Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP leader Shri Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Akola, Maharashtra on Tuesday criticized the Congress and INDI Alliance for corruption and lack of development in the state. During the event, BJP Lok Sabha candidate Shri Anup Sanjay Dhotre, state BJP President Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankule among others were present.

Shri Shah commenced his address by paying homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Shri Shah extended greetings on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. Shri Shah highlighted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been working on the establishment of the Ram Mandir. Bhagwan Ram had been residing in a tent for the past 500 years. When Shri Narendra Modi was re-elected as Prime Minister, he performed the ‘Bhoomipujan’ ceremony for the Ram Mandir and the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla. Shri Shah stated that the INDI Alliance opposed the Ram Mandir, but the temple was built in Ayodhya. After 500 years, everyone witnessed the auspicious occasion of Ram Navmi in the magnificent temple, where Bhagwan Ram's forehead is adorned with Surya Tilak, fulfilling the wishes of all Ram devotees. Shri Shah stated that the Kawad Yatra of Akola is famous throughout the country, where devotees carrying water from the Purna river go to offer it to Bhagwan Shiv. Similarly, Shri Narendra Modi has embarked on a 'Vikas Ki Kawad Yatra' in all four directions - east, west, north, and south.  The resolution of this Kawad Yatra is to develop the entire nation and make it a "Viksit Bharat".

Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation stated that the Congress government left the Indian economy at the 11th position, but Shri Narendra Modi turned it into the 5th economic power. After becoming Prime Minister for the third time, India will become the third-largest economy in the world. Shri Shah emphasized that when the economy reaches the third position, it will benefit the youth, women, farmers, marginalized communities, Dalits, and indigenous people. He stated that 3 crore women will benefit from the Lakhpati Didi Yojna. The Home Minister stated that the goal is to make the ‘Lotus’ symbol victorious in every seat in Maharashtra. Shri Amit Shah remarked that leaders like INC National President Mallikarjun Kharge questioned the relevance of Kashmir issue in Maharashtra. Shri Shah highlighted that Shri Narendra Modi abrogated Article 370 on August 5th, 2019, a development people had been waiting for 70 years, thereby permanently integrating Kashmir with India.

Shri Shah pointed out the occurrences of terrorist attacks in India by Pakistani infiltrators during the 10 years of the Sonia-Manmohan era, with Sharad Pawar serving as Union Minister. He criticized Congress for not taking decisive actions against these attacks, attributing it to vote bank politics. However, under the BJP government, in response to incidents like the Pulwama and Uri attacks, swift and decisive action was taken, including air strikes and surgical strikes against Pakistani terrorists, under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi. Additionally, significant progress has been made in addressing the issue of Naxalism in Maharashtra. Shri Shah emphasized the BJP's commitment to women's rights by abolishing the practice of Triple Talaq, contrasting it with the Congress's stance of potentially reinstating the practice. He expressed confidence that the people of Akola would reject the Congress and ensure that Triple Talaq does not return.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation highlighted the oppression faced by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, and women in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, including instances of rape. To provide them with security and dignity, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi introduced the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) for their citizenship. However, INC leader P. Chidambaram and his party advocate for repealing the CAA if they come to power. Shri Amit Shah emphasized that the BJP will steadfastly defend the CAA. Over the past decade, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched numerous beneficial schemes for the poor, including providing 5 kg of foodgrains per month to 80 crore people, constructing over 4 crore houses, building 12 crore toilets, providing LPG connections to over 10 crore people, and providing water connections to 4 crore people. Additionally, more than 60 crore people received an annual health cover of Rs 5 lakh. Shri Shah urged voters in Akola to support Shri Anoop Sanjay Dotre, promising a free health cover of Rs 5 lakh for people above 70 years and gas connections through pipelines in every household.

Shri Shah accused the Congress of misleading the public by claiming that if the BJP won 400 seats, it would end reservations. However, despite forming a government twice in 2014 and 2019 with a full majority, the BJP did not abolish reservation. Instead, the BJP utilized its mandate to abolish Article 370, Triple Talaq, and introduce the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Shri Shah emphasized that as long as the BJP government exists, no one can remove SC/ST reservation, guaranteeing it as a 'Modi Ki Guarantee'. In the entire Vidarbha region, the BJP and the Shri Eknath Shinde government have worked to improve the irrigation system. The BJP has initiated the Pen Ganga-Nal Ganga interlinking program worth Rs 89,000 crore for better water management in the Vidarbha region, effectively addressing the drought in Akola. Upon completion of this project, irrigation on three-time crops will be ensured on more than 4 lakh hectares of land in Nagpur, Wardha, Amravati, Yavatmal, Akola, and Buldhana districts. The government has also introduced an E-bus service in Akola, inaugurated the Samangaon-Jalna railways, launched the Marathwada dairy project with Rs 160 crore investment, established a veterinary college in Akola, set up a modern orange processing center in Buldhana, and established a Rs 1700 crore waste processing unit. In Akola and Amravati alone, 2 lakh women received LPG connections.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation stated that during the Sonia-Manmohan era, Maharashtra received Rs 1 lakh 91 thousand crore, whereas under the BJP government, it has received Rs 7 lakh 15 thousand crore. Significant allocations have been made for various development projects, including Rs 2 lakh 90 thousand crore for basic infrastructure, Rs 75 thousand crore for road construction, Rs 2 lakh 10 thousand crore for railway development, and Rs 4 thousand crore for airports. Currently, Maharashtra leads in investment under the BJP government. Shri Shah criticized the coalition government comprising Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress, stating that only the leadership of Shri Eknath Shinde, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and Shri Ajit Pawar can truly benefit Maharashtra under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership. He emphasized the need for unity across the nation to propel India to global prominence under PM Shri Narendra Modi's leadership. Shri Amit Shah urged voters to firmly embrace the Lotus button, ensuring that the impact of their vote in Akola reaches all the way to Italy.
