THE BJP NATIONAL PRESIDENT SHRI J.P. NADDA JI TODAY TOOK STOCK OF MASSIVE DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE RECENT RAINS, FLOODS AND LANDSLIDES IN HIMACHAL PRADESH

 

Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh is facing severe natural calamities and going through massive disaster. People have suffered a lot due to natural calamities . There has been a widespread damage due to natural disaster, several houses have been damaged and there has been widespread landslides. I am deeply disturbed and saddened by this wide scale disaster, and loss of lives and property.

The situation of Himachal Pradesh is a matter of deep concern. The widespread devastation that has taken place in Himachal Pradesh, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is fully aware about it and he is deeply concerned and worried about it. He has also spoken with Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister. He has also spoken with the Union Home Minister.

All the Bharatiya Janata Party MPs will give all their money from their MP fund for the relief and rebuilding process of affected areas of Himachal Pradesh. The Narendra Modi Government is fully committed to give all possible help to Himachal Pradesh and bring people out of devastation and distress.

There should be no politics in this time of distress and devastation. Today's issue is that of serving the humanity and to help people, and not to play politics. Today our entire leadership is serving the affected people with it full might and ability.

We have assured the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh of all kind of financial and other help from the Union government. The Union government will help the Himachal Pradesh government is every aspect of relief and rebuilding efforts. And if he faces any kind of problem or issue, he can directly contact me.

The Union government will help and assist in all works related to road construction, rehabilitation, rebuilding of houses and other reconstruction work to restore normalcy in Himachal Pradesh. In this moment of distress and natural calamity, the Narendra Modi Government and all the Bharatiya Janata Party workers from across the country are with the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister has also discussed about funds from the relief manual and we will ensure that there is no shortage of funds needed in relief and rehabilitation operations. We have been repeatedly saying one thing -- " please let us know your problems, and we will carry out all works".

A state disaster team from Himachal Pradesh had gone to the Union government with a report and the Himachal Pradesh adminstration has also given various suggestions, we are working on all these aspects.

Till now Himachal Pradesh has got Rs 622 crores under the SDRF fund. The state has also got Rs 2700 crores under the PM Rural Roads scheme. The Narendra Modi Government is committed to give all help in rebuilding of the National Highways along with the state highways.

A total of 20 teams of the SDRF , 15 teams of the NDRF, two teams of the ITBP and 3 helicopters of Indian Airforce are working round the clock in relief and rescue operations. Thousands of people have been rescued and shifted to safer places.
