On the occasion of the launch of Rashtriya Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024 at the “Sangthan Parv” by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Senior BJP Leader and Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah addressed the program at Central office on Monday. During the address, Shri Shah stated that in the BJP, a worker is not just a member but a vibrant entity, a carrier of ideology, a nurturer of work culture, and a link between the government and the organization, ensuring that the government remains connected with the people. The BJP is not only the largest political party in the world but also the most unique. It is the only party that conducts its membership drive every 6 years. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji was the first to take membership of BJP under this campaign through a missed call. During the event, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, and other party leaders and officials were present on stage.
Shri Shah stated that today is an auspicious day for all BJP karyakartas and well-wishers of the Bharatiya Janata Party across the country. With the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji renewing his membership today, the BJP's 2024 membership drive will once again commence. BJP is not only the largest political party in the world but also the most unique among political parties. Today, there are over 1,500 parties on India's political map, yet none of them conduct their membership drives in a democratic, open and consistent manner every six years. Only the BJP has upheld this tradition and continually advanced it.
Senior BJP Leader Shri Shah emphasized that BJP karyakartas will renew their membership from the start to the conclusion of the membership drive. Many well-wishers of the Bharatiya Janata Party will become party karyakartas and gradually integrate into the party. In BJP, a karyakarta is not just a member but a vibrant entity, a carrier of ideology, a nurturer of work culture and a link between the government and the organization. This connection ensures that the government remains consistently connected with the people.
Shri Shah stated that the dream of building a strong and prosperous India will be fulfilled due to the connection BJP karyakartas have with the people. This journey began in 1950 when the BJP was a small entity. From being a small unit to becoming the nation’s largest party, the BJP has challenged its opponents in every election with the chant of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai." This enthusiasm comes only from a vibrant organization. At the start of the membership drive, a workshop was held where I stated that the BJP's membership drive should be all-encompassing and inclusive. No booth should be left untouched. Inclusivity means that the membership drive should move forward with the goal of including every individual from every age group, community, caste, and religion into the BJP. A strategic plan has been created for the membership drive, and just like in 2014, the BJP will surpass the goal of the membership drive.
Senior BJP Leader Shri Shah stated that the BJP has always moved forward with a clear ideology and began its work in politics based on that ideology. Bharatiya Janata Party has faced many years of struggle, witnessed several defeats, endured crushing losses, and also experienced victories, but the party has consistently continued its work. In the past 10 years, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the BJP government has provided 60 crore poor people with houses, electricity, ration, gas and health services up to ₹5 lakh. Whether it's rural development, urban development, energy, space, digitization, strengthening infrastructure, internal and external security, healthcare, or introducing a new education policy, the country has achieved new heights in every field over the last decade and secured its place in the world. This is a matter of pride for all BJP karyakartas. Over the past 10 years, under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, many long standing issues in the country have been resolved. Whether it’s the construction of the Ram Mandir, the abrogation of Article 370, the introduction of the UCC, the abolition of triple talaq, or the creation of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, all these tasks have been accomplished under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
Shri Shah stated that in the history of the BJP, it was under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji that the work of building the organization and institutionalizing membership was done. In the 1980s, when Shri Narendra Modi was the Organization Secretary in Gujarat, slips were not registered. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji traveled day and night for 45 days during that time to institutionalize the membership drive. Every member's data was registered, and the organization in Gujarat was strengthened. Energizing the organization is the responsibility of all party workers and office bearers.
Senior BJP Leader Shri Shah remarked that today, BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda has set the party's membership target publicly. The membership drive will be completed, a new organization will be established and then the campaign for 'Bharat Vijay' and 'Bhajpa Vijay’ will begin once again. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has presented the vision of 'Mahan Bharat Viksit Bharat', with the dream of making India the foremost in every sector by the centenary of our independence. Everyone must work together to expand the BJP family by reaching every street, home, village, city, mountain, forest and island, and by engaging with every corner of the country. Every karyakarta should bring new energy to the party and familiarize people with the party's work culture.
Shri Shah expressed confidence that the crores of BJP karyakartas will make this campaign successful and realize the dream of 'Mahan Bharat Viksit Bharat', as envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, through the organization's efforts.
