Salient points of Union Minister Smt Meenakshi Lekhi and Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva’s Joint Press Conference

Alliance between INC and AAP is deemed unethical and impure. The sum of this alliance is zero, indicating no positive outcome. In areas where this purported alliance has occurred, the BJP's vote share exceeds 50%

********************

These defeated and exhausted individuals have been repeatedly rejected by the people in the Lok Sabha elections. This time too, they will face a resounding defeat. INC and AAP are forming alliances to cover up each other's corruption. It's like thieves banding together

********************

The Congress alliance is a prime example of "kneel down politics." The oldest party in the country has only managed to secure 3 out of 7 seats in the capital city. In Uttar Pradesh, they are struggling with just 17 seats. They have also faced setbacks in Gujarat. The situation is no different in West Bengal. What more misfortune could befall the Congress party?

********************

Now, they won't be able to claim that BJP won because our votes were divided, it's fortunate that the Aam Aadmi Party and the INC have formed an alliance

********************

INC and AAP are forming alliances to cover up their individual defeats, so that both parties can blame each other for the lack of vote transfer to their side, resulting in their loss. Additionally, they want to conceal their worst performances

********************

Until yesterday, the INC and the Aam Aadmi Party were engaged in opposing each other and proving each other corrupt, but today, due to the fear of defeat to the BJP and the dirty politics of the vote bank, both parties are coming together

********************

What sort of unholy coalition is this? They'll contest separately in Punjab but united elsewhere. The electorate is astute; they'll deliver a resounding response to these politicians

********************

Making an alliance does not guarantee victory in elections. Victory is achieved through chemistry with the public, not with mathematics. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has a direct connection with the public

********************

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP alone got 56.86% votes in Delhi, 62.21% in Gujarat, 58.02% in Haryana, 51.19% in Goa, and 50.64% in Chandigarh, meaning BJP had secured more than 50 percent votes everywhere. This time we will increase our vote percentage even further

********************

Arvind Kejriwal has been summoned 7 times in the liquor scam, and he failed to appear each time. Scams proliferate within the Aam Aadmi Party - be it in water, electricity, or the construction of school classrooms. The public will give a befitting reply

********************

Anger and resentment among women nationwide over the Sandeshkhali incident as Bengal police harass victimized women while Shahjahan Sheikh remains unarrested for inhumane treatment of women, It seems that Mamata Banerjee has not yet issued an order for the arrest of Shahjahan Sheikh

********************

Incidents of atrocities against women continue to emerge in West Bengal. Nearly 700 complaints, including cases of rape, illegal land occupation, and human trafficking have been filed

********************

Two tragic incidents have occurred in West Bengal in the last 24 hours. A brutal incident involving the rape and murder of a tribal minor girl studying in class 9 has surfaced, alongside reports of the murder of a 27-year-old woman. What kind of Bengal has Mamata Banerjee created?

********************

Mamata Banerjee's "Mamata" has died. Despite the High Court's order, Shahjahan Shaikh remains unarrested while victimized women are being threatened, even with the West Bengal DGP present in the area

A joint press conference was conducted at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s headquarters in New Delhi, by Union Minister Smt Meenakshi Lekhi and Delhi BJP President Shri Vidrendra Sachdeva on Saturday. During the press conference, they criticized the newly-formed AAP-Congress alliance, and labeled it as a union of "thieves'' and "corrupt" individuals. Shri Sachdeva highlighted the irony of their alliance, once accusing each other of corruption, now forming a coalition. Shri Virendra Sachdeva and Smt Meenakshi Lekhi also expressed confidence in the BJP winning all 7 Lok Sabha seats in Delhi in the upcoming general election.

Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva remarked that AAP and Congress, who previously leveled allegations of corruption against each other, are now forming an alliance, mockingly referring to them as "Chor Chor Mausere Bhai." Shri Sachdeva highlighted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's transition from condemning figures like Sheila Dikshit, Rahul Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi with purported evidence to aligning with them, now joining forces with those he once criticized. Shri Sachdeva noted that during the assembly session, Kejriwal had demanded the withdrawal of Rajiv Gandhi's Bharat Ratna. Today, the same two parties are joining forces because they recognize that, under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the BJP is positioned to secure victory both nationally and in all 7 seats in Delhi.

Shri Virendra Sachdeva stated that AAP and Congress are both scared and confused. They used to falsely accuse each other, but now they're joining forces, which is ironic. However, politically, it doesn't make sense. Both parties (AAP-INC) have zero Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. Adding zero to zero still equals zero. Every BJP karyakarta is happy that two corrupt parties have joined forces in a coalition. Now, AAP and Congress won't be able to claim that BJP won because our votes were divided. Shri Sachdeva confidently stated that we will face them directly in the elections. If they want to include more parties in their coalition, they can go ahead. Shri Virendra Sachdeva remarked that we believe in the leadership and policies of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Our MPs  and Central governments have worked for Delhi's development. However, the AAP government has looted Delhi and engaged in numerous scams. The people of Delhi will vote against AAP's corruption and in favor of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership by defeating AAP in all seven seats.

Delhi BJP President Shri Sachdeva noted that after the announcement of the AAP-Congress alliance at a 4-3 ratio, even their MLAs are asking whether there will be the same ratio in the assembly elections. 62 parties are kneeling down to a party that doesn't have a single MLA, just to hide their corruption. Shri Sachdeva stated that Delhi's public is very smart, they will not let any strategies of this alliance be successful. Shri Sachdeva confidently affirmed that the BJP is assured that it will win all 7 Lok Sabha seats in Delhi based on our developmental works, the dedication of our karyakartas, and with the support of the public.

