Salient points of the speech of Union Home Minister & Minister for Cooperation Shri Amit Shah while addressing a joint mega rally of Bharatiya Janata Party & Nishat Party in Lucknow (UP)

The massive turnout in this joint rally of Bharatiya Janata Party & Nishad Party has once again proved that the strong alliance of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Nishad Party will ensure over 300 assembly seats in the state and the NDA will form its Government with a massive mandate.

Under the leadership and guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the Bharatiya Janata Party will once again form its Government in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji. The Yogi Adityanath Government will fulfill all demands and wishes of the Nishad community in the state.

The Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party have divided the society on the basis of caste. What is more worrying is that the leadership of these two parties cheated and ditched people of  their own caste by promoting and serving the interests of just their families.

During their 'vanvaas', Lord Rama and goddess Sita were sleeping on the ground, and this scene moved Nishadraaj who started crying. Similarly we have all seen Lord Rama living in a makeshift temple in Ayodhya for years. Who were the forces who had stopped the construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya?

Under the guidance and inspiration of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji a grand Ram Temple is being constructed in Ayodhya, while on the other hand he has revived the lost glory and grandeur of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi. All this is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for all Indians.

In Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party formed their governments but no one cared and worked for all communities in the state, they worked only for their own caste and family. These governments neither worked for the welfare and upliftment of the Nishad community nor did they worked for the growth and development of other backward caste communities.  Under their rule the condition of backward classes and oppressed people further worsened.

For the past several years, the fishermen community had been demanding a separate department that could look into their problems and issues and which could work for their welfare. Today, we have a separate department for the welfare of those working in the fisheries and its credit goes to our dynamic Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji. Projects and programmes worth Rs.20,000 crores have so far been implemented through this department which has improved the lives of lakhs of people engaged in the fisheries sector.

The Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party both claim to be pro backward classes. These two parties supported the Congress party government at the Centre, still they were unsuccessful in getting constitutional status to the National Commission for Backward Classes. This important and landmark work was done by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.

Between 2015 and 2019, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji started the 'Blue Revolution' for the growth and development of the fisheries sector for which Rs.5000 crore were earmarked. Similarly the Narendra Modi government is also instrumental in strengthening the water fed agriculture infrastructure with a budget of Rs.7,522 crore. This has changed the face of rural India.

The Yogi Adityanath Government in Uttar Pradesh has created a separate department for those working in the fisheries sector. The Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state has also invested around Rs.1191 crore for fish eggs production to help the fishermen community.

More than 5,900 fishermen have so far got credit cards while the remaining members of the fishermen community will get the credit card next year. Arrangements have also been made for allotment of ponds and other water bodies in Uttar Pradesh.

The Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party governments in Uttar Pradesh used to protect the mafia, whereas under the Yogi Adityanath Government all mafia and criminal elements have been forced to flee from Uttar Pradesh. The rule of law and order has once again been established in Uttar Pradesh by the Bharatiya Janata Party government.

I firmly believe that in a state where there is lawlessness, where there is rule of mafia and goonda elements, that state can never progress and prosper, and in that state the poor will never develop and grow. Poor will grow and prosper when there is rule of law in the state.
