chant “Choro Ko Giraftar Karo Aur Unhe Jail Mein Daalo''. In its manifesto, Congress has talked about giving reservation to minorities, from government contracts to sports. But people need not be afraid, "Vanchit Ke Adhikar Ka Modi Chowkidar Hai.”

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister highlighted that under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, ₹350 crore has been disbursed to farmers in Hooghly. The government has also announced the formation of special clusters for potato and onion farmers, aiming to bolster their production and distribution. Additionally, significant progress has been made in railway infrastructure development, including the commencement of India's first underwater metro in Kolkata. The Centre is actively supporting the development of port infrastructure. Despite these efforts, the TMC government's neglect of investment in the state will be met with a strong response from the public in the election. While the BJP is advocating for ‘Make in India’, the TMC is giving strength to ‘Break In India.’ If all the evils like corruption, nepotism and appeasement of Congress and the atrocities and anarchy of the Left are combined together, then TMC is formed. Today two departments of robbery are running in TMC, the work of TMC leaders is to do scams and the work of the goons trained by TMC is to grab land. The extent to which TMC is plundering Bengal is a grave sin. From teacher recruitment scam to Ponzi schemes, coal scam, chit-fund frauds, and ration scam, the list is alarmingly long. Even our farmers haven't been spared by TMC. They exploit paddy farmers in the Mandis.

 

Shri Modi mentioned that while the opposition is focused on serving their own families, Modi has accomplished significant milestones for the nation, including the construction of 4 crore houses, with an additional 3 crore houses planned for his third term. His initiatives include the Har Ghar Jal mission, providing free ration, distributing LPG cylinders to 12 crore women under the Ujjwala Yojana, offering ₹6000 financial assistance for pregnant women, extending maternity leave to 26 weeks, and aiming to empower 3 crore women across the country as ‘Lakhpati Didis’. Additionally, Modi is working towards making self-help groups self-reliant and empowering women to become drone pilots. All these efforts are directed towards uplifting his poor family, the citizens of India. The Centre has announced the launch of the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana, aimed at promoting the adoption of solar energy. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of ₹75,000 to households for setting up solar panels, effectively reducing their electricity bills to zero. Additionally, families generating surplus electricity will have the opportunity to sell it back to the government. This initiative not only aims to make electricity more accessible and affordable but also encourages the transition towards cleaner energy sources, including the promotion of electric vehicles. The TMC government in Bengal obstructs the welfare schemes initiated by the central government. Today, Modi is transforming the same 110 districts that were neglected by previous INDI Alliance governments into aspirational districts. Similarly, the Modi government has launched the Aspirant Block program to uplift regions in need of development. The Modi government is actively establishing ethanol and bio-fuel plants, which will significantly benefit paddy farmers as well. Moreover, the BJP government has initiated the world's largest scheme for grain storage and is on the verge of creating special clusters for potatoes, onions, and tomatoes. These endeavors will directly empower the farmers of West Bengal, contributing to their prosperity and well-being.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister stated that the TMC has turned scams into a full-time business, surpassing even the corruption found in other parties like Congress, the Left, and the INDI Alliance. While corruption may be clandestine in many other parties, the TMC operates a brazen network of scams. The lottery scam serves as a stark illustration, with corrupt TMC leaders at its helm, enjoying protection from the TMC-led government despite their widespread involvement in illicit activities. The TMC government exploited central schemes, selectively allocating funds from programs like PM Awas Yojana to those affiliated with or paying kickbacks to TMC leaders. Additionally, corruption has tainted efforts like the Jal Jeevan Mission, with the Bengal government allegedly manipulating access to water for political gains, leaving many poor citizens deprived of their basic rights.

 

Shri Modi highlighted the recent CAG report on the TMC government, revealing that they failed to account for ₹2 lakh 30 thousand crore, indicating a significant scam. The teacher's recruitment scandal stands out as a prime example of TMC's corruption, with reports of a rate card being established for selling teaching positions openly in markets. Posts were auctioned, OMR sheets were used, and fake interviews were conducted, with the court affirming that the government machinery was complicit in this scam. Modi vows to meticulously scrutinize every penny of the plunder inflicted upon Bengal by the TMC government. Those responsible for amassing these illicit fortunes will not escape justice. To every Bengali afflicted by corruption, I assure you, no corrupt individual will go unpunished. Modi is actively seeking avenues to reclaim these crores of rupees and ensure they are returned to the victims. TMC's misgovernance has deeply impacted the women of our states, particularly the situation of SCs and STs, which is dire. The recent incident in Sandeshkhali is a glaring example. The perpetrator was initially shielded by the TMC police, and now, TMC has resorted to a new tactic. TMC goons are intimidating and threatening the women of Sandeshkhali simply because the perpetrator's name is Shahjahan Sheikh. Firearms were discovered at his residence, yet TMC is attempting to secure a clean chit for him in order to appease their vote bank.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister highlighted the stark contrast between his vision of “Har Ghar Jal” and the TMC's approach of "Har Ghar Bomb''. He referenced a recent tragic incident where a bomb blast claimed the lives of innocent children. The party that talks about ‘Maa Maati Maanush’, is insulting and destroying the culture and legacy of Bengal. There is a race for appeasement between the TMC and Congress is evident across the nation.

 

Shri Modi emphasized the significance of "Viksit Bharat," stating that "Viksit Bengal" holds key importance. He stressed the need to uplift both farmers and industries in the region. To achieve this, it is crucial to ensure a resounding victory for Shri Arjun Singh from Barrackpore, Shri Kabir Shankar Bose from Serampore, Smt Locket Chatterjee from Hooghly and Shri Rathin Chakraborty from Howrah with every vote cast for the Lotus symbol being a direct endorsement of Modi's vision and agenda.
