Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP Leader Shri Amit Shah held roadshows in Kasturba Nagar and Badarpur and addressed a public meeting in Kalkaji in New Delhi on Tuesday. Shri Shah criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government for corruption, scams and unfulfilled promises. He also demanded evidence for the baseless allegations made by Kejriwal against Haryana, calling him a liar. Furthermore, Shri Shah strongly attacked Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for questioning the Kumbh. During the event, BJP MP Sushri Bansuri Swaraj, Kasturba Nagar Assembly candidate Shri Neeraj Basoya, Badarpur Assembly candidate Shri Narayan Dutt Sharma, Kalkaji Assembly candidate Shri Ramesh Bidhuri among other prominent leaders were present.
Shri Shah commenced his address by seeking the blessings of Maa Kalkaji and stated that February 5th is a big opportunity for the people of Delhi, an opportunity to be free from Arvind Kejriwal's ‘AAP-da’. On 5th February, by pressing the BJP’s ‘Lotus’ symbol, people will be liberated from Kejriwal's ‘AAP-da’. After Shri Ramesh Bidhuri's victory, the Kalkaji Assembly in Delhi will become the number one constituency. Arvind Kejriwal's government is a government of lies, deception, and broken promises. Kejriwal's government is a government of corruption. Kejriwal has stated that the water of Yamuna in Delhi has been poisoned by the Haryana government, but the Delhi Jal Board has clearly stated that Kejriwal is lying.
Union Home Minister asked three questions to Arvind Kejriwal: If Kejriwal has the Delhi Jal Board's report indicating that poison has been mixed in the Yamuna, he should make the report public. The government will take responsibility for it. If poison has been mixed, what type of poison has been used, and what is its name? This information should be shared with the people of Delhi. AAP claimed that the water was stopped, which is why Delhi was saved. Why isn't Kejriwal presenting the order to stop the water to the public? The people of Delhi want to know. Kejriwal should answer these three questions to the public. By playing the innocent face, Kejriwal has falsely accused the Haryana government of poisoning the water, attempting to scare the people of Delhi. There cannot be any more petty and low-level politics than this.
Shri Shah remarked that the people of Kalkaji should also ask Delhi's Chief Minister Atishi, where is the report of the poisoning, and which water was stopped? The members of the Aam Aadmi Party are habitual liars, and when it comes to breaking promises, there is no comparison to Kejriwal. Kejriwal had stated during Anna Hazare's movement that he would not form any political party, but within three months, he formed a political party. Later, he claimed that he would not take support from Congress, but when the seats were fewer, he took support from them and formed the government. He had said that he would never take a car, yet he took one. He had also said that he would not take a bungalow, but when one bungalow wasn't enough, he broke four bungalows to create a Sheesh Mahal for himself. In all of Kalkaji, there will be no homes with curtains that open with a remote, no lights that turn off with a clap, no homes with 16 TVs, and no houses with Italian marble. However, Kejriwal has managed to have all of this in his Sheesh Mahal.
Union Home Minister stated that with the money Kejriwal used to construct his Sheesh Mahal, many schools could have been built, and the number of beds in hospitals could have been increased, but Kejriwal used public funds to build his Sheesh Mahal. Arvind Kejriwal had promised to clean and purify the Yamuna River and even claimed he would demonstrate by taking a dip in it. However, despite talking about it for a month, he still hasn’t called the media to show the dip. Kejriwal had promised to double the number of beds in Delhi’s hospitals, but the people of Delhi deserve an answer for that. He also promised to provide 24/7 clean water, but that remains unfulfilled as well. He vowed to make Delhi pollution-free, but nothing has been done. Arvind Kejriwal has done nothing for the people of Delhi and has not fulfilled a single promise, yet he continues to lie, claiming that if the BJP government comes, all the welfare schemes for the poor will be stopped. However, this is a “Modi Ki Guarantee” and the BJP assures the people of Delhi that no welfare scheme for the poor will be discontinued once the BJP is in power. After Shri Ramesh Bidhuri's victory, the BJP guarantees to provide permanent homes for every slum dweller.
