During a press conference at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Union Minister and Senior BJP Leader Smt Meenakshi Lekhi alleged corruption in the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government, particularly in the health infrastructure and Delhi Jal Board. She criticized the government and AAP leaders for allegedly being involved in several scams and misleading the public.

Smt Meenakshi Lekhi criticized the Delhi government and conveyed that its leaders have put Delhi on a ventilator, and those responsible for continuously destabilizing the city are deeply corrupt and engage in severe drama, and their management systems are also weak, as seen in a scene in court yesterday. The court remarked that there are 6 CT scan machines in Delhi for a population of 3 crore, and when the affidavit was checked, it was found to be false as well. Those who had staunchly positioned themselves as ‘Kattar Imaandaar’ have now become the definition of corruption. When it comes to the health infrastructure and the Jal Board, 5 summons from the Enforcement Directorate have been avoided as Arvind Kejriwal did not appear before the agency to dodge the summons.

Smt Lekhi stated that health services are the backbone of any state, and instead of strengthening this backbone, the Arvind Kejriwal-led government has continuously worked to ruin it. So far, in various corrupt scandals where over ₹2000 crores have been estimated by the ED to have been embezzled from the nation by the AAP government, the discussion was ongoing and no response was being given to the agency. Meanwhile, scandals within the Jal Board and health infrastructure have also come to light.

Smt Meenakshi conveyed that when it comes to healthcare, the Arvind Kejriwal government promised to build 30,000 beds, but none of the beds were witnessed to be provided as yet. They had pledged to ensure that the international standard of 5 beds per 1000 people would be met, but even half of this standard, which is 2.5 beds per 1000 people, has not been achieved. Arvind Kejriwal's government promised to establish 900 primary health centers, but many health centers have closed down, and only around 200-300 are operational. Additionally, the so-called Mohalla Clinics, which were established as primary health centers, have been built using tin sheds resembling matchbox-sized cabins, each costing around 50 lakh rupees each. The centralized procurement scheme for drugs, which was supposed to ensure transparency, has also been found to have the most corruption according to audit reports. There are discrepancies in the budgetary allocation for health infrastructure as well. These matters are currently before the court, for which the AAP has filed false affidavits.

According to media reports, ED’s investigation has revealed that two individuals, Bibhav Kumar, and Shalabh Kumar, along with ND Gupta, who is the treasurer of AAP, are being raided in connection with several scandals related to the Delhi Jal Board. Personal Secretary of Arvind Kejriwal, Bibhav Kumar was also involved in a money laundering case.

Smt Meenakshi Lekhi remarked that despite the Enforcement Directorate summoning AAP five times, there has been no response from Arvind Kejriwal. She also inquired AAP Minister Atishi Marlena regarding when Arvind Kejriwal will appear before the ED. Additionally, it was highlighted that there are only three CT scans available for the three crore people in Delhi. The absence of teachers in schools, followed by the lack of doctors in hospitals, and the shortage of beds in hospitals were noted. Arvind Kejriwal has effectively put the entire system of Delhi on life support, indicating a critical situation. Moreover, Smt Lekhi underscored that despite AAP's assurances, none of their promises have been fulfilled, with corruption either persisting or even worsening.

Smt Meenakshi Lekhi emphasized that health and infrastructure serve as the backbone of any state, underscoring the paramount importance of people's health. She drew a comparison between the Central Government and the Delhi Government, stating that the latter is lacking in its efforts. Delhi Governance model has been put on a ventilator.

Smt Meenakshi Lekhi highlighted that the ED's summons pertains to issues like the Liquor scam, in which the AAP government was involved. This could be one of the most significant scams, and while the Delhi CM remains silent on it, there is also the Delhi Jal Board scam. Smt Lekhi pointed out that the Delhi government has filed false affidavits before the High Court, containing misleading remarks about the procurement process. The audit report revealed that the central procurement process violated the law, and the drugs procured were substandard, and not in compliance with the regulations.

Smt Lekhi emphasized that the beds claimed to be of international standards are inadequate. She pointed out the scarcity of resources, such as 3 CT scans for 3 crore people in Delhi hospitals. There are shortages of teachers, doctors, and quality professionals, indicating a lack of infrastructure development in Delhi. The AAP government is driven by a hunger for publicity, power, and corruption while being deficient in action and development. The Delhi government's approach has been "Vigyapan par jor, aur vyavastha kamzor"

While concluding her address, Smt Meenakshi Lekhi noted that there are signs of corruption everywhere, citing the AAP government's inaction on law and order issues and inadequate facilities for Delhi residents while emphasizing drama and alleged wrongdoings in the form of scams.
