BJYM marks Shaheedi Diwas with cleanliness drives

New Delhi, March 23, 2022: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised cleanliness drives across the country on the occasion of Shaheedi Diwas.

The drives were conducted at historical places and Shaheed Smaraks in which lakhs of BJYM karyakartas and youth participated. It was a befitting tribute to the sacrifices made by India's revolutionary leaders Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, who were hanged by the oppressive British Government on this day in 1931.

The BJYM functionaries supported the message of building a clean India where they made an appeal that one should neither litter nor let anyone litter. The cleanliness drives were also held in temples, schools, colleges, offices and various other public places.

Commenting on the unique campaign, BJYM National president Shri Tejasvi Surya said: “The independent India that Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh ji, Rajguru and Sukhdev had envisioned, is today emerging as a superpower and a leader on the world stage under the able leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Making independent India a strong India is a real tribute we can offer to these great men who have fought for our freedom. These brave sons of the country have given their ultimate sacrifice for the independence of our country. Keeping the independent India of their dreams clean and healthy should be a fundamental duty of all of us. This is key in building a prosperous, healthy and strong India.”
