Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah addressed massive public rallies in Ghatkopar and Borivali, Maharashtra Tuesday and launched scathing attacks on the Maha Vikas Aghadi for opposing every development initiative. He asserted that the development of Mumbai and Maharashtra is only possible under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the Mahayuti government. During the event, Mumbai BJP President Shri Ashish Shelar, former MP Shri Manoj Kotak, Shri Kirit Somaiya, Assembly candidate Shri Parag Shah, Shri Ram Kadam, Shri Mihir Kotecha, Shri Suresh Patil, Shri Ashok Patel among other leaders were present.

Shri Shah paid homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Savarkar and stated that it was from the land of Maharashtra that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj showed the entire nation the path of Swaraj and Swadharm. He claimed that Mahayuti government is set to be formed in Maharashtra, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi government will soon be out.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister mentioned that recently the Bharatiya Janata Party's ‘Sankalp Patra’ was presented to the people of Maharashtra and on the same day, Mallikarjun Kharge also released the Maha Aghadi's manifesto. Before presenting it, Kharge had advised the Maharashtra Congress to make only those promises that can be fulfilled. Even the National President of Congress does not trust the promises made by his own party. In contrast, there is Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, whose promises are firm. It is ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ that the commitments made by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji will be fulfilled.

Shri Shah stated that the BJP has a proven track record of delivering on its promises. No one thought it was possible to revoke Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, but it was a promise made by the Bharatiya Janata Party. When the people elected Shri Narendra Modi Ji as Prime Minister, he wasted no time in abolishing Article 370 and making Jammu and Kashmir an inseparable part of India.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister highlighted that when the bill to revoke Article 370 was introduced in the Parliament, Congres leader Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar's party, Mamata Banerjee's party, Akhilesh Yadav, and Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena all opposed it, warning that if Article 370 were abolished, rivers of blood would flow in the country. Six years have passed since Article 370 was revoked, and no one has even dared to raise a stone. Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji has protected the country from terrorism and naxalism. Recently, the Congress party passed a resolution to reinstate Article 370. Uddhav Thackeray should clarify to the people of Maharashtra what his party's position is on Article 370. Since Uddhav Thackeray is now aligned with Congress in his pursuit of power, nothing can be expected from him. Rahul Gandhi's four generations will also not be able to restore Article 370. For the Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu and Kashmir is a matter far more significant than just gaining power. It is Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji who took decisive action to eliminate terrorism in Kashmir.

Shri Shah stated that it was Bharatiya Janata Party's commitment to build Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. In 2019, Rahul Gandhi mocked and used to say "Mandir Wahin Banayenge Par Tithi Nahi Batayenge." However, the people of Maharashtra and the nation re-elected Shri Narendra Modi Ji as Prime Minister and within five years, the case was won, the grand Ram Mandir was built and ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram was performed by the Hon'ble Prime Minister. Shri Shah stated that Rahul Gandhi and Sharad Pawar, who have mocked the BJP, have not visited Ram Mandir till date. The Hon’ble Prime Minister not only ensured the construction of the Ram Mandir but also undertook the development of the Kashi Vishwanath corridor, which was destroyed by Aurangzeb. Additionally, work has begun to build the Somnath Mandir of gold. The Bharatiya Janata Party has taken steps to protect and honor the pillars of our culture.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister emphasized that when the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji was abolishing triple talaq, both Rahul Gandhi and the “Nakli” Shiv Sena opposed it. When millions of Hindus and Sikh from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan came to India and the Hon'ble Prime Minister introduced the CAA law to grant them citizenship, Sharad Pawar, Congress, and Uddhav Thackeray’s “Nakli” Shiv Sena also opposed it. Now, as Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi Ji introduces amendments to the Waqf Board law, they are once again opposing it. In Karnataka, the Waqf Board declared an entire village as Waqf property, including land belonging to farmers and temples. However, with this amendment, no one will be able to designate private property as Waqf property. Those who wish to oppose it can do so, but the central government under Shri Narendra Modi Ji is firmly committed to amending the Waqf law. This is free India and no one’s property or home can be declared Waqf property here.

