Bharatiya Janata Party delegation complained to the ECI about the violation of MCC by Congress Party

Bharatiya Janata Party delegation comprising Union Minister Shri S Jaishankar, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Shri G Kishan Reddy, BJP National Media-Head Shri Anil Baluni and Shri Om Pathak met with the Election Commission of India on Wednesday regarding multiple instances of MCC violations from the Congress party and the consistent disregard shown by INC MP Rahul Gandhi and the Congress towards the Indian Army.

Union Minister Shri S Jaishankar stated that the BJP delegation has visited the Election Commission today because they had previously brought to the Commission's attention several instances of violations of the MCC by the Congress and other parties of the INDI alliance. They expressed concern over the lack of action taken despite raising these concerns. Shri Jaishankar mentioned that they presented 22 such examples to the Commission once again, reiterating the importance of addressing these violations. They emphasized that if such violations persist without consequences, it would undermine the respect for the model code of conduct and be detrimental to the entire country.

Shri S Jaishankar stated that another significant issue they presented to the EC today concerns our soldiers. A few days ago, Rahul Gandhi alleged that PM Shri Narendra Modi has created two categories of soldiers: one comprising Dalit, Tribal, and minority sons, and the other consisting of rich family's sons. Shri Jaishankar refuted this claim, stating it to be untrue. He highlighted that such statements directly undermine our armed forces and are aimed at creating controversy and lowering morale. Shri Jaishankar emphasized that this is not merely an election issue but a matter of national security. He stressed that the army, which safeguards the nation against terrorism and stands firm on the Pakistan border, should not be subjected to false narratives suggesting that the government would not support them if they were to become martyrs. Shri Jaishankar expressed grave concern over such assertions and urged the Election Commission to take stringent action to prevent such incidents in the future.

Union Minister Shri S Jaishankar highlighted that it's not the first time Rahul Gandhi and the Congress have targeted our armed forces. He referenced a past incident when Rahul Gandhi claimed in Parliament that our soldiers were beaten by Chinese troops in Arunachal Pradesh, despite the soldiers having successfully repelled them. Jaishankar expressed concern over this consistent disrespect towards our soldiers, citing instances where the Congress questioned the Balakot Air strike, the Uri surgical strike, and even made comments about the late General Shri Bipin Rawat. He emphasized the danger posed by such attacks on the armed forces, stating they should never be tolerated. This is why they approached the Election Commission. Additionally, he asserted that this issue would also be brought before the nation, as the country will not tolerate attacks on our soldiers for political gain.
