Bharatiya Janata Party's National General Secretary Shri Vinod Tawde addressed the media at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Saturday. Shri Tawde strongly criticized the Congress and the INDI alliance on various issues.
Shri Vinod Tawde stated that a tragic event occurred in Hubli, Karnataka, similar to the one in Sandeshkhali. The deceased Neha Hiremath's father, Congress councilor Niranjan Hiremath, claims his daughter's murder is a case of ‘love jihad’. However, Congress Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is trying to mislead the public by framing it as a love affair.
Shri Vinod Tawde expressed that just as the West Bengal government took no action in Sandeshkhali, the Karnataka government is also failing to act on a similar crime. Shri Tawde highlighted that the Congress’ slogan is ‘Vote Bank Ki Suraksha Bhari, Mahilaon Ki Suraksha Hari’.
In Sandeshkhali, the West Bengal government protected Shahjahan Sheikh instead of defending women's dignity, and similarly, the Karnataka government is trying to shield the Fayaz. Shri Tawde expressed that just as crime knows no religion, the Karnataka government should punish the criminal regardless of their religion.
The National General Secretary stated that after voting concluded in all parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Congress leader and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy began criticizing his INDI alliance partner, DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin. Similarly, once the next phase of elections in Kerala finishes, Congress leaders will start speaking against Kerala leaders. He claims this is the true nature of the ‘Ghamandia Gathbandhan’.
Shri Vinod Tawde pointed out that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has claimed to lead the INDI alliance after the elections. He questioned whether Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge agreed with the claim.
