Congress has consistently prioritized “Vote Bank Neeti” over “Rashtraneeti”

*******************

INDI Alliance has resorted to the ‘politics of abuse’ and the ‘politics of disturbance’ to protect their own corruption and dynastic politics

*******************

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi the count of Naxal-affected districts dropped from 96 to 45, with recent operations leading to the elimination of 80 Naxalites, the arrest of around 125, and the surrender of 150

*******************

Instead of delivering water from the Cauvery and providing essential services, DK Shivakumar is intimidating the public

Congress has committed a heinous act by labeling the esteemed former first CDS Rawat, who is held in high regard by the nation, as a “Sadak ka Gunda”

*******************

Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla addressed the media at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi, on Thursday. During the briefing, Shri Shehzad Poonawalla criticized the Congress party, including the party’s spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, who referred to Naxalites as martyrs and questioned the army's actions. Shri Poonawalla sharply criticized the INDI alliance, including JMM, for threatening Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and appealed to the Election Commission to take action against Congress leaders, including D.K. Shivakumar, and others for threatening the public.

BJP National spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla stated that disrespecting the Indian army, disrespecting the security forces, and considering terrorism as a mere matter are the recognizable traits of the Congress party and the INDI alliance. Shri Poonawalla highlighted that the Congress party has had a long-standing character and DNA where they have always prioritized the interests of their party over the nation's interest. The Congress has consistently placed ‘Vote bank neeti’ and the protection of vote banks above ‘Rashtraneeti’ and the nation's security. Therefore, engaging in petty politics and politicizing issues of national security has become a characteristic of the Congress party, even if it means having to appease terrorists and extremists.

Shri Poonawalla stated that there was a time when the UPA government under Manmohan Singh had declared Naxalites, left-wing extremism, as the biggest internal security threat to the country. He recalled an incident where, in Chhattisgarh, the Naxals had wiped out an entire unit of the Congress party in a terrorist attack. However, today, when the same Congress party, instead of welcoming and honoring the security forces for their significant success against Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, labels terrorists and Naxals as martyrs. By questioning the actions of the armed forces, the Congress party undermines their morale.

Shri Shehzad Poonawalla asserted that according to the statements made by the Hon’ble Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, nearly 29 Naxalites were killed, among whom 3 or 4 brave soldiers of the Indian security forces were also injured. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla emphasized that among the deceased, only Naxalites are included, specifically those who were targeted for rewards, and many weapons including AK-47 rifles were seized from them. However, the Congress party officially insists that there should be a thorough investigation into the entire operation, where the success achieved by the security forces should be examined, and empathy should be expressed for the Naxalites who were killed. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla raised questions about how the Congress considers Naxalites as martyrs while viewing the brave soldiers of the army as street goons. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla recalled previous instances where senior Congress leaders from official platforms have derogatorily referred to the pride of Uttarakhand and Gadhwal and the first CDS officer late Shri Bipin Rawat as street thugs. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla pointed out the irony of the Congress branding the chief of the army as a street thug while honoring Naxalites as martyrs.

Shri Shehzad Poonawalla highlighted that the statement made by Supriya Shrinate came to light recently, and the Congress has neither disowned nor distanced itself from this statement. This implies that it's not just Supriya Shrinate's statement but a collective stance of all Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Kharge. This isn't the first time Congress has made such remarks, especially concerning Naxalites. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla criticized Kanhaiya Kumar, who is contesting from Delhi, for advocating to bestow martyrdom upon all Naxalites and waging a war against those who are considering them martyrs. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla pointed out that Kanhaiya Kumar, the same person who organized a program in JNU in honor of Afzal Guru, attended by Rahul Gandhi, is now making such statements. Kanhaiya Kumar also alleges that security forces commit rape in various places, portraying them as rapists and street thugs, while glorifying Naxalites as martyrs. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla criticized this stance, stating that Kanhaiya Kumar views Afzal Guru as a victim, Yakub Memon as a martyr, and terrorists as endearing, which reflects the character of the Indian Alliance and INC.

