Salient points of speech of Hon'ble Union Home Minister &  Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah while addressing a massive public rally on the completion of 9 years of Shri Narendra Modi Govt in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

 

●       The people of the country have once again decided to make Honourable Shri Narendra Modi ji Prime Minister for the third consecutive time in 2024. I have come here to humbly request the people of Andhra Pradesh to give the Bharatiya Janata Party more than 20 Lok Sabha seats and be the partner in the growth, development and progress of the country which is being steered by our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.

 

●       The Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh has done nothing for the state and its people, what it has done is corruption, scams and misgovernance. During the rule of Jagan Mohan Reddy Vizag has become the hotbed of anti social elements. Land scam, mining scam, fake medicine racket, all this is going on in the state under the patronage of the ruling party.

 

●       Under the Pradhanmantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, the Narendra Modi Government has been transferring over 10 crore farmers Rs 6,000 per month directly into their bank accounts. But the irony is that in Andhra Pradesh the Jagan Mohan Reddy government has given this scheme a new name called Raytu Bharosa Scheme and is calling it a scheme of his government. But the fact is that this money to farmers is being given by our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.

 

●       More than 80 crore poor and needy people across the country are getting benefits under the Pradhanmantri Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojna where 5 kg free rice or wheat and 1 kg pulses is being distributed free to them. Here again the Jagan Mohan Reddy government has put its own stickers on the ration packets being given by the Narendra Modi Government and is trying to fool people. This plot is not going to work as people of Andhra Pradesh know that all these social welfare schemes meant for poor and weaker sections are the gift of our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. 

 

●       Between 2009 and 2014 Andhra Pradesh's tax devolution and grant in aid from the Centre used to be just Rs 78,000 crores, whereas under the Narendra Modi Government this has increased to over Rs 2.30 lakh crores. Considering this, Andhra Pradesh got around Rs 5 lakh crores but all this money was swindled by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. The money went for development of Andhra Pradesh and for welfare of the people of the state was siphoned off in corruption and nepotism.

 

●       While the entire country is celebrating the Amritkal of our Independence, our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji dedicated the new Parliament House. He also put up the Sangol which is the symbol of our rich cultural heritage and our history.

 

●       Earlier Andhra Pradesh had 4000 kms long national highways, but under the Narendra Modi Government in the past nine years it has increased to 9,000 kms. Over Rs 3 lakh crores was spent on this infrastructure development project. Andhra Pradesh got several important infrastructure projects which include two Vande Bharata trains -- Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad to Tirupati.

 

●       The Narendra Modi Government has redeveloped and upgraded the Visakhapatnam railway station with an expenditure of over Rs 450 crores. Similarly the Kurnool airport has become operational. Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, Amravati and Tirupati are being developed as Smart Cities. Two multipurpose logistics parks are being developed at Visakhapatnam and Anantapur. A bulk drug factory is being set up in Kakinada. All these massive infrastructure projects are being developed in Andhra Pradesh due to the efforts and planning of our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.

 

●       The Narendra Modi Government has also given Andhra Pradesh IIT in Tirupati, IIM in Visakhapatnam, AIIMS in Mangalagiri, NIT in Tadepalligudem, IIIT in Steel City, IISER in Tirupati, Central University in Anantapur, Tribal University in Vizianagaram, IIFT in Kakinada and three new medical colleges. This shows the commitment of our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji towards the people of Andhra Pradesh. 

 

●       Our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has also increased the MSP of paddy from Rs 1400 per quintal to Rs 2060. Jan Dhan accounts of crores of poor people have been opened, houses for the poor have been constructed and these houses have been given electricity connections, piped water supply, cooking gas cylinders, toilets. Poor have also been given free health insurance under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
