Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Sakoli, Maharashtra on Sunday. During the event, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Praful Patel, State In-charge Shri Dinesh Sharma and Bhandara–Gondiya Lok Sabha Candidate Shri Sunil Baburao Mendhe were present on the stage. During the address, Shri Amit Shah paid homage to Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. Shri Shah contrasted Congress's promises with Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's achievements, highlighting the elevation of 25 crore people above the poverty line. Shri Shah underscored the achievements of Modi's 10-year tenure and took a dig at Congress, urging BJP to secure more than 400 seats.

Shri Amit Shah paid homage to Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, recognizing him for bestowing India with its constitution and fostering unity among its citizens. Shri Shah highlighted that Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's constitution is the epitome of inclusivity, ensuring equal treatment for all. Shri Shah pointed out that while the Congress seeks votes by invoking the name of Babasaheb, their historical actions suggest otherwise. Shri Shah highlighted instances such as the 1954 by-election, where the Congress campaigned against Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, even resorting to distributing one rupee and a packet of salt to undermine him. Despite Congress's prolonged rule, they failed to honor Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar with the Bharat Ratna and consistently disrespected him. In contrast, the BJP has paid tribute to Babasaheb by honoring all five pilgrimage places associated with him.

Shri Amit Shah highlighted that the Congress has shown disrespect to the legacy of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar by propagating falsehoods. They falsely claim that if BJP were to secure 400 seats, they would abolish reservation. Shah emphasized that despite having a majority for two consecutive terms, BJP has never pursued the abolition of reservation. Instead, they utilized their majority to address critical issues like the abrogation of Article 370 and the eradication of the malpractice of Triple Talaq. Shri Shah affirmed that as long as the BJP remains in politics, it will not only uphold reservations but also safeguard them from any threat of abolition.

Shri Shah affirmed that by voting for Shri Sunil Baburao Mendhe, the people would pave the way for Shri Narendra Modi to assume the Prime Ministership for the third time. Over the past decade, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has honored all the commitments made by the BJP. Shri Shah highlighted AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge's remark questioning the relevance of Kashmir to the people of Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Shri Shah asserted that people of Bhandara–Gondiya, are deeply connected to Kashmir and willing to make sacrifices for it. Shri Amit Shah noted the Congress's past treatment of Article 370 as an illegitimate issue, but during Shri Narendra Modi's second term as Prime Minister he abrogated article 370.

Shri Shah pointed out Congress' historical stalling of the Ram Mandir issue, contrasting it with PM Shri Narendra Modi's swift action, culminating in the Ram Mandir verdict and the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla on January 22nd. Shri Shah highlighted the forthcoming historic event of Ram Lalla's installation in his grand temple on Ramnavmi, April 17th, after 500 years. Additionally, PM Shri Narendra Modi's initiatives include the construction of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and the restoration of cultural landmarks like the Badrinath, Kedarnath and Somnath Temples, symbolizing a revival of our cultural heritage. Shri Narendra Modi has played a pivotal role in enhancing the security and prosperity of the nation.

Shri Shah highlighted the contrast between Congress's 10-year rule, marked by terrorist activities and silence, and PM Shri Narendra Modi's proactive approach. Shri Shah emphasized PM Shri Narendra Modi's swift retaliation to Uri and Pulwama attacks within 10 days by entering Pakistan's territory. Under PM Shri Modi's leadership, Naxalism has been eradicated from Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Bihar and Jharkhand in 10 years. Shri Amit Shah predicts Chhattisgarh will be Naxalism-free within 3 years of PM Shri Narendra Modi's third term.

Shri Shah pointed out Rahul Gandhi's promise to eradicate poverty in his manifesto, oblivious to the fact that his grandmother, Indira Gandhi, made the same pledge during her tenure, yet poverty persisted through subsequent administrations, including those of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. However, under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership, significant strides have been made in poverty alleviation through various government initiatives and policies. Under PM Narendra Modi's leadership, 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty. The PM Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana ensures that 80 crore individuals receive free ration every month. In his third term, PM Shri Narendra Modi has announced the continuation of this scheme for the next 5 years, further aiding those in need. Under PM Shri Narendra Modi's leadership, 12 crore toilets have been constructed, and 4 crore poor have received houses under the PM Awas Yojana. Today, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced that an additional 3 crore houses will be provided, continuing his commitment to housing for all.

