National Vice-President of BJP, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that at the Mumbai Convention in Dec' 2005 the Party will discuss of organizing a nationwide protest against the failures of UPA Govt on all fronts and focusing the spurt in terrorist activities, naxalism and illegal immigration.

Shri Naqvi announced that the Party's National Convention meeting will take place on 28th to 30th, December 2005, in Mumbai. Party President will preside the Convention and the other representative will be, Members of National Council, Members of Executive Council, All members of Parliament (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha), Members of Legislative Assemblies and Legislative Councils, Office Bearers of the States and all Morcha Presidents, Convener & Co-Conveners of National Cells, Presidents and General Secretaries of the districts.

Shri Naqvi said that prior to the Convention, a meeting of the National Executive will be held on 26th & 27th December, 2005 at Mumbai presided by Party President Shri L.K. Advani. The executive will hold a detailed discussion on the present political and economic issues and organizational matters will take also be discussed at the meeting.

Shri Naqvi added that the Party will also discuss on the future strategies to corner and expose the failures of Congress led UPA Government at the Centre related to Corruption, Unemployment, Price-rise, Poverty and Education at the National Convention and National Executive along with internal security and illegal immigration.

Shri Naqvi said that on the even of the party "Silver Jubilee Year" various programmes have been organized and executed effectively so far both at the states and district levels i.e. on 11th May National Security Day, 23rd June National Integrity Day, 25th June Democracy Empowerment Day, 6th July Plantation Week, 22nd July Dadra Liberation Day, 26th July Kargil Victory Day, 2nd August Goa Liberation Movement Day, 25th September Ram Rath Yatra Anniversary Day, 13th October Good Governance Day, 18th October Total Revolution Day, 21st October Jansangh Formation Day. Maintaining the same chain of events a Woman rally on 3rd December at Jaipur & Guru Teg Bahadur Sacrifice Day on 24th November will be organized and celebrated.

Shri Naqvi said that during 25 years of political journey, the Party has enlarged its social base and has effectively organized various programmes for farmers, backward castes, scheduled castes & minorities based on their important events and issues.
