Hon’ble Union Minister and senior BJP leader, Smt. Smriti Irani addressed a press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday. Smt. Irani emphasized the Delhi High Court's ruling on AAP leader Manish Sisodia's role in a ₹100 crore corruption case and subsequent evidence tampering. She also condemned AAP for their engagement in corruption, noting their transition from self-proclaimed activists for change to being embroiled in scandals.

Union Minister Smt. Irani highlighted the recent judgment of the Delhi High Court regarding the Kejriwal government and the main liquor scam conspirator, Manish Sisodia. The court's ruling on the bail application brought three key observations to light. It pointed out the corruption that occurred during Manish Sisodia's tenure in the AAP government, amounting to nearly ₹100 crore. The court also noted Sisodia's misuse of government information and the removal of evidence related to the case. Furthermore, it emphasized Sisodia's significant administrative and political influence, which could potentially interfere with witnesses' testimony, aid in corruption, and tamper with evidence. As a result, the Delhi High Court rejected Manish Sisodia's bail application.

Smt. Irani stated that the judgment serves as a testament to the nefarious activities within the Kejriwal government and the prominent role played by Manish Sisodia in various scams. It highlights the substantial gains made by Sisodia and other AAP members, amounting to 100 crores, through this particular scam. This damning truth reaffirmed by the Delhi High Court underscores the magnitude of corruption perpetrated by the AAP.

Senior BJP leader Smt. Irani urges the people of Delhi to heed the public availability of this judgment. It exposes how the AAP, under the guise of service, seized power and plundered the public treasury while disregarding the struggles of the people.
