It is a matter of great privilege and honour for us that a woman from the tribal community will soon take over as the President of our country. The election of Smt Droupadi Murmu with a massive mandate to the highest constitutional office of our country is a historic event. It is also a matter of great pride and joy for every citizen of India : Ajrun Munda.

Today the entire tribal community is feeling proud and honoured that our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji are taking historic and pathbreaking decisions which is the result of their foresightedness : Arjun Munda.

The BJP Government under the leadership of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji also took the historic and remarkable decision to celebrate the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the great tribal leader and freedom fighter who laid down his life in our freedom struggle, as the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas : Arjun Munda.

The Narendra Modi government is also constructing a national museum dedicated to the lives of freedom fighters who come from tribal communities . The national museum dedicated to our tribal leaders from 10 states -- Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Mizoram, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur and Goa -- will showcase the lives of these freedom fighters and sacrifices they made for the freedom of our country : Arjun Munda.

In the financial year 2022-23 the Tribal Affairs Ministry was allocated Rs 8451.92 crores in the Budget, which is 12.32 % more than the Budget of Rs 7524.87 crores allocated in 2021-22, which shows the commitment of the Narendra Modi Government towards our tribal communities : Arjun Munda.

The Budget allocated for the schemes and projects linked to development and welfare of tribal communities by the Narendra Modi government is several times more than what the previous Congress governments used to give. In the past 8 year the Narendra Modi government has consistently hiked the budget meant for tribal development.

Under the Pradhanmantri Adarsh Gram Yojna all the tribal dominated villages across the country are being developed. Thousands of crores of rupees is being spent on these projects. Similarly, the Eklavya Model School has provided a unique platform to the students of the tribal communities and has fulfilled their dreams : Arjun Munda.

The victory of Smt Droupadi Murmu, the daughter of the tribal community, for the post of the highest office of our country is a highly significant and momentous occasion in the history of Independent India. For the first time a tribal woman will be gracing the chair of the President since our Independence. It is the Narendra Modi Government which for the first time gave MSP on forest produce which benefited our tribal communities and made them financially strong. The Narendra Modi government included 23 additional MFP items in the MSP list. Today it is our tribal communities which are getting maximum benefits from the District Mineral Fund ; Samir Oraon.

Today under the public procurement policy all government ministries, departments, organisations and PSUs have to purchase a minimum of 25% of their requirements from the Micro small and medium enterprises. And out of this, procurement 4 % has to be done from enterprises belonging to the SC and ST entrepreneurs. This is the kind of policies the Narendra Modi government has formed to help our tribal communities: Samir Oraon.

During the 8 years of his government, our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has focused on those districts across the country which have been laggards in development and growth .
