We have named our Vision Document as 'Empower Meghalaya' and we have emphasized ‘M’ in bold letters that depict ‘Modi for Meghalaya’. Corruption is a main hindrance in the development of Meghalaya. We want to make Meghalaya a corruption-free state.

We need a strong Meghalaya and it is possible through only a strong BJP. To achieve this, we have to think big. Speed, Scale and Skill - are three aspects that have to be managed well. We aspire for a ‘Mega Meghalaya’.

We will implement the 7th Pay Commission in Meghalaya for all government employees and the salaries of the employees will be dispersed in time. We will constitute a Task Force to check illegal mining in the state.

We will collaborate with the Central Government to solve the Meghalaya-Assam border issue. We will establish a Special Task Force under a retired Supreme Court Judge to investigate all cases of corruption.

We will increase the annual financial assistance under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme to ₹8,000 per annum. We will provide financial assistance of ₹3,000 per annum to all landless farmers and ₹6,000 per annum to all fishermen.

We will introduce the Ka Phan Nonglait scheme providing a bond of ₹50,000 on the birth of a girl child. We will provide free-of-cost, quality education to all female students from KG to PG. We will provide free scooties to all meritorious college-going female students.

We will launch the Jugi Rani Jugi Silchi Support Scheme to provide financial assistance of ₹24,000 annually to all dependent widows and single mothers. We will provide 2 free LPG cylinders to PM Ujjwala Yojan beneficiaries. We will provide 33% reservation for women in all Government jobs, with a special focus on the police force.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda on Wednesday released the party's manifesto in Shillong for the upcoming Meghalaya Assembly election which is scheduled to be held on February 27, 2023. He said that the people of the state are ready to bring the BJP government in Meghalaya. BJP Meghalaya President Shri Ernest Mowry, party national secretary and BJP co-incharge of North-East region Shri Rituraj Sinha, BJP Meghalaya Vision Document Committee Chairman Shri Sanabor Shullai and Meghalaya BJP Election Management Committee Chairman Shri Alexander Laloo Hek along with senior leaders and office bearers were present in the event.
Shri Nadda said, Meghalaya is a beautiful state and it has a lot of potential. I find that there is a competition of development among the Northeastern states after Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi ji came into power but Meghalaya is marred by corruption. I am glad to be present here and present the manifesto for Meghalaya. Meghalaya is a State rich in culture and traditions. The Hon'ble BJP National President said that we have named our Vision Document as 'Empower Meghalaya' and we have emphasized ‘M’ in bold letters that depict ‘Modi for Meghalaya’. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has established peace, prosperity and development in all the states of the North-East including Meghalaya. But we think there is a lot of scope to be done for Meghalaya. There is competition among the Northeastern States for development, and Meghalaya also is trying to cope-up with it. Notably, here, corruption has been an issue that has been a hindrance in the development of the State. We want to make Meghalaya a corruption-free state. We need a strong Meghalaya and it is possible with only a strong BJP. To achieve this, we have to think big. Speed, Scale and Skill - are three aspects that have to be managed well. We have to visualize big for the State - we aspire for a ‘Mega Meghalaya’.
Key points of “Empower Meghalaya”, the vision document of the BJP for Meghalaya:
Good Governance: We will implement the 7th Pay Commission in Meghalaya for all government employees and the salaries of the employees will be dispersed in time. We will constitute a Task Force to check illegal mining in the state. Additionally, we will ensure the scientific mining of coal. We will collaborate with the Central Government to solve the Meghalaya-Assam border issue, and will establish permanent outposts to promote safety, security, and rule of law. We will establish a Special Task Force under a retired Supreme Court Judge to investigate all cases of corruption to take swift and decisive action against any delay, defect or denial of government services.
Culture & Tourism: We will expedite the establishment of a state-of-the-art Tribal Museum and Tribal War Memorials to showcase the rich tribal culture and heritage of the state. We will expand the tourism economy of Meghalaya by investing ₹1000 crores for the promotion of Meghalaya as a major national and international tourism destination.
Empower Farmer: We will increase the annual financial assistance under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme from the current ₹6,000 to ₹8,000 per annum. We will provide financial assistance of ₹3,000 per annum under the Chief Minister's Landless Farmer Scheme to all landless farmers. We will provide financial assistance of ₹6,000 per annum to all fishermen under the Fishermen Income Support Scheme.
Empower Women: We will introduce the Ka Phan Nonglait scheme providing a bond of ₹50,000 on the birth of a girl child. We will provide free-of-cost, quality education to all female students from KG to PG. We will provide free scooties to all meritorious college-going female students from financially weak households. We will launch the Jugi Rani Jugi Silchi Support Scheme to provide financial assistance of ₹24,000 annually to all dependent widows and single mothers. We will introduce Meghalaya Tourism Skill Mission to provide training and employment opportunities to 1 lakh local youth.
Inclusive Development: We will provide free rice, wheat and dal to all eligible PDS beneficiaries every month. We will double the pension for senior citizens to ₹1,000 per month and ensure there are no delays in their disbursements. We will establish Sanja Manda Sangma Canteens providing locally-made nutritious meals for only ₹5 per plate.
Health for All: We will double the per-family annual insurance cap from ₹5 lakhs to ₹10 lakhs under Ayushman Bharat. We will initiate the Meghalaya Health Infrastructure Mission with an investment of ₹2,500 crores for the development of medical colleges and other health infrastructure in the state.

Shri Nadda said that it is only the BJP which gives its report card. Neither the Congress party nor any other parties talk about it. We, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji believe in the report card culture. We always fulfill what we say in our Vision Document. No other party remembers the old report card and its promises. It is only the Bharatiya Janata Party which delivers whatever it says and promises.
