Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP leader Shri Amit Shah addressed public meetings in Kanthi and Ghatal in West Bengal on Wednesday. He slammed TMC and Congress for their appeasement in West Bengal while highlighting BJP’s developmental work. During the event, West Bengal LoP Shri Suvendu Adhikari, BJP State Vice President Shri Sanjay Singh, Kanthi Lok Sabha candidate Shri Sumendu Adhikari and Ghatal Lok Sabha constituency candidate Shri Hiranmay Chatterjee, Purulia Lok Sabha candidate Shri Jyotirmay Singh Mahato among other leaders were present.
Shri Shah began his address by seeking blessings from Chandi Mandir, Maa Jhingleswari Mandir, Bargabhima Temple, and Mukhti Dham Mandir. He also paid tribute to freedom fighters Matangini Hazra, Khudiram Bose, and Birendranath Sasmal. He highlighted the fertility of the Medinipur region, where paddy farmers produce rice that historically fulfilled the needs of all Bengal.
Union Home Minister stated that after the five phases of elections, the enthusiasm of the public throughout the nation made it clear that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is expected to secure over 310 seats, and the INDI Alliance will be wiped out. He emphasized that people in West Bengal should remember that the BJP is poised to secure 30 seats in the state under Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s leadership. Shri Shah asserted that once the BJP achieves this, the TMC will disintegrate, leading to the dismissal of Mamata Didi's government.
Shri Shah stated that Congress and TMC had been obstructing the construction of the Ram Mandir for 70 years. After Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi ji became the Prime Minister for the second time, the case was resolved within just 5 years. He performed the Bhoomi Pujan and will also oversee the Pran Pratishtha on January 22. Mamta Didi was also invited to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony but did not go to Ayodhya for it. She avoided attending because she was afraid of losing her vote bank.
Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation mentioned that infiltrators constitute Mamata Didi's vote bank. The BJP has implemented CAA and provided citizenship to the refugees living in India. Mamata Didi stands against the implementation of the CAA because she is scared of losing her vote bank. During the UPA regime, Pakistani infiltrators used to attack us and then abscond. However, under Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji's government, we have retaliated to terrorist attacks with operations like the Uri surgical strike and airstrikes. Mamata Banerjee and Congress leaders used to scare people by saying that Pakistan has an atom bomb, but Pakistan should know that PoK was and always will be a part of India.
Shri Shah stated that Mamata Banerjee is badly scared of defeat. Yesterday, as soon as I reached here, I came to know that the police had raided Shri Suvendu Adhikari’s house. Earlier there were raids on TMC leaders and ₹51 crore in cash was seized, but not a single penny was seized at Shri Suvendu Adhikari’s house. Mamata Didi, we are from the BJP, and we are not afraid of your police. Mamata Didi should understand that the more she oppresses him, the bigger a leader the BJP will make Shri Suvendu Adhikari.
Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation stated that this election is between two camps: on one side, there is the BJP and NDA under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and on the other side, there is the INDI Alliance, which includes the Left, Trinamool Congress and Congress. On one side is Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who has served the country as Chief Minister and Prime Minister for 23 years without being accused of even 25 paise of corruption. On the other side is the INDI Alliance of Trinamool and Congress, which has committed scams worth ₹12 lakh crore. On one side, there is Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who runs the government considering the 140-crore people of the country as his family. On the other side, there is this dynastic alliance.
Shri Shah stated that Sharad Pawar wants to make his daughter, Uddhav Thackeray his son, Mamata wants her nephew to be the Chief Minister, and Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister. They want to make their sons and daughters CM or PM, but these people do not think about people of India. Only Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji thinks about doing good for the poor. On one side, there is Mamata Banerjee, who is allowing infiltration from the borders of Bengal to create her own vote bank, and on the other side, there is Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who is ensuring the security of the country by protecting the borders of Kashmir. The answer to bomb blasts has to be given through the ballot, and the answer to lathi charges has to be given through democracy.

However, he assured the public that this time they should not be afraid because during the 5 phases of elections, Mamata's goons could not harm anyone. The central government has requested the Election Commission of India to deploy personnel from paramilitary forces for post-poll security. Mamata Banerjee entered into politics with a slogan of ‘Maa, Maati aur Maanush’, but the slogan has now changed to ‘Mulla, Madrasa aur Mafia’.
