Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Bettiah, Bihar on Sunday. Shri Shah criticized Congress and RJD for their evil intention to exploit reservations and redistribute them to a special community, while also highlighting the progressive initiatives undertaken under the strong leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. During the event, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Satish Chandra Dubey, Senior leader Smt Renu Devi, West Champaran candidate Shri Sanjay Jaiswal, Valmiki Nagar candidate Shri Sunil Kumar and other leaders were present on the stage.
Union Home Minister paid tribute to the revolutionary land of Champaran, stating that it is the very place where every freedom struggle was ignited. Mahatma Gandhi gave the nation's freedom movement a new direction from this land. Shri Amit Shah said that four phases of the elections have been completed, and Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has already crossed the mark of 270 seats. Lalu Yadav’s RJD isn't even getting four seats, Rahul Gandhi’s Congress isn't even getting 40 seats, and the INDI alliance will be swept away.
Shri Shah remarked that the INDI alliance runs a business of lies, aiming to mislead the public to win in politics. They claim that if Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji gets 400 seats, he will remove reservations, there can't be a bigger lie than this. Despite having a majority for the past 10 years, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji hasn't even considered revoking reservations. As long as the BJP holds even a single MP in Parliament, no one will dare to tamper with the reservations for SC, ST and OBC communities. This is 'Modi ki Guarantee.' In fact, it is Congress that has undermined OBC reservations. Congress granted 5% and 4% reservations to a special community in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, which goes against the constitution by providing reservations based on religion.
Union Home Minister stated that Lalu Yadav is in alliance with the Congress, which gave reservations to a special class by taking them away from the backward and extremely backward classes. Lalu Yadav says that every person from the special community should be given 100% reservation, but he should clarify whose reservations will be cut and redistributed—whether it will be those of Dalits, Tribals, or OBCs. Lalu Yadav is in alliance solely for the sake of vote bank politics and to make his son the Chief Minister. Congress blocked the implementation of the Kaka Kalelkar Commission. Later, the Mandal Commission was established, but neither Indira Gandhi nor Rajiv Gandhi supported its implementation; in fact, Rajiv Gandhi opposed it in Parliament. Congress has consistently engaged in anti-backward politics. In contrast, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji has provided constitutional recognition to the backward and extremely backward classes.
Shri Shah highlighted that opposition parties ruled for many years but never worked for the welfare of the people. In contrast, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has provided access to tap water to 14 crore poor households, gas connections to over 10 crore households, constructed 12 crore toilets, and ensured 5 kg of free ration to 80 crore people every month. In Bihar, he provided health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh for each poor person, and 4 crore poor people received houses. Upon becoming Prime Minister for the third term, 3 crore more houses will be provided.
Union Home Minister stated that Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyyar and NC leader Farooq Abdullah fear demanding PoK due to Pakistan's threat of an atomic bomb. However, BJP Karyakartas do not fear atomic bombs. This is 'Modi Ki Guarantee' that PoK is and will remain a part of India, and India will reclaim it. AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge remarked, "What do the people of Rajasthan and Bihar have to do with Kashmir?" He should realize that every child in Bettiah is willing to sacrifice their life for Kashmir. For 70 years, they shielded Article 370. However, when Shri Narendra Modi Ji became Prime Minister for the second time, he abrogated Article 370 on August 5th, 2019, integrating Kashmir with India forever and eradicating terrorism from the nation. During the Sonia-Manmohan led UPA government, terrorism was a daily occurrence in India, and they never spoke out because of their vote bank politics. However, when Bihar made Shri Narendra Modi Ji the Prime Minister by giving him 39 out of 40 seats, he led the nation in carrying out surgical strikes in Uri and Pulwama, as well as air strikes by entering Pakistan’s territory. Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji has eradicated Naxalism from Bihar and Jharkhand.
Shri Shah states that BJP has demonstrated how strong leadership and governance can drive progress in the nation. Previously, activities like stone pelting, slogans of freedom, and strikes were common in Kashmir, but now such activities are observed in PoK. Today, millions of tourists are visiting Kashmir, while in Pakistan, the prices of flour are skyrocketing.
Union Home Minister pointed out that Pakistan doesn't even have enough food to eat, whereas India has implemented a system to provide 5 kg of grain for free to the poor households. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji ensured the vaccination of people across the country to protect them from COVID-19. During the pandemic, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav misled the public regarding vaccines. The leaders of the INDI alliance indulged in politics even during a crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic. If the INDI alliance wins, they have no candidate for the Prime Minister's post. The leaders of the INDI alliance have made plans to take turns becoming Prime Minister, but the country cannot function like that. However, no one else can represent the country besides Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. While Lalu Prasad Yadav used to say, "Tel Pilayan,Lathiya Ghumavan," the Hon'ble Prime Minister says that he wants to make the country the world's third-largest economic power.
Shri Shah highlighted that the UPA government provided Bihar with ₹2,80,000 crores from 2004 to 2014. However, the Modi government provided Bihar with ₹14,80,000 crores from 2014 to 2024. The Modi government has constructed several bridges over the Ganga River in Bihar, developed railway stations in the state, connected villages to towns, and provided electricity and water to rural areas. Bihar cannot progress with the support of 'Lalten'. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has the ability to advance both the Nation and Bihar by sending Chandrayaan and Adityayaan. Despite Lalu Prasad Yadav's 25-year tenure in Bihar and at the center, he failed to acknowledge Karpoori Thakur. However, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has honored Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur with the Bharat Ratna.
Union Home Minister pointed out that the NDA government has constructed a 173-kilometer road from Bettiah to Patna, developed the Siliguri-Gorakhpur Expressway, and built a 552-kilometer road on the India-Nepal border. Under the Modi government, Bettiah's railway station is being developed, Bhoomi Poojan has been done for the Bettiah-Patna highway and the Bettiah-Narkatiya highway has been completed. Additionally, a medical college and polytechnic institute are under construction in Bettiah. In West Champaran, Pucca houses have been provided to 1 lakh 75 thousand people, free medical treatment of up to ₹5 lakhs for 2 lakh 21 thousand people, 5 lakh 44 thousand gas connections, free grains for 7 lakh 64 thousand people, and Nal se Jal to 5 lakh 18 thousand people. Congress and RJD cannot do anything else besides instigating fights in every community. During the Congress government's tenure, the MSP for Makka was ₹1,310, while the Modi government increased it to ₹2,090. The Modi government has benefited sugarcane farmers by setting up ethanol plants and by blending 20% ethanol in petrol by 2025, additional benefits will also be provided to farmers.
Shri Shah pointed out that both Congress and RJD kept the Ram Mandir issue unresolved, prolonged and deflected for many years. Following Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s second term, the case was successfully resolved within five years, with the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony conducted, and the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22nd. Although Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Yadav were invited to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, they declined the invitation for their vote bank. The vote bank of the INDI alliance consists of infiltrators who have entered the country illegally. Shri Amit Shah encouraged voters to support local BJP candidates to secure decisive victories and contribute to forming the Modi government for the third time.
