New Delhi, January 10, 2022: To mark the 75th year of the country’s independence ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav’ is being celebrated across India. Continuing its glorious tradition of remembering the true sons of the country, a National Essay Writing Competition is being organized by the BJYM, on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

This program is launched to commemorate Swami ji and popularize the essence of his teachings among the youth. The participants may choose from a range of seven topics for a 2000 words essay. The participants may choose from the following topics:-

 

1. Swami Vivekananda and his message for the youth

2. Swami Vivekananda and Education

3. Swami Vivekananda and Social Justice

4. Swami Vivekananda and Hindu Modernity

5. Swami Vivekananda and Women Empowerment

6. Swami Vivekananda and Internationalism

7. Swami Vivekananda and his Vision for Bharat

 

The essay may be written in English, Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannad, Malayalam, Telgu, Assamese, Punjabi, Odia or Gujarati. Participants upto the age of 35 years are eligible to participate in this competition. The last date of online submission is 20th of January, 2022 and the results will be announced on the 23rd of January. The submission shall be e-mailed at [email protected] .

 

The prize money for the first position is Rs.11,000/-, Rs.7,000/- for the second, Rs.5,000/- for the third and Rs.2,000/- for three consolation prizes. The winners would also get an invitation to join the National President BJYM and MP Shri Tejasvi Surya Ji for a high tea. The winning essays would also be published in the BJYM National Magazine and featured on the website of BJYM organization.

 

National President Tejasvi Surya said “Swami Vivekananda was the foremost monk, thinker, philosopher, social reformer, and youth icon of modern India. BJYM believes that the youth of today should imbibe the learnings of Swami Vivekananda and follow his path of truth, sincerity, discipline and Nationalism. Through these competitions, we are hoping that the youth draw inspiration from Swami Vivekananda and work for the service of the nation.”
