The incident in West Bengal is deeply saddening and alarming. The violence in Diamond Harbour and the attack on the NIA team is extremely serious. When the NIA team tried to arrest the accused of the blast, they faced a similar attack as the ED team did. Is this an attempt to uphold the constitution or to destroy it?

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's statement is shocking. She claimed that the NIA team arrived at midnight without informing the police, but the truth is that the Medinipur SP clearly stated they visited in the morning and informed the police. Furthermore, she alleged mistreatment of women, but video footage shows women police were present with the team.

But the most disheartening aspect is Mamata Banerjee's statement that the bomb was merely a "chocolate bomb." However, evidence shows that pieces of the victims' bodies were found meters away from the blast site, and even their worker was found dead. Whatever is being done to shield crime and corruption in West Bengal poses a grave threat to democracy and the constitution.

In my opinion, the situation under the TMC government in West Bengal is even more perilous than it was in Bihar under Lalu Yadav and in Uttar Pradesh under the Samajwadi Party, due to the organized and planned violence. There can be no greater injustice to the people of West Bengal than Mamata Banerjee's attempts to protect the culprits, as she did with Sheikh Shahjahan.
