BJP President, Shri L.K. Advani has constituted a 5 member delegation to visit Karbi Anglong district in Assam were ongoing violence has claimed over 70 lives in just a week and yesterday 34 Karbis were hacked to death.
The delegation is visiting Assam today and is led by Shri S.S. Ahluwalia, Shri Indramoni Bora, Shri Rajen Gohain, Shri Narayan Borkataky (all Members of Parliament) and Smt. Bijoy Chakraborty (former Union Minister). The delegation will assess the situation and submit their report to Party President Shri L.K. Advani. The delegation will also call up the Governor of Assam.
BJP strongly condemns this heinous act of violence and holds the Congress State Govt. and the UPA responsible for deteriorating law and order situation in Assam.