Shri Shah stated that a group of ulemas in Maharashtra submitted a request to Congress, demanding 10% reservation for the Muslim community. As per the Indian Constitution, the 50% reservation limit has already been reached and providing this additional 10% reservation would mean reducing the reservation allocated for Dalits, tribals, and backward communities. The Constitution of India does not allow reservation based on religion. Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar and the Maha Aghadi can try as much as they want, but the Bharatiya Janata Party will not allow reservations for minorities in this country. ₹1,000 crore has been requested for the Waqf board’s development and a ₹15,000 stipend has been proposed for Maulanas. The Maha Aghadi has funds for these purposes but not for Maharashtra’s development.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister emphasized that if there had been no government of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji at the center and no government of Shri Eknath Shinde and Shri Devendra Fadnavis in Maharashtra, Mumbai would not have been a livable city. The central government of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Maharashtra's Mahayuti government have invested ₹18,600 crore to construct the 22-kilometer-long Atal Setu, making travel to and from Mumbai much easier. A high-speed train service between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will soon begin, which will benefit Mumbai. Additionally, a coastal road is being developed in Mumbai at a cost of ₹14,000 crore rupees, with 87% of the work already completed. If the people of Maharashtra bring back the Mahayuti government, the coastal road project will be completed within two years, providing greater convenience for the common people of Mumbai. The ₹60,000 crore "Samruddhi Mahamarg" is also under construction, passing through 10 districts of Maharashtra, with 98% of the work already completed. This will boost trade in Mumbai. By October 2025, Mumbai will have its own new airport, and the Mumbai Metro Rail project, Marine Drive Tunnel, and the redevelopment of Dharavi will bring new conveniences and ease to Mumbai and the entire state of Maharashtra.

Shri Shah stated that the Maha Vikas Aghadi has never supported development; instead, they have always opposed it. They opposed the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, the removal of triple talaq, the CAA, and even the Ram Mandir for Bhagwan Shri Ram. They obstructed and opposed development projects in Mumbai, attempting to halt progress at every turn. MVA cannot support development policies, yet they support raising Maulvis income to ₹15,000 and oppose women empowerment initiatives like the 'Ladli Behna Yojana.' While the NDA government is taking action to remove infiltrators, the INDI alliance opposed these efforts. They also objected to renaming Aurangabad to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Ahmednagar to Ahilyabai Nagar. The INDI alliance is a family-centric organization that misleads the public. Rahul Gandhi is waving copies of the Constitution and distributing them, but when journalists opened those copies, they found them to be blank, with not a single printed word—just empty pages. Those who deceive the public like this should not be given power. The development of Mumbai and Maharashtra is only possible under the Mahayuti government led by the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister stated that from 2004 to 2014, the UPA government allocated only ₹1,91,000 crore for Maharashtra’s development. In contrast, during the 10 years from 2014 to 2024, under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, a massive ₹10,15,890 crore has been allocated for Maharashtra’s progress. This stream of development can only continue under the leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Shri Eknath Shinde, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and Shri Ajit Pawar. Under the leadership of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Maha Vikas Aghadi cannot ensure the safety of the nation, nor can it eliminate terrorism or Naxalism. During the UPA’s tenure, terrorist activities became commonplace, with terrorists crossing into India, attacking, and easily retreating to Pakistan. However, under Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's government, within just 10 days, surgical strikes and airstrikes were conducted, avenging the Uri and Pulwama attacks by entering Pakistani territory. The INDI Alliance, driven by vote-bank politics, will make the nation insecure; with them, neither Maharashtra nor the country is safe.

Shri Shah stated that Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji has promised comprehensive development for Maharashtra. A decision has been made to build Asia’s largest port in Vadhavan with an investment of ₹70,000 crore, which will boost the development of Mumbai and the entire state. People of Maharashtra have to stay cautious of the false promises and misleading statements from the Aghadi. Under the leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, India’s economy has risen from 11th to 5th place globally, and by 2027, India is projected to become the world’s third-largest economy. To make the nation prosperous and secure, it is essential to support the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and establish a Mahayuti government in Maharashtra. Shri Shah appealed to the people of Maharashtra to place their trust in the BJP for the state’s development and the nation’s security, urging them to ensure the victory of Mahayuti candidates.
