Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Paloura, Jammu on Tuesday. Jammu & Kashmir BJP President Shri Ravinder Raina, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Gulam Ali Khatana, BJP Candidate Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma among other leaders were present. Shri Amit Shah commenced his address by seeking the blessings of Mata Vaishno, Tirupati Balaji Mandir, Maa Baawewali and Raghunath Mandir. Shri Amit Shah emphasized that upon setting foot in Jammu, BJP karyakartas are filled with reverence, recalling the sacrifices made by the party's first president, Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee. Shri Shah highlighted that Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee's assertion, “Ek desh mein do vidhan, do pradhaan aur do nishan  nahi chalenge" echoes with pride today, as Article 370 has been revoked. Just like the rest of the nation, Jammu and Kashmir proudly display the Indian tricolor, symbolizing unity and dignity. The sacrifices of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and the endorsement of the movement by Prem Nath Dogra are evident and revered.

Shri Shah highlighted the multitude of benefits that the entire nation has reaped under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Shah emphasized that while the nation as a whole has seen significant progress with initiatives like providing homes to the poor, 'Nal se Jal' scheme, access to sanitation facilities, distribution of free food grains, healthcare coverage up to ₹5 lakh, and enhanced national pride, it's the people of Jammu and Kashmir who have particularly benefited. Shri Amit Shah stated that under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, Jammu & Kashmir witnessed a transformation, from past challenges of unrest, violence, and the impact of Article 370 to a scenario where youth now hold laptops instead of stones and bullets. This signifies a significant shift towards development and peace.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister emphasized in Parliament that injustice had been done to the people of Jammu & Kashmir. Shri Shah highlighted that the Valmiki community, mothers, sisters, OBCs, as well as Pahadis, Bakarwals, and Gujjars, were deprived of reservation benefits. Shri Shah noted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi worked for justice for all. Despite opposition from parties like NC, PDP, and criticism from Gujjars, who were told their reservations would be cut to provide for Pahadis, Shri Amit Shah assured that justice would be served to the Pahadi community without compromising on the Gujjars' rights. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the BJP government worked towards providing reservation benefits to Gujjars, Pahadis, Bakarwals, OBCs, Dalits, and women. Shri Shah emphasized the responsibility of preserving the honor of the Dogra community, stating that it's the duty of the people. Shri Shah highlighted the long-standing demand of the armed forces for One Rank One Pension, which was fulfilled by the Modi government, whereas it was not addressed by previous governments.

Shri Shah underscored the significant developments in Jammu, including the establishment of four new medical colleges, 14 nursing colleges, and seven B.Sc paramedical colleges. Shri Shah also mentioned the arrival of prestigious institutions like IIT’s and IIM’s in Jammu, and the upcoming AIIMS in Vijaypur, along with plans for a cancer hospital in Bakshi Nagar. Additionally, he noted the opening of 25 new degree colleges and two engineering colleges. Shri Shah highlighted the reversal in the trend of students leaving Jammu & Kashmir for education, now witnessing students from across the country coming to study in Jammu, attributing this transformation to the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister further mentioned the forthcoming establishment of 18 industrial estates in Jammu, attracting investments worth thousands of crores. Shri Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiatives like bringing 104 smart city schemes to Jammu. The deployment of the first E-Bus in the country by the central government in Jammu was noted, along with the dispatch of 75 E-Buses, to Delhi, Amritsar, and Katra. Shri Shah highlighted progress in infrastructure projects like the Chamoti Drabshalla tunnel and the 90% completion of the semi-ring road, which is expected to facilitate the production of thousands of megawatts of hydroelectricity with an investment of ₹30,000 crore in Jammu & Kashmir.

Shri Shah emphasized the ongoing construction of a four-lane road from Jammu to Poonch, which has alleviated hours of traffic congestion with the construction of flyovers. Shri Amit Shah highlighted the creation of an artificial lake on the Ravi River to boost tourism and the ambitious project of constructing the world's largest 11 km tunnel in Jammu, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister also mentioned the government's efforts in developing airports and transforming Suchetgarh border into a site akin to Wagah, where people from across the country will come to pay their respects. Shri Shah mentioned the imminent introduction of trains between Jammu & Kashmir, including the longest train route from Jammu to Kanyakumari, fulfilling the long-standing aspiration of connecting Kashmir to Kanyakumari by rail. Shri Shah stated that numerous irrigation schemes have been implemented by the government and there has been an increase of more than four times in the budget allocation for irrigation. Shri Shah emphasized that the Modi-led government has provided transparent employment opportunities and removed those involved in terrorism from government positions.

