Senior BJP Leader and former Union Minister Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the press conference, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized INC MP Rahul Gandhi for insulting Hindu sentiments, highlighting his 'Shakti' remarks and criticism of Hinduism. Shri Prasad pointed out the difference between the INDI Alliance, accused of acting against the nation's interests, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's efforts for development.

BJP MP Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting Hindu sentiments during a Mumbai rally. Shri Prasad noted Gandhi's alleged lack of remorse for his remarks, with his party spokespersons attempting to defend them. He contended that under Rahul Gandhi's leadership, the INC had strayed from Mahatma Gandhi's principles, embracing Maoist, separatist, and divisive tactics instead. Prasad emphasized that the Congress party, under Rahul Gandhi, no longer upheld the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad stated that this is the congress party led by a divisive mind, maoist and anti-hindu thoughts and Rahul Gandhi is totally swayed by these elements. Shri Prasad quoted the ‘Shakti’ remarks by Rahul Gandhi and questioned whether Rahul Gandhi has courage to speak in the same derogatory terms with regard to the fundamental principles of faith of other religious thoughts. Shri Prasad stated that Rahul Gandhi became ‘Chunavi Hindu’, but in his mind he always criticized Hindu religion.

Senior BJP leader Shri Prasad emphasized that "Shakti" is embodied in every woman in the country, including Maa Lakshmi, Saraswati, Durga, and Kamakhya, and condemned Gandhi for demeaning and opposing this concept in his rally. Shri Prasad questioned whether Rahul Gandhi can comment on other faiths as well. There's no difference between Rahul Gandhi, MK Stalin and his son, and Bihar former Education Minister Chandrasekhar and A Raja. Rahul Gandhi never opposed these statements. Shri Prasad emphasized that the nation will respond to such transgressions, and BJP will address this issue in the upcoming election. Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad stressed that respecting the country's faith is integral to the democratic process. Disrespecting Hinduism has become a habit for some, driven solely by vote bank politics.

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad highlighted Rahul Gandhi's response to his 'Shakti' remark, noting Rahul Gandhi's assertion that this same 'Shakti' has taken control of the ED, CBI, EC, and the media. Shri Prasad criticized Rahul Gandhi for lacking faith in democratic agencies when he doesn't receive votes. Shri Prasad remarked that if Rahul Gandhi insults the country's faith and is questioned about it, he will claim that the media is controlled. Shri Prasad highlighted that despite raising questions about the Election Commission and EVMs, Congress won in Karnataka elections using the same agencies. Shri Prasad suggested two possibilities; either Rahul Gandhi is afraid of his imminent defeat or he lacks the intention to fight honestly. Shri Prasad suggested that Rahul Gandhi may be surrounded by Maoists, and if he seeks capable associates, BJP can provide individuals who truly understand the country, unlike him.

BJP MP Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad emphasized political strategist Prashant Kishor's comment on Rahul Gandhi, stating that "even after facing defeat for the past 10 years, Rahul Gandhi thinks that he is correct and doesn’t require any changes." Yesterday's comment by Rahul Gandhi justified this assessment. Shri Prasad pointed out Rahul Gandhi's disparagement of Hindu culture during his Europe tour and cited remarks by a former American President alleging Hindu extremism as more perilous than terrorism. Shri Prasad highlighted Rahul Gandhi's Shivaji Park statement, along with previous comments against Veer Savarkar in Mumbai, as evidence of Gandhi's historical ignorance. Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized the Congress for fostering a "darbari" culture, leading to its decline. Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad stated that the country needs strong opposition, but the Congress is in very unfortunate self-destruction. Shri Prasad cautioned Congress against tarnishing democracy and central agencies, affirming Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's firm resolve to combat corruption relentlessly. Shri Prasad criticized Rahul Gandhi for making false comments regarding Former Maharashtra CM Shri Ashok Chavan and termed Rahul Gandhi a habitual liar.
