Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi’s Press Conference

Mamata Banerjee's government has crossed all limits of ‘Nir-mamata’. Instead of taking action against criminals, the West Bengal government is targeting those who raise their voices for justice

******************

Supreme Court has ordered Central Security Forces to provide security to RG Kar Medical College, which clearly indicates that the moral foundation of the TMC government and the Kolkata Police has completely collapsed

******************

Constitution, life, dignity, and respect are all in danger under the governments of the INDI Alliance. Kapil Sibal, who is a lawyer and is an MP from the Samajwadi Party and a former minister in the Congress government, representing the TMC government

******************

West Bengal Minister Udayan Guha warned that "Jo Ungli Mamata Banerjee Ki Taraf Uthegi, Wo Tod Di Jaegi," while TMC MP Arup Chakraborty stated that "Parinaam Bhugatna Padega"

******************

If the situation remains as it is despite the intervention of the Supreme Court and central forces, then had the INDI alliance been in power at the centre, 'Ungliyan Tod Di Jaati' and severe consequences would have been imposed

******************

How much hatred is there in Rahul Gandhi's 'Mohabbat Ki Dukan'? The incidents from Kannauj to Kolkata show that if the INDI Alliance were in power at the Centre, the situation would have been even more horrifying

******************

Modi government will leave no stone unturned in securing justice for the victim's family and will provide assertive, active, and swift cooperation with any actions ordered by the Supreme Court

Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the conference, Dr. Trivedi remarked that Mamata Banerjee's government has crossed all limits of ruthlessness. Instead of taking action against criminals, the West Bengal government is targeting those who are raising their voices for justice. Dr. Trivedi stated that the Modi government will leave no stone unturned in delivering justice to the victim's family and will provide active, positive, and prompt cooperation in any actions mandated by the Supreme Court.

Dr. Trivedi stated that the incident in West Bengal, which has left the entire nation shocked and outraged, has now been questioned by the Supreme Court. These questions raise serious concerns about the mindset and ethics of those running the government and our democracy. The ways in which five different attempts were made to destroy the truth about this incident is known to everyone. The first issue is the incident itself, followed by the insensitive defence of it. Then, there was the ruthless destruction of evidence, the terror unleashed by the miscreants and the threats against witnesses. Today, it has also become clear that while the TMC government is shamelessly protecting and nurturing criminals, the role of the INDI alliance has also been exposed.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Trivedi stated that the TMC government's lawyer is Kapil Sibal. He represents the West Bengal government in court, is a Rajya Sabha member with the support of the Samajwadi Party, and has also served as a minister in the Congress government. Now, there is no doubt that all these parties stand united in protecting each other's crimes. These are the same people who have stood in court in support of every separatist and even terrorist, and today, once again, they are standing in court in defence of a criminal. There is no room for defence in this, neither for Mamata Banerjee, nor Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, or Sonia Gandhi. Kapil Sibal is their lawyer and today he is defending a criminal, which clearly shows the insensitivity in their mindset.

Dr. Trivedi stated that serious concerns have emerged regarding the destruction of evidence and the Supreme Court has raised numerous questions on this issue. However, the court's decision today to deploy central security forces to protect the college clearly signifies that the moral authority of the West Bengal government and the Kolkata police has effectively crumbled. Another aspect has come to light that the victim used to write in her diary and share it with her father, but many pages from it are now missing. There is a significant chain of evidence tampering, whether it's the transfer of the principal, their reassignment to another college, the hasty transfer of over 40 doctors, the delay in filing the FIR after handing over the victim's body, the premature cremation, the failure to question the director, and most seriously, the action being taken against those who are raising questions.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Trivedi remarked that, rather than taking action against those responsible for the incident, the focus has shifted. Instead, individuals who voice demands for justice on social media or in public are being subjected to legal action. The Supreme Court has also taken notice of this situation. Whether it's 23-year-old polytechnic student Sagnik Laha, who attempted to criticize the government over the incident and faced arrest attempts, or 18-year-old student Kirti Sharma from Bhawanipur, who raised the issue and was subsequently arrested by the West Bengal government—this situation is dire. The victim's parents also spoke out, and when TMC's Santanu Sen criticized the college, he was removed from his party spokesperson position. Even when TMC MP Sukhendu Sekhar raised questions, the police started questioning him as well. It is a serious matter that TMC is taking action against its own leaders who question the government.

Dr. Trivedi mentioned that while the TMC is putting protesters in jail, its ministers are making reckless remarks. West Bengal Minister Udayan Guha stated, "Jo Ungli Mamata Banerjee Ki Taraf Uthegi, Wo Tod Di Jaegi". Another TMC leader claimed that the protesting doctors were just sitting to meet their boyfriends and girlfriends. TMC MP Arup Chakraborty warned the doctors, saying "Parinaam Bhugatna Padega". The BJP has appealed to the nation to imagine the worsening constitutional situation in West Bengal, highlighting that if TMC were in power at the Centre, ‘Ungli Tod Di Jaati’ as their ministers suggest. A current Rajya Sabha MP, who was elected with SP support and is a former Congress MP has taken the case of TMC to the Supreme Court, which the BJP claims showcases that the INDI Alliance favors separatists and criminals. It is clear that the Constitution is in danger under the INDI Alliance. Not only the Constitution but life, property and dignity has also been in danger in the INDI Alliance-governed state.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Trivedi assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned to ensure justice for the victim. He emphasized that with the Supreme Court taking cognizance of the matter, the Centre will provide assertive, active, and swift support whenever the court requires it. The government stands firmly with the doctors who are protesting across the nation. Dr. Trivedi also criticized Rahul Gandhi's 'Mohabbat Ki Dukan', highlighting incidents from Kannauj to Kolkata as evidence that if the INDI Alliance were in power at the Centre, the situation in the nation would be terrifying. He further accused Mamata Banerjee's government of crossing all limits of 'Nir-mamata.'
