Our government will also provide 5 lakh government jobs to over 1 lakh women in the state. The Bharatiya Janata Party has taken the pledge to make Gujarat a $1 trillion economy and also FDI hub of the country.

The Narmada project was started even before my birth, but when Sardar was attached to the name of the project, the Congress party and its Government started creating hurdles in the Narmada project. When our leader Honourable Shri Narendra Modi ji became the Chief Minister of Gujarat he ensured victory for the state in all the court battles which were related to the Narmada river project.

The Sonia - Manmohan government at the Centre did not give permission to increase the height of the Narmada dam. To protest against this our the then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji sat on fast in Ahmedabad in 2005, which led to the Sonia- Manmohan government succumbing under the pressure and permission was granted to raise the height of the Narmada dam project. It was a big victory for the people of Gujarat.

Honourable Shri Narendra Modi ji constructed over 1.5 lakh check dams across Gujarat and also ensured uninterrupted water supply to every corner of the state including north Gujarat. Similarly 900 ponds were constructed across the state with an expenditure of over Rs 1500 crores. A network of canals were constructed across the state under Sajlam Suflam Yojna which provided water for irrigation to every corner of Gujarat. All this has led to massive improvement in the groundwater level in the state.

The problem in Jammu and Kashmir became more complex due to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and was considered as an unsolvable issue. But our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji scrapped Article 370 from our Constitution which led to unification of Jammu and Kashmir with India in its real sense. Today Jammu and Kashmir is the integral part of our country in its true sense.
