Press Release

Union Minister Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar strongly attacked Mamata Banerjee on the illegal raid conducted at the house of West Bengal Assembly LoP and senior BJP leader Shri Suvendu Adhikari

TMC President and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is absolutely sure of her overwhelming defeat in the state, thus she is harassing Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in a frenzy. Mamata Banerjee ordered her police to raid the home of West Bengal Assembly Leader of Opposition and senior BJP leader Shri Suvendu Adhikari in Kolaghat, East Medinipur, on Tuesday without a search warrant or court approval. Such behaviors are unacceptable.

Bharatiya Janata Party is set to make history in West Bengal because many people in the state are strongly supporting the BJP, due to this support Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is feeling very frustrated. Even after the elections, violence against BJP Karyakartas in West Bengal continues. Mamata Banerjee is also trying to intimidate workers of Bharat Sevashram and Ramakrishna Mission.

Despite clear instructions from the Kolkata High Court about not taking any action against West Bengal Leader of Opposition and senior BJP leader Shri Suvendu Adhikari without the court's permission or warrant, about 70 - 80 policemen in civil clothes arrested Shri Suvendu without any warrant or permission. Mamata Banerjee's police did not find anything in the raid and they left empty-handed. Shri Suvendu Adhikari has also filed a complaint against this. If the police had a search warrant, the police could have conducted the search in his presence but that did not happen. Mamata Banerjee is enraged and is devising different plots against Suvendu Adhikari and his brother, as well as harassing his elderly parents. It is unclear why the Bengal Police visited his home. Suppose, if the police leave broken guns, cash or any drugs at the house in the absence of the house owner, then who will take responsibility for it?

Shri Chandrashekhar stated that Mamata Banerjee's actions clearly indicate that a significant change is on the horizon in the political landscape of West Bengal, with the Bharatiya Janata Party set to emerge victorious on more than 30 Lok Sabha seats. Mamata Banerjee's mental balance has been disturbed due to the potential massive victory of BJP, leading her to extend support to the INDI Alliance. The political winds of change have begun to blow in West Bengal, with the electorate decisively leaning towards the Bharatiya Janata Party to bring about transformative results in the state.
