1. The Hyderabad session of AICC has exposed the party is devoid of ideology, ideals, ideas and any new programme. The ruling party, which is expected to give new thrust and programmes in such a session, has failed to deliver and brought out duplicity, hypocrisy and sycophancy to the fore. The ruling UPA govt. is experiencing dual power centres and is drifting without any specific direction. Now the party has also failed to address the real issues facing the country and tackle them.
Hypocrisy is the only word to describe political formulations by the party. It wants to fight the left parties vigoursely but is not ready to fight it along with all anti leftist forces in West Bengal. It has preferred to play B team of left parties in West Bengal. This is nothing but hypocrisy and surrender before the leftist just for the sake of power at centre. It talks about coalition dharma for the partners but shows no respect for the same as is evident in Karnataka. The whole basis of Congress led UPA coalition is anti BJPism, which is a negative notion and is not sustainable for stable politics. The Congress arrogance and clash of practical political interests in various states is the reason for the bickering amongst the partners of UPA. The alliance full of contradictions has weakened the country. The party also failed to address and spell out its policies challenging the national security.
On the economic front, the party has shown duplicity. On one hand it talks of AAM AADAMI and poverty alleviation but the Govt. has failed miserably to capitalise on opportunities thrown by new world economy. It is clear now that neither Party nor Govt. is pushing through the necessary economic reforms, which can take country forward with more speed in face of opposition from leftists.
The worst and probably only one outcome of this plenary session is sycophancy. The shameful sycophancy clamoring for ascendance of Rahul Gandhi reminds the sycophancy in the days of emergency during 1975-77. This is the true colour of Congress, which has nothing but dynasty as its only weapon for survival.
Their slogan was "Ateet Ki Neev, Bhavishya Ka Nirman" but it has turned out to be "Quattrochi ki Neev, Rahul Ka Nirman".
2. Confirmation by CBI today that Quattrochi has withdrawn Rs. 21 crores from his defreezed account confirms that UPA govt. under the direction of Smt. Sonia Gandhi has succeeded in its mission "Help Quattrochi". The rap by the court that govt. was bound to approach court first before defreeze as the court had ordered the freeze is a slap on the face of the govt.
The CPS revelation that it was not their initiative but defreeze happened because of Indian initiative is shocking and proves that the country was taken for ride by the establishment. The U-turn by additional solicitor general B Dutta is also revealing. In Feb. 2005 he authenticated Bofors document through affidavit and did a U-turn at later stage before the High Court. All these steps have ultimately resulted in defrauding the nation by an Italian fugitive.
