Yesterday TMC workers started removing our banners and posters 3 hours prior to the start of roadshow and local administration kept silent. Our karyakartas were incited to do violence, still they kept their cool.

For two and half hours my procession moved peacefully, no violent incident took place, but after seeing unprecedented support to my roadshow TMC and its goons attacked and threw stones at the roadshow thrice. There was arson and bottles filled with kerosene oil were thrown at me.

Many unidentified objects fell very close to my head. This was a conspiracy by Mamata Government to harm me. This is a black chapter in the democracy of India.

People of West Bengal will never forgive Mamata Banerjee. Large number of media people and members of public were injured during the roadshow. I condemn this in strong words. There cannot be any place for violence in democracy.

Since yesterday morning there was apprehension that some students from Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar College will resort to violence, but police did not take anyone in custody. They didn’t even arrange for enhanced security.

TMC is alleging that the workers of BJP have vandalised the statute of Shri Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar but the question arises when there were TMC workers inside, the gates of the university were locked and the statue was inside the two rooms, how our karyakartas broke it?

In fact the statue was broken by TMC as part of conspiracy to gain sympathy. It was a drama and conspiracy by TMC workers. For votebank politics, statue of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was vandalised.

The way people turned out in large numbers in BJP’s 7 KM historical roadshow, it proved to be unprecedented. More than 2 lakh people participated and it is simply an indication of the fact that Didi’s time in West Bengal is over.

I have come to know that an FIR has been filed against me in West Bengal. I would like to say that in West Bengal alone our 60 karyakartas have been killed, despite this karyakartas of BJP are determined to fight the war of truth and ideology.

Mamata ji if you think that by lodging FIR people of West Bengal would get scared then I would like to tell you that party karyakartas and common people are going to vote against you more aggressively with a purpose to throw you out of power.

If media coverage of six phases of elections in West Bengal is taken into account it is evident that in West Bengal TMC is throttling democracy in the state.

During Panchayat elections in West Bengal more than 60 karyakartas of opposition parties have been killed, and most of them were from BJP. There had not been any election in the country in which so many workers have been killed.

In all states elections are being conducted peacefully, but in West Bengal where violence is taking place Election Commission is silent. It should intervene immediately. We request EC to ensure that the last phase of elections is conducted peacefully in West Bengal.