BJP MP and Spokesperson Smt Meenakshi Lekhi questioned whether party alliances truly unite hearts, and if politicians fail to connect on a personal level, can the public trust them, particularly when facing off against the party structure of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party. She stated that every member, regardless of their stature, prioritizes their role as a karyakarta above all else. The influence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership underscores the strength of the party.

Smt Meenakshi Lekhi criticized the Opposition parties who often stoop low in their pursuit of power. While this unmatched alliance may not yield significant benefits in their presence, it certainly highlights what is often referred to as kneel-down politics. They resort to such tactics to bolster their weak positions. In 2013, the Aam Aadmi Party accused the INC of being a corrupt party, with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal releasing a list of corrupt leaders, including then-Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, former Union Minister Kapil Sibal, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Veerappa Moily, Jitendra Singh, Salman Khurshid, Kamal Nath, and others.

BJP MP Smt Meenakshi Lekhi stated that the INC and AAP engage in a contest to prove which party is more corrupt, the Bharatiya Janata Party maintains its consistent stance against corruption. The BJP initiated the anti-corruption movement. Critically, she pointed out the symbolic association of the broom with both the INC in the past and now in connection to the AAP and INC alliance. This was exemplified during Kapil Sibal's tenure as Law Minister when the law prevented assigning the broom symbol to a new party lacking a proven majority. After Smt. Uma Bharti separated from the Bharatiya Janata Party and formed her own party, she had to contest on different symbols for each seat. She requested the symbol of the rising sun but was denied due to election regulations. However, when the AAP emerged, it obtained its election symbol swiftly. It couldn't have formed the party without aligning with the INC. At that time, the INC wielded the broom symbol, and both parties were implicated in corruption. The resemblance between the parties is evident.

Smt Meenaskshi Lekhi stated that the aim of these political individuals was to undermine Sheila Dikshit's political career, leading to the formation of the AAP party. In 2019, Arvind Kejriwal pledged to his children that he would never form an alliance with the INC. However, they reversed their stance, and those who backtrack on their promises lose credibility with the public. Consequently, they are facing backlash from the public. Despite their attempts to find political footing, constituents in those constituencies are unwilling to forgive such actions. She mentioned that in West Bengal, the INC allied with the CPI, showcasing unity, while in Kerala, they were on opposing sides. The outcomes of these alliances are widely known.

Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi presented figures, stating that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Delhi, BJP alone secured a 56.86% vote share, while Congress obtained 22.51% and AAP got 18.11%. She emphasized that politics is not mathematics but chemistry, and one earns people's support through genuine work. The chemistry between the corrupt differs from that of those who serve the public. Therefore, the chemistry of corrupt individuals cannot prevail against those dedicated to serving the public. She highlighted that if the vote shares of AAP and Congress are combined, they sum up to 40.62%. Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi stated that in Gujarat, BJP secured 62.21% of the votes, in Haryana 58.02%, in Goa 51.19%, and in Chandigarh 50.64%. These statistics undermine the arithmetic and chemistry of the alliance between AAP and Congress. She highlighted that BJP’s vote share will only increase in the upcoming elections based on the work accomplished over the past five years.

Smt Meenakshi Lekhi asserted, "This alliance doesn't have a leg to stand on." She emphasized that their primary motive is to blame each other after their inevitable loss in the upcoming elections, as both parties are well aware of their impending defeat. Smt Meenakshi Lekhi stated that we will show the public whether they prefer honest servants or the corrupt. These individuals not only flip through pages of books but also manipulate faith and religion, whether it's swearing upon their children, the Ram Temple, or the Sheesh Mahal. Smt Lekhi stated that the intoxication of alcohol is such that it won't spare Kejriwal. It is said that addiction ruins many households. Scams involving alcohol and the Sheesh Mahal have already ruined AAP's household.

Smt Meenakshi Lekhi expressed her concern over the escalating anger in Sandeshkhali, attributing it to the persistent issues of women's harassment, human trafficking, and child exploitation despite the presence of a female minister. She highlighted the recent protest led by Smt Malti Srinivasan, President of the BJP Mahila Morcha, marching from College Square. The objective was to urge the police to support the victims and take decisive action against the perpetrators. However, she criticized the West Bengal Director General of Police for remaining inactive amidst the turmoil. The police are themselves harassing the victims. Children studying in the tenth grade have been taken into custody, and cases are being filed against mothers and sisters who are pleading for justice. However, Shahjahan Sheikh has not been arrested.

BJP MP Smt Meenakshi Lekhi stated that the West Bengal government is deluded into thinking it can govern there arbitrarily. Instead of arresting the accused, this government has filed cases against more than 700 affected women. In the last 24 hours, incidents of rape have been perpetrated against a minor tribal girl and a 27-year-old woman. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's sympathy is only for criminals like Shahjahan, and she lacks any empathy for the victims. Smt Lekhi expressed outrage on behalf of the BJP regarding this matter, stating that while Mamata Banerjee, as the Chief Minister, does not stand with the daughters of Bengal, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP stands with all these mothers and sisters and is committed to ensuring justice for them.
