Our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, who is the world’s most popular leader and also a visionary who has re-established India’s ancient culture on the global arena, is realising the dream and ambition of crores of Indians through ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ on 13 December 2021.
Kashi is a very ancient city, the mythological city situated on the banks of Mother Ganga, which originated from the hair locks of Lord Shiva. It is considered one of the holy 'Saptpuris'. The mention of this great city is found in many texts including Rigveda, Skanda Purana, Ramayana and Mahabharata and Matsya Purana. It is said in the Rigveda - " काशीरित्ते.. आप इवकाशिनासंगृभीता:".
Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on 13 December 2021, will dedicate to the nation and the world the massive redevelopment and beautification of the revered Kashi Vishwanath Dham, one of the dwadash 'Jyotirlings' of Lord Shiva situated in this ancient and vibrant city. It is a matter of great pride, honour and happiness for every Indian.
Several important personalities and dignitaries from the country including religious gurus and sages, intellectuals, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from various states, Union Ministers and Ministers in the Uttar Pradesh Government will take part in this grand ceremony. A large number of devotees will also be present at the programme in Kashi. This programme will be a testimony of India’s rich culture and traditions, its social harmony and unit.
The grandeur of Kashi Vishwanath Dham is magnificent where the name of Lord Mahadev reverberates. It is believed that Lord Shiva himself resides in the ‘Jyotirling’ in Kashi Vishwanath Dham, making it the most sacred place. Our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji had pledged to restore, rebuild and transform Kashi Nagri which is believed to be built and based on the Trishul of Lord Shiva, and now this dream and vision is going to realised and made a reality on December 13, 2021.
To make this once-in-a-lifetime event historical and unprecedented, the Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji has planned several events at the party -level. For one month - starting on December 13, 2021 and till January 14, 2022 (Makar Sankranti day), various programmes and events will be organised across the country. While several programmes have already commenced, various other important programmes have been lined up which will be attended by all the people’s representatives of the BJP across the country.
On December 13, 2021, grand programmes and events will be held in all ‘Jyotirlings’ across the country, while giant LED screens will be put up in 51,000 spots across the country where the live telecast of the grand ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ programme will be done. Apart from this, big LED screens will also be put in all important temples, ashrams and religious organisations so that religious gurus, priests, intellectuals, other prominent personalities and BJP representatives and workers and people from all walks of life can witness live the ceremony from Kashi Vishwanath Dham where our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji will be present. The Bharatiya Janata Party office bearers and karyakartas are working on war-footing to make this historic ceremony a grand success.
On December 13, 2021 all major Shivlayas and ashrams in all the mandals across the country will have the facility of LED screen display where live programmes will be telecast from the Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Arrangements are being made in all the villages in Uttar Pradesh to see live telecast from the Kashi Vishwanath Dham and it will be seen by all party workers and people across the state. The Bharatiya Janata Party has made a national coordination committee under the leadership of the BJP National General Secretary Shri Tarun Chugh to widely publicise this grand ceremony at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham across the country. All the BJP units at the district headquarters level have been told to organise a grand function at a temple, ashram or a religious place where saints and priests, religious leaders and intellectuals and party office bearers and workers will participate. A publication on ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ will also be distributed at the programmes and events which are being held on the occasion across the country. The BJP will also felicitate and honour our religious gurus, spiritual leaders, saints and priests on the day.
Though the main event is on December 13, 2021 at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham, several programmes have already started across the country. On December 8 and 9, 2021, the BJP workers will take out ‘prabhat fairies’ on ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ in all the districts across the country. On December 10, 11 and 12, for three days, a cleanliness drive will be organised in all the temples, ashrams and religious places across the country where all elected representatives of the BJP, MLAs, MPs, Ministers, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers will take part. To make December 13 ceremony ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ a grand success, the BJP has nominated one ‘sanyojayk’ and two ‘sah-sanjoyaks’ in all the states. A booklet on ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ and prasad will also be distributed in 5 lakh homes.
The cleanliness and beautification drive of the city of Baba Vishwanath – Kashi – has already started on December 5, which will continue till December 12, 2021. In every municipal ward of Kashi, a massive cleanliness drive is currently going on. To make the ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ programme on December 13, 2021 a massive success, a public awareness and communication programme was started on December 8, which will continue until December 12, 2021. A total of 300 volunteers have been deployed on this in the Mahanagar and Kashi district. Several ‘bhajan mandalis’ have also been formed which are making people aware about the grand ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ programme.
The BJP is also campaigning to ensure that people in every household in Uttar Pradesh lit diyas which will coincide with ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ programme and mark the dedication of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham, which is at the pivotal of our faith and religion. The BJP will also organise ‘deepotsav’ in every city, town and village and people will pray to Lord Shiva for the nation’s growth, development, progress and prosperity. It will also be an occasion for the people to witness the grandeur of our ancient religion and tradition.
A number of events and programmes are also being organised in Kashi to mark the ‘Divya Kashi - Bhavya Kashi’ programme which include laser shows and special lighting of all temples, ashrams and important crossroads and roads in Kashi. All boats on the river Ganga will also be adorned with special lights making it a spectacular sight. The Uttar Pradesh Government has made special arrangements to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply in Kashi.
On December 14, 2021 the Bharatiya Janta Party will be organising a conference of all Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers where Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji and BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) Shri B L Santosh will also take part. The Incharge and Co-incharge of this programme are Shri Tarun Chugh and Shri Ashish Sood, respectively. All Chief Ministers and Chief Ministers will also be on a three day religious and cultural ‘pravas’ (On December 13, 14 and 15, 2021). All will reach Kashi in the afternoon of December 13, 2021.
On December 17, 2021 the Union Urban Development Ministry and Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Department will organise a conference of Mayors in Kashi. The Incharge and Co-incharge of this programme are Shri Arun Singh and Smt Rekha Gupta, respectively.
On December 23, 2021 a seminar is being organised in Kashi to promote natural and organic agriculture where agriculture scientists, progressive farmers and agriculture experts from across the country will participate. Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji will address the conference where he will share his vision for the agriculture sector and for our farmers. The Bharatiya Janata Party will also organise similar programmes in all the mandals across the country where farmers will be told about various pro farmer policies and programmes being implemented by the Narendra Modi government across the country. The BJP office bearers at the mandal level will make notes of all the suggestions and issues faced by farmers and send it to the higher authorities. The Convenor and Co-convenors of this programme are Shri Arun Singh and Shri Rajkumar Chahar respectively.
On January 12, 2022 to mark the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand ji, a youth conference will be organised in Kashi. To make this programme a grand success various committees have been set up at the Centre, state and district levels across the country.
