Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the conference, Shri Poonawalla highlighted the economic growth of the country under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and talked about revised prediction of Moody for the GDP projections for India in 2024 while referring the recent achievements of the country in reducing unemployment ant proverty. He also highlighted Calcutta High Court's decision to transfer the case of Shahjahan Sheikh to the CBI, criticizing the TMC's alleged Taliban-like mindset and secular protection for political gain. He also questioned the Congress' silence on the Sandeshkhali incident and contrasted NDA's development vision with DMK's politics.

 

Shri Shehzad Poonawalla claimed that while Moody’s believed in India's economic development, Rahul Gandhi and his mentor Raghuram Rajan were a 'Guru-Chela' pair with perceived skepticism about India’s economic growth. He criticized their alleged beliefs, one suggesting India's economic growth won't exceed 5%, and the other misunderstanding MRP as 'Minimum Retail Price.' Shri Poonawalla highlighted PM Shri Narendra Modi's Sunday meeting with the council of ministers, presenting it as BJP's commitment to the nation, contrasting it with the opposition's purported focus on their family. This emphasized the ideological difference, where INDI Alliance leaders view their family as India, while PM Modi sees the entire country as his family, which showcases a differentiation between the ‘Family First and Nation First’ ideology. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla highlighted that PM Shri Narendra Modi's "family" includes 14 crore beneficiaries of the 'Jal Jeevan Mission,' 12 crore people with access to toilets, 10 crore people benefiting from gas connections, 3 crore people with electricity connections, 3.5 crore beneficiaries who got house, 80 crore people receiving ration, and 25 crore people lifted above the poverty line through various government initiatives.

 

BJP National spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla highlighted recent NSO data, revealing India's unemployment rate has dropped to 3.1%, and the poverty headcount ratio decreased from 29% to 11%. UPI transactions reached a record high, manufacturing hit a four-month peak, and despite facing challenges, retail inflation stands at 5.1%. GST collections are breaking records monthly. Shri Poonawalla suggested that those with an anti-Modi mindset may not acknowledge these achievements.

 

Shri Poonawalla criticized the Congress party and highlighted that its followers and leaders in Karnataka chant "Pakistan Zindabad," and their leader BK Hariprashad has openly supported such slogans, and now Rahul Gandhi seems to have insights into Pakistan's economy that are not visible to the rest of the world. Rahul Gandhi knows best how to undermine India's economy and diminish its standing. INC leader Rahul Gandhi excels in finding ways to undermine India's economic prowess, whether by reducing it or questioning its advantages. He travels abroad to raise questions about Indian culture and now it's his task to raise questions about India's economic advantages as well.

 

Shri Shehzad Poonwalla asserted that what has just been seen in West Bengal can only be summed up in one phrase, i.e., "Satyamev Jayate". The decision of the Calcutta High Court to transfer the case of Shahjahan Sheikh from the West Bengal Police to the CBI invokes the very response. Shri Poonawalla presented the image of Shahjahan Sheikh being arrested and stated that the image reflects the mindset in Trinamool Congress, it demonstrates the secular protection of Shahjahan. The image of Shahjahan Sheikh shows how the mindset and culture of TMC have become Taliban-like, exposing the true character of TMC today.

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla emphasized the secular protection that Shahjahan Sheikh received for more than 50 days, given to him in the name of the vote bank. When the court intervened and the media highlighted the Sandeshkhali incident prominently, and a fact-finding team reached there, Mamata Banerjee, who had defended Shahjahan Sheikh in the legislative assembly, quickly showed his arrest and created a facade of expelling him from the party. The TMC government, which defends the mindset and behavior akin to Shahjahan's, who would cruelly usurp the dignity of Hindu women and then display victory signs, reminiscent of the cruel practices of Mughal rulers, has now faced the legal repercussions. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla referred to the court's observations and conveyed that there were invisible forces at play that prevented any action against Shahjahan in those cases; it was a concerted effort to ensure that no action was taken against him. The police, operating almost like a wing of the TMC, were engaged in a game of hide and seek.

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla argued that the Calcutta High Court's verdict supports PM Shri Narendra Modi's claims that TMC stands for “Tera Mera Corruption hi Corruption”, “Too Much Cash,” and “Too Much Corruption.” The court found a scam in ration distribution, implicating political figures and subsequently transferring the case to the CBI. Shri Poonawalla questioned INC leaders' silence on a TMC leader, Sheikh Shahjahan, accused of rape in Sandeshkhali. Shri Shehzad Poonawalla criticized AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge's characterization of the incident as 'Choti-moti ghatna'. BJP spokesperson raised questions about Priyanka Vadra's response to the incident involving TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan, accused of rape in Sandeshkhali. He posed the question of whether, due to the accused's name being 'Shahjahan' and his affiliation with TMC, Priyanka Vadra would evaluate the incident through the lens of secularism. Poonawalla suggested that secular forces, vocal on issues like 'Dalit lives matter,' remained silent on the plight of SC/ST women in Sandeshkhali.'

 

BJP Spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla claimed that DMK stands for "Divisive Mansikta of Khandan," accusing its leaders of engaging in divisive politics. Shri Ponawalla contrasted NDA's vision of development and a developed India under PM Shri Narendra Modi with DMK's alleged vision of "Corruption Division" and creating partition in the country. Shri Poonawalla asserted the support of 140 crore family members for PM Shri Narendra Modi, pledging "Abki Baar 400 Paar." He highlighted India's recent GDP growth rate of 8.4% in FY 2023-24, and famous credit rating company Moody's upward revision from 6.1% to 6.8%, suggesting confidence in ''Modi Ki Guarantee'' and believing that ‘Abki baar Modi Sarkar’.