BJP National Spokesperson questioned if this is not the official stand of the Congress party, then why was there no condemnation when the party called the surgical strike carried out by the army as ‘Khoon ki Dalaali’ which was a statement made by Rahul Gandhi? When the Balakot airstrike was carried out, Congress leaders such as Digvijay Singh and Navjot Singh demanded proof of it. Shri Ponawalla highlighted that when Digvijay Singh gave a clean chit to Pakistan after the 26/11 attacks and attempted to shift the entire blame onto Hindus while protecting Islamic jihad, there was no action taken against him. When the Pulwama attack happened, whether it was Adhir Ranjan, Randeep Surjewala, Ram Gopal Yadav, or Mamata Banerjee, they all gave security cover to Islamic jihad and Pakistan at different times, questioning India's central agencies.

Shri Poonawalla stated that Congress leaders have referred to Osama Bin Laden and Hafiz Saeed as "Ji". Congress' minister in Maharashtra during the MVA government, Aslam Sheikh, referred to Yakub Memon, who was convicted by the Supreme Court, as ‘innocent’. Shri Poonawalla emphasized that statements such as "Afzal Hum Sharminda Hai Tere Katil Zinda  Hai" have been supported by Congress, along with supporting ‘tukde-tukde’ groups that have a mindset of breaking the country apart. This is the character of the entire INDI alliance, and Supriya Shrinate has exposed the face of the whole INDI alliance.

Shri Poonawalla stated that when a ban was imposed on SIMI, the RJD and Samajwadi Party defended SIMI by referring to them as misguided youth. When Akhilesh Yadav's government was in power in 2012, there was an attempt to release terrorists who had carried out serial bomb blasts in Varanasi. Shri Poonawalla noted that at that time, the High Court remarked, "Today you are releasing terrorists, tomorrow, will you give them the Padma Shri award?" This observation was made by Justice RK Agarwal and Justice RSR Maurya.

Shri Shehzad Poonawalla posed a single question that why does the Congress party have an association with terrorists, particularly Naxalites? Shri Shehzad Poonawalla questioned the nature of Congress's relationship with terrorists, citing examples such as sympathizing with Afzal Guru, Yakub Memon, considering Naxalites as martyrs, and labeling the chief of the army as a street thug, implying that the Congress party targets the military to appease its vote bank. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla demanded an explanation from the Congress party regarding whether terrorists are being glorified for the sake of securing votes. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla highlighted the Modi-led government's zero tolerance policy towards terrorism in the past decade, which led to a significant decline in Naxalism and left-wing extremism, with a 70% decrease in Naxalite incidents, an 85% decrease in civilian deaths in affected areas, and a 72% decrease in security forces casualties. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla pointed out that the number of Naxal-affected districts decreased from 96 to 45 and mentioned recent successful operations resulting in the elimination of 80 Naxalites, the arrest of approximately 125, and the surrender of 150. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla suggested that during the Congress's tenure in Chhattisgarh, the prevalence of left-wing extremism and the red corridor was substantial, and the current alignment of the Congress party with Naxalites suggests that it is advocating for the very extremists it once fought against. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla implied that the Congress party's willingness to stand with terrorists today, even against the Prime Minister, suggests a lack of hesitation on their part.

Shri Shehzad Poonawalla pointed out that Rahul Gandhi initiated a trend of disrespecting power, which eventually extended to disrespecting youth and women power within the INC. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla highlighted instances where Randeep Surjewala made derogatory remarks about Smt. Hema Malini, and Supriya Shrinate targeted Sushri Kangana Ranaut. Furthermore, Shri Shehzad Poonawalla noted how figures like Supriya Shrinate and Kanhaiya Kumar raised questions about the army's bravery, undermining the valor of the armed forces. However, Shri Shehzad Poonawalla observed that the Congress has now taken a step further by accepting contracts against the people's power.

