Union MoS for IT & Communication Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Pratyush Kanth conducted a joint press conference at the party’s headquarters, on Saturday. During the conference, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar highlighted that Congress followers chanted 'Pakistan Zindabad' during the Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka. However, this claim was later denied by the party’s leaders, and forensic labs confirmed that 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans were raised in the Vidhana Soudha Corridor. Shri Chandrasekhar linked this to bomb blasts and urged a thorough investigation. Shri Pratyush Kanth criticized Congress' appeasement politics, citing the Hanuman flag issue and temple taxes, expressing concern over leaders seeking help from Pakistan.

Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar stated that on February 27, during the Rajya Sabha elections, INC Rajya Sabha MP Nasir Hussain (former secretary of Mallikarjun Kharge) followers chanted ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ following his victory in Karnataka’s Vidhan Soudha. Shri Chandrasekhar stated that the slogans were live on TV, and when journalists challenged Nasir Hussain and asked him to respond to the slogans, he did not respond and just said “Are Chhodo”.

Shri Chandrasekhar highlighted that when the BJP protested against the incident, the Congress came up with a highly coordinated strategy to portray that there were chants of ‘Nasir Hussain Zindabad’ and not ‘Pakistan Zindabad. Shri Chandrasekhar noted that he had protested against this, along with people from Karnataka. Many people, including Mallikarjun Kharge's son and various state ministers, attempted to troll and depict this incident as fake news. There were numerous video clips available in which the slogan of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ was clearly recorded. A case was filed, and an FIR against unknown individuals was lodged by the police. When Congress came out for damage control, they tried to prove that the BJP was spreading fake news regarding an incident which actually never happened.

Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized that the Forensic Science Laboratories have now confirmed and clearly stated that the chant of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ in the recordings was indeed authentic and genuine, and that was the only chant raised. Whenever Congress gets exposed and their desperate appeasement politics comes to light, their leaders always exhibit a mentality of denial. Even when their leader Rahul Gandhi is touring the country for the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, his followers in the party are chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ in Karnataka Assembly.

Union Minister Shri Rajeev expressed that after the bomb explosions at the epicenter of the IT community in Whitefield, the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister initially stated that only a gas cylinder had exploded and then suggested it could be a result of business rivalry. Today, the Commissioner of Police and the Karnataka CM have been requested to ensure that state ministers do not compromise the investigation. So is the conspiracy behind chants of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans and the detonation of IEDs. This is to facilitate the investigation into any potential connections between these two incidents.

Shri Chandrasekhar noted that after the Congress government came to power in Karnataka, there has been a complete halt to development and investments in the state. The electricity prices are continuously increasing. For the first time, there has been a shortage of water in Bangalore. Corruption and appeasement politics have surged, with innocent citizens bearing the brunt of Congress' policies.

Shri Pratyush Kanth highlighted a chronological sequence where initially, INC leader BK Hariprasad stated that only the BJP hates Pakistan, not the Congress, and subsequently, a bomb blast occurred in Karnataka, which CM Siddaramaiah initially denied, accusing the BJP of politicizing the event. Shri Kanth pointed out that such denial sends the wrong message to the police, undermining their ability to take appropriate action.

BJP National Spokesperson argued that Congress tends to lean towards appeasement politics, citing opposition to the Hanuman flag and the imposition of taxes on Hindu temples. Shri Kanth expressed concern over Congress leaders seeking help from Pakistan abroad and questioned why bomb blasts occurred in various parts of India during Congress's regime. Shri Kanth stated that on one side PM Shri Narendra Modi has a ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy against terrorism, whereas Congress fully supports it and the ‘Forensic Science Laboratories’ report solidifies the claim.
