PRESS RELEASE BY BJP NATIONAL GENERAL SECRETARY AND MP SHRI ARUN SINGH ON THE ‘SEWA DIWAS‘ ORGANISED BY THE BJP ON MAY 30, 2021 TO MARK THE COMPLETION OF SEVEN YEARS OF PRO-POOR , WELFARE-ORIENTED BJP GOVERNMENT AT THE CENTRE UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF HON'BLE PRIME MINISTER SHRI NARENDRA MODI JI

 

The works and stupendous efforts of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has proven that if the intentions are good and efforts are made in the right direction to serve the people with passion and dedication then no work is impossible and even the most difficult of the task can easily be accomplished. During the first wave of the Corona Pandemic Shri Narendra Modi ji gave the nation a strong and decisive leadership and also established India’s presence and importance of ‘Vasudev Kutumbakam’ in the global arena, which is remarkable and unprecedented. On one hand Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji took care of 80 crore poor and needy people by introducing the Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojna providing them ration free of cost, and on the other hand he ensured that the Indian economy did not come to a standstill through the Gareeb Kalyan Yojna which he introduced.

 

On May 30, 2021 the Bharatiya Janata Party government completed seven years under the dynamic leadership and guidance of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, a government which is devoted towards the welfare and growth of poor and backward people and communities. The day was commemorated as the ‘Sewa Diwas’ by the Bharatiya Janata Party across the country. To mark the historic occasion it was decided that on May 30 crores of the BJP workers and leaders will visit over 1 lakh villages across the country where they will perform an elaborate programme serving and helping the people.

 

It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for the Bharatiya Janata Party and it also gives immense pleasure to share that the BJP workers did exceptionally well in ‘Sewa Diwas’ and exceeded all goals and targets set for the day to serve the people . On May 30 the BJP workers conducted massive drives to serve and help the needy and poor in 1,77,463 villages and 48,885 urban wards. On May 30, the BJP workers also organised various welfare programmes in 1,888 district centres and 6,315 at Mandal level.

 

During the ‘Sewa Diwas Abhiyan' the BJP workers distributed over 16.5 lakhs Immunity Kits to fight the Corona virus and also distributed over 1 crore face masks. Also, the party workers distributed over 13.5 lakhs ration kits and around 10 lakh food packets among the people. Apart from this, around 36,000 social Covid awareness programmes were also organised across the country.

 

The Bharatiya Janata Party also organised three-day blood donation camps across the country from May 28, 2021 to 30 May, 2021 where the target was to collect 50,000 units of blood. The BJP workers enthusiastically participated in the blood donation camps and surpassed the set target. In the blood donation camps organised across the country 71,432 party workers donated their blood, well exceeding the target of 50,000.

 

The Bharatiya Janata Party had also decided that on May 30, 2021 when the party completes 7 years of its good governance at the Centre under the dynamic and decisive leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, all BJP MPs, MLAs and Ministers will visit at least 2 villages and participate in the welfare and social work initiated by the BJP. In this initiative the BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji also took part by visiting Safeda village in Shahdara district of Delhi and Bilaspur Sadar mandal in Himachal Pradesh virtually.

 

Last year when the Corona pandemic came as a massive health and medical crisis and tragedy for humanity, then Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji had given the mantra of ‘Sewa Hi Sangathan'. On his clarion call, crores of BJP workers, without caring for their own health and wellbeing, had devoted and dedicated themselves into the service of humankind. While on one hand some Opposition parties remained in ‘lockdown‘ and ‘self -isolation‘, it were the BJP workers who came forward to help and assist crores of people across the country and stood firmly in India’s fight against the Corona pandemic. This yeoman service of crores of BJP workers was appreciated across the world.

 

This time also when India faced the second wave of the Corona pandemic then also the Bharatiya Janata Party, under the guidance of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and under the dynamic leadership of our National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji, started ‘Sewa Hi Sangathan 2.0' initiative with the aim to help the Corona affected people and also provide relief to poor and needy persons in this crisis . Under the ‘Sewa Hi Sangathan 2.0‘ initiative around 2,0000 blood donation camps have so far been organised by the BJP workers across the country. At the district level over 4100 Covid Dedicated Helplines have been set up so that anyone needing help and assistance can easily reach the BJP workers. This has also helped the BJP to reach out to crores of sick and needy people. So far the BJP workers have distributed around 1 crore 4 lakh face masks, while over 31.55 lakh food packets and 19 lakh ration kits have also been given to poor and needy people.

 

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s 12 lakh workers are currently engaged in Covid Awareness Campaign and also assisting in Corona Vaccination Drives being held across the country. The BJP workers have also reached around 5.5 lakhs booths under the party’s ‘Mera Booth, Corona Mukt Abhiyaan' being organised across India. Over 3.5 lakh BJP workers also engaged in serving and helping senior citizens and other needy persons across the country.

 

Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji had initiated a scheme between April and November last year where over 80 crores people were given free wheat, rice and pulses for a period of eight months under the Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojna. And this year also the Narendra Modi Government has extended the scheme for two months from April to May 2021 to ensure that no poor and needy goes without any food and ration.

 

Under the guidance of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and under the dynamic leadership of Hon'ble National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s selfless service of the people is continuing without any break and it will keep on going till we defeat and eradicate Corona from India. It is due to the hard work and dynamic leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and with the support and cooperation of the people that India has been successful in containing the second wave of Coronavirus and soon we will defeat and emerge victorious in our fight against the Corona pandemic.