Shri Shehzad Poonawalla brought attention to the actions of prominent leaders of the Congress and their allies like the JMM, specifically mentioning Nazrul Islam, who issued threats against the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, suggesting not just his death but also threatening to bury him 400 feet underground. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla interpreted these actions as indicative of the mentality of the INC, JMM, and their allies. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla condemned this trend of using abusive language, disrespect, and threats as a political strategy, stating that it's not incidental but deliberate. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla referenced recent incidents where Congress candidates in Chhattisgarh talked about assassinating Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, followed by Charan Das Mahant, a senior Congress leader in Chhattisgarh, expressing a desire for someone to beat the Prime Minister with sticks. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla highlighted that more than 125 derogatory remarks have been continuously made against the Prime Minister by Congress and its allies. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla suggested that within these parties, the more insults one hurls, the more progress they seem to make, pointing to the fact that even those who have left the Congress continue this behavior.

Shri Shehzad Poonawalla questioned whether this is a ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ or ‘Nafrat ke bhaijaan aur dhamki ka saaman hai’. He referred to Nazrul Islam's statements or those of Congress leaders who say that “Modi Hitler Ki Maut Marega”, "Qabr Khudegi Modi ki” and "Ganguteli." Shri Poonawalla noted that the way the opposition is talking about killing Shri Narendra Modi indicates clearly that Congress and the INDI Alliance have nothing left to speak against the Prime Minister’s vision and mission. They have resorted to the "politics of abuse" and the "politics of disturbance" to protect their own corruption and dynastic politics. The continuous abuse and threats from the opposition should prompt the Election Commission to take action on its own accord. Shri Poonawalla urged that the EC should immediately take action against Nazrul Islam. The continuous abuses establish that while opposing Shri Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress party and the INDI alliance have begun to oppose the power of the nation's army, women, youth, military and the Constitution and the public.

Shri Poonawalla stated that in a similar sequence, yesterday the Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, made a statement where he went to a housing society and directly threatened the residents, saying, “I have come here for business deal, there are 2500 houses, you have 6000 votes, you need Cauvery water, if I get this done what will you give to me?”. Shri Poonawalla asserted that DK Shivakumar asked for a deal to obtain votes for his brother and promised that he will work for the public only after they vote for his brother. Shri Poonawalla questioned whether a deputy chief minister and a government should engage in such transactions. It is the government's duty to address the issues of the residents. Instead of fulfilling their constitutional duty, Congress leaders go and intimidate the public. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla highlighted that a while ago, DK Shivakumar made another statement saying, “Mere bhai ke liye vote karo, warna water supply aur NOC nahi milegi”. This is a direct violation of the Election Commission's Model Code of Conduct and the Representation of the People Act.

Shri Shehzad Poonawalla cited a statement by Congress minister Sudhakar that said, “Agar Aapne Congress Ke Pratinidhi Ko 70,000 Voton Se Nahi Jeetaaya, Toh mein 25 crore Ka Grant Nahi Karaaunga”. Opposition leaders either threaten the public's representative, PM Shri Narendra Modi, or directly threaten the public that if they don't vote in support of Congress, their basic needs won't be met. Shri Poonawalla stated that the EC should take immediate cognizance of such statements and take stern action against DK Shivakumar and other Karnataka ministers of Congress. Congress and INDI Alliance leaders should answer each of these questions one by one.

Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla stated that a situation is being created where the public in West Bengal is starting to feel as to what is their fault. Shri Poonawalla questioned, can a Hindu not take out a Ram Navami procession in the state without facing violence? Shri Poonawalla stated that neither ED nor NIA teams, nor MPs, nor women from Sandeshkhali, nor innocent Hindus who want to celebrate Ram Navami are safe in West Bengal. Only the criminals from Sandeshkhali and the corrupt TMC leaders Syndicate are safe. Everyone has seen the political violence that occurs during the celebration of Ram Navami or post-poll violence. Shri Poonawalla highlighted that when the chief minister makes statements as she did last year, exonerating all the rioters, and even now, through her tweets during Ram Navami, she portrays those who celebrate Ram Navami as rioters and warns them to maintain peace. Meanwhile, she describes festivals of other religions as symbols of peace. This creates an unfortunate situation in West Bengal, where the state government is operating with bias.
