Union MoS Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar and BJP National Spokesperson & Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi addressed a joint press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the press conference, leaders strongly criticized Overseas Congress President Sam Pitroda for his racist and divisive statements, targeting the Congress. Shri Trivedi emphasized that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has revered India as the Mother of Democracy, but individuals influenced by advisors with foreign mentalities fail to grasp the essence of the nation.

Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar highlighted Sam Pitroda's significant role as the chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress and a mentor to Rahul Gandhi. He emphasized that Pitroda's statements often echo the sentiments of Rahul Gandhi. Pitroda has a history of making controversial remarks, particularly before elections. During the 2019 elections, Sam Pitroda asked about the 1984 sikh riots to which he replied as ‘So What’. When asked about corruption during UPA tenure, he responded ‘Corruption is a way of life’. When he was asked about the Pulawama attacks, he responded ‘Terrorism is a way of life’. In a most recent statement, he mentioned that the whole country is hung up on Ram Mandir. When he was asked about middle-class taxes, he stated that the ‘middle class can afford more taxes’. Sam Pitroda is not a small leader, but a decisive figure in the party. The remarks of Pitroda showcase his 'Idea of India', therefore showcasing the 'Idea of India' of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.

Shri Chandrashekhar mentioned that Sam Pitroda considers Indians as a group of Africans, Chinese and Arabs, reflecting the divisiveness, racism, shamelessness and ignorance of the Congress leadership. Rahul Gandhi, who organized the Mohabbat Ki Dukan and Bharat Jodo Yatra, and the leaders of Sonia Gandhi's party, who talked about an inclusive India, are making such divisive and racist statements about India and their senior leader DK Suresh is calling for making South India a separate country. Congress, which has been continuously insulting India and its democracy, Sanatan and faith, has crossed all limits today. The mentality of Congress is nothing but hypocrisy, lies and division. What is the reaction of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin on this divisive and racist statement of their INDI Alliance leader Sam Pitroda? Bharatiya Janata Party demands an apology from Rahul Gandhi and Sam Pitroda to the entire country for such objectionable statements.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Trivedi highlighted that as the Lok Sabha elections near their end, the true nature of the Congress is becoming increasingly apparent. Today, once again, Sam Pitroda, an advisor to Rahul Gandhi, made derogatory remarks about Indian culture and the identity of Indians. It seems that his statement is not just aimed at the elections but is a direct attack on the identity of India itself. Pitroda also suggested that the diversity and democracy of India have been affected by events like Ram Navami processions and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's visits to temples. Western-minded advisors can never truly comprehend the faith of individuals.

BJP MP Dr. Trivedi highlighted that PM Shri Narendra Modi has stated that India is the Mother of democracy, but some believe that this concept was introduced by foreigners. Pitroda's statement reflects a lack of understanding and respect for India's diverse heritage and original identity. Those who question Indian democracy should be aware that democratic practices existed in ancient India. For example, the gram sabhas were democratically elected in the Chola Kingdom, members of the Anubhav Mandapam of Bhagwan Vasvanna were elected democratically in the 11th century, and the Republic of Vaishali was established more than 2600 years ago. Even during the Vedic era, there were provisions for Sabha Samiti.  The Congress needs to shed its colonial mindset and recognize that ancient India had a vibrant tradition of debate and democracy, even within religious contexts, which was unparalleled in the world.

Dr. Trivedi stated that the culture that he is claiming has weakened the idea of India and democracy, culture is a fundamental base of democracy and diversity. The Congress, in an attempt to protect the Babri structure, has been standing in court proceedings, and they are even resorting to efforts from abroad to discredit the Ram temple. The remark by Sam Pitroda questioned the whole entity of India. He characterized North Indians as White, West Indians as Arab, Eastern Indians as Chinese and South Indians as Africans. With the rise of foreign-origin leadership in Congress, individuals of foreign origin began to be sought after in every corner of India, from the North to the South, and from the East to the West. This battle represents a clash over the concept of India's identity. The "Idea of India" being contested reflects a colonial mindset, advocating for the influence of foreign rulers and suggesting that traitors have contributed to the fragmentation of Hindustan. The BJP vehemently opposes this notion. According to the BJP, "Bharat," encompasses the entire landmass from the southern ocean to the great northern Himalayas. This perspective underscores the unity and sovereignty of the entire territory as one indivisible entity. The Congress' mindset is clear, their concept is 'Bharat Ko Andar Se Todo, Aur Videsh Se Jodo'. Rahul Gandhi who talks about X-Ray, has been cleared by Sam Pitroda. Sonia Gandhi, who talks about inclusive India, has been cleared that it is actually divisive India.
