Hon’ble Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh addressed a public gathering held in Ferozepur, Punjab on Tuesday. He highlighted the BJP government's dedication to serving every section of society while also criticizing AAP and Congress for corruption. Shri Rajnath Singh stated that. Respected Shri Singh stated that Punjab is the land of Gurus, farmers, and heroes, a place where bravery, valour, courage, sacrifice, and patriotism converge. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the central government has been working tirelessly for the past ten years and has done a lot for Punjab. It was Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji who made the effort to construct the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. The Prakash Parv of the gurus is celebrated not only in India but also worldwide, wherever Hindu and Sikh brothers reside. In memory of the Sahibzadas, December 26 is celebrated as Veer Bal Diwas, both in India and globally.
Hon’ble Shri Singh mentioned that the BJP government lifted the ban on receiving foreign donations and abolished the tax on langar. Over the past ten years, under Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, India's stature on the global stage has risen significantly. Previously, when India spoke on international platforms, it was often ignored as a poor and weak country. However, today, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, when India speaks on international stages, the world listens attentively. This is the elevated status of India in the world today.
Respected Shri Singh highlighted that in terms of wealth, the world once considered India a country of the poor. Under Congress rule, India's economy was ranked 11th, but Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has performed a miracle, and India has now moved to the 5th position. Leading financial firms and economists assert that if the government continues under Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, India will be among the top three economies by 2027. This line aptly applies to Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, “There is no relative who was not cheated by Kejriwal.” Kejriwal betrayed his mentor Anna Hazare, then ousted the founder of Aam Aadmi Party, Sadyo, now he got a woman MP beaten up in his house and came to power by misleading the public. Shri Singh said that Congress and AAP try to mislead the public, but the AAP leaders in Delhi do not keep their promises. Hon’ble Shri Singh pointed out that they promised not to live in official residences if elected but now reside in “Sheeshmahal” luxurious bungalows. They claimed that liquor shops would be closed in Delhi and wherever AAP formed the government, but today, AAP has facilitated the sale of alcohol in every street of Delhi, and the same situation prevails in Punjab. AAP leaders never fulfilled their promises. In the Chief Minister's residence, an AAP leader physically assaulted their own party's woman MP, Swati Maliwal, by kicking and beating her, dragging her by the hair. While they talk about respecting women, the BJP has introduced the Naari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, ensuring 33% representation of women in Parliament and state assemblies, a reality that will soon come to pass.
Respected Shri Singh stated that where women are not respected, even divine blessings are absent. The Gurus of Punjab held women in high regard. In Punjab, under the AAP government, lawlessness, drug trade, and drug trafficking are rampant, and they are unable to control these issues. They think that whether or not they work for the people, as long as "Surya asst ho, Uske baad sab log mast ho" no one will pay attention to the government's actions. The day the BJP forms a government in Punjab, just as it is forming in Delhi, and when the state assembly elections are held in Punjab, the BJP government will eradicate lawlessness. The first condition for BJP governance is development, which requires a robust law and order situation. Hon’ble Shri Singh stated that the opposition alliance alleges that inflation increased after the Modi government came into power. But under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, measures have been taken to combat inflation, a feat that no country has achieved. The economies of different countries have suffered during the war, but India, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, has become the fastest-growing economy in the world. Today, 46% of digital transactions are made in India. India has the most cost-effective internet facility in the world. He also highlighted India's progress in education and science & technology, mentioning the setback of the Chandrayaan 2 mission a few years ago. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s visit to Bangalore to console and motivate the scientists resulted in their hard work, leading to the successful launch of Chandrayaan 3, making India the first country to achieve this milestone of landing on the South Pole of the moon.
Respected Shri Singh stated that India is the only country to conduct a missile from sky, water and land. He highlighted that former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi acknowledged that a considerable amount of funds allocated for public welfare was lost to corruption. However, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji introduced a better system and ensured every beneficiary received the funds allocated by the Centre without any corruption. From 1964 to 1966, it hiked to 10%, which created animosity in the public and led Indira Gandhi to impose an emergency. The sole cause of inflation, he asserted, is corruption. However, the Morarji Desai government took several measures to combat inflation, including free foodgrain trade between different states, resulting in a reduction of inflation to 7%. From 1947 to 2022, whenever there was a Congress government, the inflation rate increased, and whenever the Congress government lost power, inflation eventually decreased. Today, more than 25 crore people have been uplifted above the poverty line, according to NITI Aayog. India has become the fourth largest automobile manufacturer in the world, surpassing Germany. It became the third-largest producer, leaving Russia behind. India is now the second largest manufacturer of textiles, overtaking Vietnam, and the leading state in sugar production. India has also become the second-largest country in the world in terms of solar panel expansion. Before 2014, there were only two mobile manufacturing companies in India. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, this number has surged to 200 companies. Today, 98% of mobile phones are being manufactured in India.
Respected Shri Singh stated that unemployment rates in major countries are significantly higher compared to India. For instance, Iraq has an unemployment rate of 15.55%, South Africa 32.6%, Brazil 7.9%, Italy 7.6%, Iran 7.2%, France 7.2%, China 5.2%, and America 3.8%, while India’s rate stands at 3.2%. Despite this, some parties make false promises to gain public support.
Hon’ble Union Defence Minister Shri Singh assured that once Shri Gurmeet Singh Sodhi is elected to Parliament, he will address and resolve the issues faced by the people.
