Hon’ble BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji listened 90th edition of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's popular program 'Mann Ki Baat' with booth karyakartas at GNH Community Center, Sector-48, Gurugram (Haryana)

 

     Addressing the BJP leaders and workers after the programme, the Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji said 25th June is the black day in the history of Independent and democratic India as on this day Emergency was imposed in the country and democracy was murdered. I was also arrested from my classroom when I was just 19 years old.

 

     Today India stands as the world’s largest democracy, and the basic premise behind it is our Constitution. It is also the ideology and principles of the Bharatiya Janata Party and our constitutional duties which has always worked to save our democracy. It was our leaders and workers who had fought to save our democracy during the Emergency.

 

     During the Emergency era over 70,000 people were arrested under the black law Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA) while over 45,000 were put in jail under the Defence of India (DRI) Rules. People were put in jails for over 20 months.

 

     Today the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji started his address to the nation with the mention of Emergency, it had nothing to do with politics, rather he connected it with our vibrant democracy and Constitution which are the solid basis of our country.

 

     Despite competing successfully in 90 editions of the highly popular ‘Mann ki Baat’, our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has never ever used this unique platform to talk about politics. He has also kept before the people of the country the unique and successful stories, ideas and innovations related to spiritualism, social issues, sports, public issues and social work.

 

     Today the Hon’ble Prime Minister appealed to the people not to use polythene which is hurting our environment. The ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is aimed at bringing positive changes in our society, it talks about transforming the country and our society, it talks about people who have worked hard to bring changes in our society.

 

     The kind of positive changes we have seen in our society and people after hearing the ‘Mann ki Baat’ programme of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji are very heartening and encouraging. It has made a deep impact on our society and the future episodes of ‘Mann ki Baat’ will also keep on inspiring people and bring desired changes in our society and our country.

 

     Today the Hon’ble Prime Minister also talked about sports, Khelo India initiative and also about the young talented people from our villages and rural background who have excelled in various sports. He also talked about  the ‘Chitte Lui’ river cleaning drive in Mizoram’s capital Aizawl where local people and NGOs came together to start the ‘Save Chitte Lui action plan’ and cleaned the river.

 

     Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has been constantly talking about people who have been working to save and preserve our environment and has been lauding their efforts and asking people to learn from their experiences. He also talked about space research and highlighted how today’s youth are bringing new energy in the field of space research. 

 

     It is our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji who has used this platform of ‘Mann ki Baat’ for such a long period without mentioning anything about politics and has only talked about contemporary issues and issues related to nation-building and social reforms. It is the social aspect of Shri Narendra Modi ji which reflects from his initiative. It also showcases his devotion towards the nation and his feelings of nationalism and national integration.

 

     It is the responsibility of all of us to take time out of our schedules and collectively listen to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s ‘Mann ki Baat’ by assembling at our nearby booths. This effort of every BJP worker will help in taking the thoughts of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to every citizen besides strengthening and making our booths more vibrant. From the ‘Mann ki Baat’ programme we should also try to adopt all the inspiring stories in our lives and also contribute towards our society.

 

     It is also our responsibility to stop using plastic and also make people aware about its hazards and urge them to minimize its use in order to preserve and save our environment. It is also our responsibility to encourage and support all young talents and local sportspersons and those excelling in other fields. We should all strive to bring positive changes in our society and strengthen our nation.
