Please accept my congratulations and greetings for your victory in the long-drawn struggle. In this mission for building a new Nepal, you will have a historical role to play.

Nepal is at crossroads. It has to take a fundamental shift from its past, and at the same time, maintain a sense of continuity. I hope that under your wise and experienced leadership, Nepal will be able to achieve lasting peace and stability for a prosperous future.

As always, we in India, shall stand by our Nepalese brothers and sisters, guided by our long shared history, culture and economic relations.