Shri Shah highlighted that PM Shri Narendra Modi has brought Ayushman Bharat Yojana, providing complete healthcare coverage of up to ₹5 lakh for around 60 crore impoverished people across the country. Shri Shah emphasized that the Modi government is currently covering the bill, with over 6 crore individuals undergoing surgeries, and the government spending over ₹1 lakh crore on this initiative. However, this scheme is not just for the poor throughout the country, it extends to everyone in Jammu and Kashmir. Shri Narendra Modi has increased spending on healthcare, provided more resources, and ensured that the entire budget, which was previously being consumed by the NC and PDP, is now being effectively utilized under the guidance of the Lieutenant Governor thereby eradicating corruption. Shri Shah emphasized that the Modi government has provided transparent employment opportunities and removed those involved in terrorism from government positions. Now, no one dares to chant slogans of Pakistan, only chants of "Bharat Mata ki Jai" are resounding. Shri Shah stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has brought about change in Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti used to say that if Article 370 is removed, there would be no one left to hold the tricolor, but she should understand that this flag is eternal. Even with Article 370 gone, the tricolor flies with pride, and no one dared to touch it.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister emphasized that Farooq Abdullah had previously claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi couldn't become Prime Minister ten times without removing Article 370. However, Prime Minister Modi abolished Article 370 in his two years of tenure despite these assertions. Shri Shah stated that the removal of Article 370 granted rights to women, ensured inheritance rights for daughters and daughters-in-law, provided reservations for SCs, STs, and OBCs, and facilitated the development of vibrant villages. Shri Shah further mentioned that the villages bordering the Jammu and Udhampur constituencies, if Prime Minister Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister for the third time, have a program to make every village bordering the border like Jammu.

Shri Shah stated that PDP, CONGRESS, and NC had hindered democracy, being the "three family alliances” who monopolized representation and prevented panchayat elections. Shri Narendra Modi initiated the task of empowering 4 lakhs panchayat members. Shri Shah highlighted that people from the mountains, including Gurjars, Bakarwals, and hill dwellers thanked Shri Shah in Delhi to express gratitude by offering letters. They seek to meet him after years of neglect, as BJP has taken the unprecedented step of restoring their rights. Shri Shah further mentioned that the Sufi tradition is flourishing throughout Jammu and Kashmir, with the Ksheer Bhawani Mela in full swing. Devotees are also coming for darshan at Mata Vaishno Devi, and the Amarnath Yatra is witnessing a significant turnout, indicating the happiness and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. Shri Shah remarked that both of these parties had disrespected the Dogra and Dogri community by never honoring Maharaja Hari Singh. BJP declared a holiday on his birth anniversary and showed respect. During the time of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh, there has been a prolonged struggle for the Dogri language. Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee included Dogri in the Eighth Schedule, and Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi declared Dogri as an official language, thereby honoring the Dogra community. The BJP has brought about many changes in Jammu and Kashmir. Examples of these changes include the abolition of the Lakhanpur toll tax, providing 33% reservation for women, and fulfilling the long-standing demand for reservation for the Pahadi community. Additionally, the people here have been granted rights to education, forest rights, and protection under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act, the Whistleblowers Protection Act, and the Minority Commission.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister stated that regarding the exploitation of youth in the name of protecting the valley, Shri Shah pointed out that the highest number of fake encounters occurred during Farooq Abdullah and PDP's tenure, where bullets were fired at Kashmiri children and guns were placed in their hands. These deeds were perpetrated by these three parties: Congress, PDP, and NC. Shri Narendra Modi stopped these encounters and worked towards eradicating terrorism and engaging the youth in productive activities.

Shri Shah emphasized that Shri Narendra Modi has brought global recognition to Kashmiri products like Pashmina, apples, and handicrafts through initiatives like Geo tagging, thereby providing employment to youth and women. By successfully implementing the Home Stay Policy, the Shri Narendra Modi-led BJP government has provided every individual with the means to earn from their homes. Under "Lakhpati Didi Yojana," up to two lakh women in Jammu and Kashmir have been benefited. Addressing the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Shah stated that Shri Modi has established peace and paved the way for development in the region. For seventy years, Jammu and Kashmir lagged behind, plagued by protests and terrorism, hindering progress. Shri Modi ended strikes, quelled violence, eradicated terrorism, and initiated the journey towards development.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister addressed the youth of the valley, stating that the opposition propagates that BJP wants to seize control of the valley. He clarified that BJP is not interested in taking over but in winning hearts. Shri Shah mentioned that in the public gathering, even though the Pahadi Gurjar community may not be from their region, they are supporters of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi, which is why they attended. Addressing the voters of the valley, Shri Shah emphasized that BJP is in no hurry; when they receive love from the valley, the lotus will bloom there as well. Shri Shah appealed to the voters of the valley, urging them to vote for anyone but not for these three family-centric parties. Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, and Sonia Gandhi only work for their families and not for the people.

Shri Shah emphasized that while the opposition accuses the BJP of capturing the valleys, it's actually about winning the hearts of the people. Shri Shah mentioned that in the program, members of the Pahari Gurjar community traveled from distant areas to attend the BJP meeting, showcasing their support for PM Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Amit Shah urged the public to refrain from voting for dynastic parties focused solely on their families. He appealed for a resounding victory for the BJP, ensuring Jammu and Kashmir's development trajectory continues for the third consecutive term for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