Shri Shah stated that Bengal has become a heaven for infiltrators, and the issue of infiltration is a grave concern not just for Bengal but for the entire country. Demographic changes are constantly occurring in Bengal. Mamata Didi is jeopardizing the security of the nation by prioritizing her vote bank politics. Only the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji can abolish cut money, the syndicate system, and corruption in the state. The BJP promises to put an end to cow smuggling, coal smuggling and the infiltration of infiltrators in Bengal once the BJP wins more than 30 seats in the state. Mamata Banerjee has distributed Aadhar cards and Ration cards to infiltrators, but the BJP will stop it. The factories and industries have been closed by the TMC government but after the BJP forms a government, it will make Bengal ‘Shonar Bangla.’

Mamata Banerjee should be ashamed that the High Court had to intervene to arrest those who tortured women. After the elections, the BJP will ensure that the traitors of Sandeshkhali are punished.
Shri Shah mentioned that Mamata Banerjee has thwarted many of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's plans. Under the PM Awas Yojana, 87 lakh houses were built in Bihar, whereas only 38 lakh houses could be built in Bengal. Similarly, the Jal Jeevan Mission provided water to 96% of households in Bihar, while only 39% of households in Bengal received water. Ayushman Bharat Yojana was also halted by Mamata Banerjee. Recently, she has targeted saints, Bharat Sevashram Sangha and Ramakrishna Mission for involving in politics to secure her defeat. However, she should acknowledge that it was due to Bharat Sevashram Sangha that West Bengal remained a part of India and not Bangladesh. In Kanthi, Shri Sumendhu Adhikar has spearheaded numerous developmental initiatives. These include the construction of a bridge over the Niagara River, the building of a road to Haldia port, the creation of a four-lane overbridge in Ranichak, the allocation of ₹410 crore for the expansion of the Raniganj bypass, the establishment of a Dharma Bus stop, the establishment of a medical college, the construction of 22,000 houses, and the construction of the Bharat Petroleum terminal in Tamluk. Additionally, 18 lakh people received free rice, 7 lakh 50 thousand women received LPG cylinders and 2 lakh households have been connected to water connections under the ‘Nal se Jal’ scheme. Shri Shah stated that the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata 6-lane expressway is scheduled to be completed by 2027. Additionally, the Raniganj Bypass was constructed at a cost of ₹410 crore. The inauguration of the Raniganj to Dalkhola road has taken place, and five bridges have been constructed between Jhargram and Kalaikunda.
During Purulia Lok Sabha Rally, Shri shah said that Mamata Banerjee had ordered to pay salaries to the Imams of mosques from the money of the poor, but the High Court stopped it. Chit fund scam, rice distribution scam, teacher recruitment scam, cow smuggling scam, coal smuggling scam, municipality recruitment scam, scam of ₹776 crore in Singur cases, 'cash For Query' scam, all this has been done by Mamata Banerjee and her syndicate. These crores of rupees have been taken away by Mamta Didi and her syndicate, after the formation of BJP government, this entire syndicate is going to go to jail. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has sent ₹9 lakh 25 thousand crore to the Bengal government in 10 years, but not even a single rupee has reached the people. Congress party and the INDI Alliance want to snatch the reservation of backward, Dalit, and tribal people by giving reservation to Muslims, but as long as Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is there, no one can snatch the reservation of backward, Dalit, and tribal people.
Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation said that under the Modi government, Purulia has undertaken several development initiatives, including the construction of a 10 km 4-lane Purulia Bypass. Additionally, new Purulia and Kotshila railway stations are being constructed at a cost of ₹80 crore. A medical college has been built, and efforts have been made to develop a park in the Bharat Sevashram Sangh of the city. Purulia Junction is also undergoing renovation. Furthermore, the government has provided 10 thousand pucca houses, 4 lakh 50 thousand gas connections, and wages to 5 lakh 50 thousand farmers under MNREGA. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji indeed played a crucial role in India's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic by overseeing the vaccination drive and ensuring that vaccines were made available to the public
Shri Shah stated that Satyajit Ray had made a film titled "Heerak Rajar Deshe." If he were alive today, he would have made a film named "Heerak Rani" instead. The INDI Alliance has no clear candidate for Prime Minister. Leaders like Mamata Banerjee and Sharad Pawar cannot run the country effectively. The INDI Alliance has proposed the unrealistic idea of five Prime Ministers in five years, which is unsuitable for a strong nation like India. India needs a decisive Prime Minister who can respond strongly to Pakistan, and that leader is the respected Shri Narendra Modi. ‘INDI Alliance Ke Pass Na Neta Hai, Na Neeti Hai’. If Bengal is to be taken forward, it cannot be done by Mamata's TMC, which rules through goons; only the BJP can advance Bengal under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
