BJP delegation urged the Election Commission to take Suo Motu action against opposition leaders who make objectionable remarks against the integrity of the country and the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi

Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary Shri Vinod Tawde addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters, New Delhi on Tuesday. Shri Tawde informed a delegation of BJP’s met with the Election Commission to lodge a complaint regarding the violation of the code of conduct by opposition leaders. BJP delegation urged the Election Commission to take Suo Motu action against leaders who make objectionable remarks against the integrity of the country and the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The delegation included Shri Vinod Tawde, Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Secretary of BJP Disciplinary Committee Shri Om Pathak and BJP National Media Co-Head Dr. Sanjay Mayukh.  

 

Shri Vinod Tawde mentioned that today the BJP delegation presented certain matters before the Election Commission, revealing the objectives of the arrogant ‘Ghamandia Alliance’. These objectives include disrespecting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, undermining women empowerment, and denigrating the nation's culture. The BJP delegation highlighted the issue of inconsistency among state election officials' actions on similar matters. For instance, action was taken against Union Minister Smt. Shobha Karandlaje's statement, no action was taken on a similar statement made by DMK Leader MK Stalin from Tamil Nadu. Election officials from various states, including Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Punjab, and West Bengal, are not adhering to the code of conduct possibly due to external pressure. The BJP delegation urged the Central Election Commission to promptly and strictly address these concern

 

Shri Vinod Tawde highlighted Sanjay Raut's statement, where he claimed that Aurangzeb was also born in Gujarat, implying a comparison with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's birthplace, and suggesting that the Prime Minister wants to suppress them like Aurangzeb.

 

Shri Tawde mentioned that the Election Commission has acted against objectionable statements made by Tamil Nadu Minister Anita R Radhakrishnan, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's son Udhayanidhi Stalin, MP A Raja, and Sanjay Raut concerning Sanatan Dharma, India's integrity, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's reputation. He emphasized the need for the Commission to take Suo Motu action. Providing several examples, the BJP delegation urged action against leaders violating the Election Commission's Code of Conduct. Finally, he expressed confidence in the Election Commission's action against these leaders.