Shri Amit Shah stated that under the Ujjwala Yojana, gas cylinders have been provided to more than ten crore women. In the next five years, efforts will be made to deliver gas through pipes. Criticizing Rahul Gandhi, Shri Amit Shah highlighted that during the Congress regime the budget for agricultural welfare in 2013-14 was only 22 thousand crores, whereas in 2022-23, Shri Narendra Modi increased it to one lakh 25 thousand crores. During the Congress regime, only 76 lakh farmers' produce was procured, whereas the BJP government is procuring the produce of 1 crore 22 lakh farmers. Rice was procured at 475 lakh metric tons during congress government, which has been doubled to reach 830 lakh metric tons under the BJP government.

Shri Amit Shah highlighted that the BJP has undertaken the task of extending the prosperous road, which previously ended at Nagpur, all the way to Gondia. BJP has also worked on constructing concrete roads in Bhandara and Gondia. Within this region, one lakh houses have been built. Additionally, up to 7 lakh Ayushman Bharat cards have been issued. A new hospital with a capacity of 100 beds has been established. Under the Ujjwala Yojana, gas connections have been provided to 2 lakh households, and Shri Narendra Modi has undertaken the task of providing piped water to homes for 2 lakh 40 thousand people.

Shri Amit Shah criticized Sharad Pawar, who was part of the Sonia-Manmohan government, questioning what developmental work they had undertaken in Maharashtra over the past ten years. He compared the Congress's expenditure of one lakh 91 thousand crore rupees in ten years to Shri Narendra Modi's allocation of seven lakh 15 thousand crore rupees. Additionally two lakh 90 thousand crore rupees were allocated for roads, railways, airports and the bullet train. Shri Shah highlighted that Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar had accused the BJP of breaking their parties, but he clarified that the BJP had not broken either the Shiv Sena (UBT) or the NCP (SCP). The Shiv Sena was ultimately fractured by Uddhav's favoritism towards his son, while the NCP was similarly divided by Pawar's preference for his daughter. Shri Shah highlighted the incapacity of the three partially aligned parties (Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress) to effectively govern Maharashtra. Shri Shah emphasized that the development of Maharashtra can be achieved by BJP, Shiv Sena (Shri Eknath Shinde) and NCP (Shri Ajit Pawar) under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi.

Shri Shah emphasized that the 2024 Lok Sabha election is crucial for the nation, noting that PM Shri Narendra Modi has elevated India's stature globally. He highlighted that in the G20 meeting, world leaders paid homage at Mahatma Gandhi's memorial, and Shri Narendra Modi initiated the Delhi Declaration, hoisting India's flag of policy victory worldwide. Shri Shah underscored that in the past ten years, Shri Narendra Modi has worked to fill the pits dug by the Congress, and in the next five years, the task will be to build the edifice of a great India. He noted that Shri Narendra Modi has taken a pledge before the nation to build a Mahan Bharat by 2047. Shri Shah announced that according to our "Sankalp Patra," after Shri Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister in 2024, the BJP government will implement the Uniform Civil Code across the entire country. Elections for both the Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha will be held simultaneously nationwide. The Modi government will cover the medical expenses of every senior citizen aged 70 and above, regardless of their income. For the benefit of the poor, three crore new houses will be built, with priority given to those living in slums. A program will be initiated to provide gas to every household through pipelines, and under the "PM Surya Ghar" scheme, the electricity bill for every poor household will be reduced to zero. Shri Shah stated that under the Lakhpati Didi Yojna, approximately one crore women have benefited, and after becoming the third-time Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will make up to three crore women.

Shri Shah emphasized that under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, strict laws will be enacted to tackle paper leaks, and a transparent recruitment system will be established. Opportunities will be provided to millions of youth in sectors such as infrastructure, investment, manufacturing, high-value services, startups, tourism and sports, with India hosting the Olympics in 2036. While criticizing INC leader Rahul Gandhi, Shri Shah remarked that the INC is a family-oriented party that seeks to make its sons and daughters as Prime Ministers or Chief Ministers. In contrast, Shri Narendra Modi, born in a humble household, has served the nation without taking a single day off in 23 years. Shri Shah contrasted the Congress party, known for its scams worth ₹12 lakh crore, with Shri Narendra Modi, who, after serving as CM and PM for 23 years, has remained untainted by any corruption allegations. Furthermore, Shri Shah criticized the "Ghamandia gathbandhan" for compromising national security for vote banks and Shri Narendra Modi’s government ensures the welfare of Sena Jawans by implementing 'One Rank One Pension' and is committed to eradicating terrorism.

Union Minister Shri Amit Shah emphasized that the votes given to the BJP will ensure the security of India and elevate its economy to become the world's third-largest. Shri Shah appealed to the voters of Gondia to support the 'Lotus' symbol and elect Mr. Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the third time.
