Salient points of Bharatiya Janata Party Senior Leader and Lok Sabha MP Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad’s press conference

Supreme Court clearly stated that there was no systematic leak and the integrity and sanctity of the examination were not disturbed

*********************

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is calling India's examination process a fraud and defaming it globally. However, how many times were papers leaked during the Congress government, and did the Congress take any action then?

*********************

The way Rahul Gandhi has tried to spread distrust against the country's examination process and tarnish the image of the nation in the last month is extremely shameful
*********************

Supreme Court decided not to cancel the examination, instead accepting the government's suggestion and approving counselling

*********************

In the CBI investigation conducted by the Centre, it was reported that a complaint was filed against a total of 155 participants from Hazaribagh, Patna and other locations, and their candidatures have been canceled
*********************

Supreme Court, after reviewing the examination results for 2022, 2023, and 2024, found no discrepancies. As a result, the Court concluded that there is no need to conduct the exam again
*********************

Rahul Gandhi's irresponsible statements about the examination system, both inside and outside Parliament, aim to further his political interests and undermine the country’s integrity

Bharatiya Janata Party Senior Leader and Lok Sabha MP Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed a press conference at 21, Mother Teresa Crescent in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the conference, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad discussed the Supreme Court's decision on the NEET exam and criticized the opposition, particularly targeting Rahul Gandhi's statements about the exam.

Shri Ravi Prasad stated that the Supreme Court has delivered an important verdict regarding the NEET exam. The Court quoted, "There is an absence of material on record sufficient to lead to the conclusion that the results of the examination stand vitiated and there was a systematic breach in the sanity of the exam." The Supreme Court clarified that there was no systematic breach and the sanctity of the exam and its process were not disturbed after hearing all the evidence for four days. More than 23.5 lakh students appeared for the NEET exam, which was conducted at 4,750 centers in 571 cities. The Centre initiated a CBI probe and in its early investigation, it was noted that there were complaints against 155 students from Hazaribagh, Patna and a few other places. The candidature of those students was canceled. Out of these students, only one scored 570 marks.

BJP MP Shri Prasad noted that the Supreme Court examined the results of the examinations conducted on the 2022, 2023, and 2024. The Supreme Court found no anomalies in the results and ruled yesterday that re-conducting the exam is unnecessary, as it would cause significant disruptions and potentially harm the academic session. Canceling the exam would unfairly penalise students who took it honestly, putting their futures at risk, particularly those from SC, ST, and OBC categories who may face additional challenges.

Shri Prasad stated that the Central government has ordered a CBI inquiry into the matter, with an honest investigation underway. He noted that efforts by the central government have led to the apprehension of accused individuals, the cancellation of 155 candidature, and the exclusion of others from exams. Shri Prasad questioned Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's criticisms and use of terms like fraud to defame the Indian examination system, pointing out that numerous paper leaks occurred during the Congress regime and similar issues were seen during Akhilesh Yadav’s tenure in Uttar Pradesh, without such decisive actions being taken at that time.

Senior BJP leader Shri Prasad remarked that, following the Central government's efforts, a law was enacted to combat paper leaks and actions are being taken under this law. The question arises whether Rahul Gandhi will apologize for repeatedly defaming the country’s students and reputation. Rahul Gandhi fails to do his homework and understand the issues, instead choosing to damage India’s image.

BJP MP Shri Prasad stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party condemns the Opposition and Rahul Gandhi’s attitude towards the matter and the chaos they have created in recent months. He stated that while Rahul Gandhi is free to engage in politics, he should not weaken the nation. He accused Rahul Gandhi of defaming both the nation and India's examination system with his irresponsible statements, both in Parliament and outside it.