Shri Shah stated that Arvind Kejriwal had promised he wouldn’t engage in corruption, yet he was involved in liquor scams worth thousands of crores. He opened liquor shops near temples, gurdwaras, and schools, and eventually ended up in jail. A ₹28,000 crore scam was conducted in the Jal Board, ₹5,400 crore in the ration scheme, ₹4,500 crore in DTC buses, ₹1,300 crore in classroom construction, and ₹500 crore in the panic buttons for buses. Kejriwal constructed a Sheesh Mahal for himself worth ₹52 crore and carried out 65,000 fake COVID tests, resulting in scams worth crores.
Union Home Minister stated that Arvind Kejriwal is now blaming the Covid pandemic, but the pandemic affected the entire nation. Despite this, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji led the country’s economy from 11th to 5th position during the same period. He ensured two vaccine doses for every citizen, achieved the highest-ever FDI, facilitated record-breaking exports, provided houses to over 4 crore people, gave tap water connections to 15 crore households, distributed gas cylinders to 11 crore families, and built toilets for 12 crore poor households. This proves development is possible under any circumstances if there is a will to achieve it. If Kejriwal claims that development works were obstructed due to the pandemic, he must answer how he managed to build the ‘Sheesh Mahal,’ frame the excise policy behind the liquor scam, and contest elections in every state during the Covid pandemic. Neither Congress nor AAP is capable of bringing development to the people of Delhi.
Shri Shah stated that Mallikarjun Kharge questioned how taking a dip in the Mahakumbh would benefit the poor, but he must answer how he has benefited the poor by not taking a dip his entire life. BJP and Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji respect the country’s traditions and faith, which is why both Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was constructed and the Maha Kumbh Mela is being organized. Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji took a dip in the 2019 Kumbh Mela and ensured gas connections, toilets, electricity, 5 kg of free ration, health coverage up to ₹5 lakh, and other facilities for 60 crore people. Congress party, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, has always disrespected Sanatan Dharma. If Kharge Ji lacks faith, no one is forcing him, but he must not mock the faith of more than 48 crore people who take a dip in the Maha Kumbh with devotion. The Congress party has lost its ground in all states. Neither Congress nor AAP can ensure the development of Delhi. Only the BJP government, under the leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, can guarantee the development of Delhi. The people of Kalkaji must ensure Shri Ramesh Bidhuri’s victory. With the formation of a BJP government, within 5 years Delhi will become the number one city among all capitals.
Union Home Minister stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced in its Sankalp Patra that every poor woman will be provided ₹2,500 per month, pregnant women will receive ₹21,000 as financial assistance along with 6 nutrition kits, and LPG cylinders will be made available for ₹500. Additionally, 2 free cylinders will be given on Holi and Diwali. As soon as the BJP government is formed in Delhi, the Ayushman Bharat scheme will be implemented in the very first cabinet meeting to ensure free treatment up to ₹10 lakh for every resident of Delhi. In addition, free diagnostic testing facilities will be provided. The old-age pension will be increased to ₹2,500 per month, and the pension for widows and destitute women will be raised from ₹2,500 to ₹3,000 per month. Atal Canteens will be established in every poor settlement, where a full meal will be available for ₹5. Auto and taxi drivers will receive health insurance worth ₹10 lakh and accident insurance worth ₹5 lakh. Full ownership rights will be granted to 1,700 unauthorized colonies, and within six months, the judicial process will be completed to reopen the 13,000 shops sealed due to Kejriwal’s mistakes. Gig workers will also be provided life insurance of up to ₹10 lakh and accident insurance of up to ₹5 lakh. Additionally, 50,000 youths will be provided government jobs, and 20 lakh employment opportunities will be created. Tourism will be promoted by developing the Mahabharat Circuit in collaboration with the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi. Shri Shah appealed to the people of Delhi to ensure the victory of the BJP Assembly candidate, Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, and to form a BJP government in Delhi under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
