Today hundreds of Technocrats from IITs, Engineering colleges & IIMs gathered in BJP National Head office on call of BJP National President Shri Rajnath Singh to contribute to effort of party for National development and support the BJP in 2014 election.
All the technocrats were enthusiastic, recalling the golden era of overall growth of the country, during NDA regime, which saw the country achieve a higher potential of economy, infrastructure, science and technology, reflected in the bold and decisive steps in carrying out the nuclear tests, constructing equal to appx. 50% of the national highways of the then existing national high ways, approving the new airports and Delhi Metro, giving green signal to the Chandrayan mission to Mars, BJP brought IT & telecom revolution in India addressing on this occasion BJP President constituted a Technocrat’s Cell .
By this step Mr. Rajnath Singh - National President, BJP has added a new dimension to the reach of the party. He also appointed Mr. Subodh Sharma, an engineer from IIT Roorkee ( former five times president of IIT Roorkee Faculty Forum and member of All India IIT Faculty Federation) as National Convener – of this newly formed Technocrat Cell. Hence forth Mr Sharma will look after all matters in the technical domain.
This is aimed to give technocrats’ their due and involve them in nation building and carry forward the golden Indian growth story. The party strongly believes that giving capacity to create wealth to its populace and young citizens in particular, to which the party is committed, only can make them permanently prosperous and take the country forward and not distributing wealth from treasury without any wealth creation.
Engineers / Technocrats from various prestigious Universities were present during the inauguration ceremony. Engineers from Delhi, UP, Haryana, Rajasthan, M.P, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Orissa, Tamil Naidu were present in the inauguration. Following eminent persons have also joined BJP on this event.
